Cat Noir/Adrien: I'm allergic to feathers. Ladybug/Marinette: That's useful.

"Mr. Pigeon, I am Hawk Moth. Neither this police officer, nor any other of the park keepers, should stop you from taking care of your friends. What would Paris be without pigeons? What would pigeons be without you?"
Hawk Moth

Marinette works on a derby design for a school competition, while as Ladybug, she must stop Mr. Ramier, now Mr. Pigeon, from turning Paris into a reserve for pigeons.

Tropes:

  • Anti-Sneeze Finger: Used by Ladybug when Cat's allergies start acting up.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Chloé hired someone to make a hat from the design she stole from Marinette, and they did so perfectly. Including Marinette's signature.
  • Feathered Fiend: The pigeons under Mr. Pigeon's command, naturally.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: The Swaggy popcorn used to defeat Mr. Pigeon has to be seen to be believed.
  • Foreshadowing: During Marinette's Imagine Spot of the possibilities of her potential failure, she imagines Gabriel wearing a purple bow tie, similar to the brooch Hawk Moth has.
  • Hard-Work Montage: Of Marinette designing a derby hat.
  • Imagine Spot: Marinette pictures a worst case scenario on how the design competition could go, with chalkboard drawings demonstrating her thoughts.
  • The Jeeves: Mayor Bourgeois's butler, who leads Cat Noir to the royal suite and brings him Camembert.
  • Lame Pun Reaction: Cat Noir, of all people, in response to Ladybug's "cat out of the bag" joke.
  • Made of Iron: When Ladybug and Cat Noir shut the fire escape door while running away from the pigeons, they manage to heavily dent it.
  • Not Quite Flight: Mr. Pigeon cannot fly (despite a few attempts at flapping his arms), but since he can control the birds he uses a flock of them to be carried around.
  • Perpetual Molt: The pigeons leave a trail of feathers everywhere they go.
  • Plot Allergy: Cat Noir's feather allergy.
  • Plot Hole: As usual, Ladybug undoes all damage done by the Villain of the Week by throwing her Lucky Charm, a coin, in the air. Problem is, she used said coin to pay for chips, so she would have needed to disassemble the machine to get it back.
  • Potty Emergency: Cat Noir pretends to have one and is taken to an isolated room when he's about to turn back to normal.
  • Rewatch Bonus: The boy who owes his entire life to a magical feather is allergic to the normal kind
  • Road Apples: After trapping Ladybug and Cat Noir in a cage, Mr. Pigeon orders them to hand over their Miraculouses or else his pigeons will "commence fire."
  • Stock Footage: Ladybug running across the rooftops and then stopping to look at the sky is reused from Dark Cupid.
  • Suicidal "Gotcha!": Mr. Pigeon seemingly walks off a roof to his death, only to rise up on a platform of pigeons.
  • Sure, Let's Go with That: Cat Noir pretending to have a Potty Emergency to be taken to an isolated room before he transforms back doesn't really seem to have been his plan at first, based on his momentary confusion about the Mayor's joke about a litter tray.
  • Synchronized Swarming: The flocks of pigeons under the villain's control take various threatening shapes, most notably that of bomber planes.
  • Truth in Television: It is illegal to feed Parisian pigeons.

Mr. Pigeon

Mr. Pigeon's skintight pink hood and overly wide eyes make him look like a poorly-made toy.

How well does it match the trope?
