"Busy Beavers": When a family of beavers builds a dam and accidentally diverts water into Trini's garden, the kids must devise a way to redirect the stream before Trini's strawberries are ruined.

"Busy Beavers" contains the following tropes:

  • Big "NO!": Trini lets one out upon realizing damming the outflow stream to save her garden didn't work.
  • Busy Beaver: It's literally the title.
  • Covered in Mud: Molly, Trini and Tooey high five after completing their dam, which splatters mud all over their faces.
  • Cuteness Proximity: Trini loses any and all sense of urgency or secrecy when she sees two baby beavers.
  • Diurnal Nocturnal Animal: The kids observe the beavers mostly during the day. Justified as they do have young, which typically means being active at any given hour.
  • The Stakeout: The kids conduct one to figure out who's building a dam on the stream uphill from Trini's garden.

"The Night Watchers": It's Trini's first camping trip with the Neegoo Tsal ("Little Foxes") nature troupe, and she's determined to earn her first badge - the Night Watchers Badge.

"The Night Watchers" contains the following tropes:

  • Camping Episode
  • Determinator: Trini refuses to let the troupe give up until they've found a third animal. For her perseverance, she earns the Persistence badge.
  • Scout-Out: The Neegoo Tsal troupe is a scouting group intended to teach kids wilderness survival, observation and conservation skills.
