The two Tainted Cat Brothers prove to be much stronger than the Searchers anticipated, even seriously wounding Golem and Tiger. Separated from the others, Genki and Mocchi run into Kato, the brothers' former mentor before Naga and Moo turned them to evil.
Undergoing training to fight the Tainted Cats, Genki and Mocchi make their way back and prove that sometimes the best offense is a good defense. The Tainted Cats realize their errors, apologize, and vow to keep training with their master.
This episode contains examples of:
- A Pupil of Mine Until He Turned to Evil: Kato trained the Tainted Cat Brothers, but they ended up joining Naga and Moo's forces.
- Badass Long Robe: When they challenge the brothers again, Genki and Mocchi are both wearing long cloaks that cover most of their bodies. This is actually part of their plan — there's extra protection hidden under the folds, so when the brothers go in for the kill, their claws are damaged.
- Big Damn Heroes: Genki and Mocchi arrive just as the brothers find where their friends have been hiding and are about to finish them off.
- Game-Breaking Injury: While everyone gets hurt in the initial attack, Tiger and Golem are particularly wounded in order to up the stakes.
- Guile Hero: Rather than relying purely on strength, Genki and Mocchi learn how to turn their opponents' strength against them.
- Heel–Face Turn: The Tainted Cats turn good after being defeated, making amends with their master.
- Lightning Bruiser: The Tainted Cats are extremely fast, with amazing offense.
