Recap / Monster Rancher S2 E9: Battle with the Big Bad Four

Go To

The Searchers come across Naga's castle, and despite help from Pixie and Big Blue, at first they want to go around it rather than fight.

But Suezo insists they stay and fight Naga, successfully teleporting to the castle himself so he can attack it. As he ponders how to get in, the others catch up, and Hare comes up with a straightforward plan. Genki, Holly, Mocchi, and Suezo will go and fight Naga, while the others hold off his army.

The plan works, and soon the group confronts the Monster that laid waste to Holly's village. But Naga is very powerful, and a cornered Holly holds him at daggerpoint to demand answers. Naga confirms that Moo ordered the attack on her village long ago and specifically ordered him to make them suffer.

Genki and Mocchi launch a desperate attack, blasting Naga over the parapet... and despite everything he'd done, Holly begs him to take her hand. The others agree, and with great reluctance, Suezo does too.

Instead, Naga lets go. The last of the Big Bad Four has been defeated—but it's at this point that Moo, having fully merged with his body, sets out to kill the Searchers once and for all.
