After Monkey King unexpectedly leaves on vacation, MK is left to deal with the entire city falling to sleep because of a rogue video game app called 'Sleep Bug' all by himself - which was intentionally set off by the Spider Queen’s goon Syntax in order for Lady Bone Demon to begin her true scheme.

- Art Shift: MK is briefly drawn in the style of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure after Syntax insults him.
- The Bad Guy Wins: Syntax succeeds in getting the item he needs.
- Cutting the Knot: It turns out, to be "worthy" of accessing the Cloud Repository, one needs to request registry. MK asked this in a panic to avoid fighting the guardians.
- Technology Porn: The Cloud definitely invokes this, being a massive technologically based temple of knowledge that looks like what one would see stepping inside a computer.
- The Unreveal: The Cloud Guardians allow MK to register his name so he can be allowed future access. He is heard spelling his name in a mutter while he types. The guardians hint it is a long name, which is why he goes by Monkie Kid or MK.
