Rita and Zedd unleash the Hate Master to turn the Rangers against each other, with only Aisha unaffected. Meanwhile, Bulk and Skull investigate a mysterious vandal.

- Adaptational Comic Relief: Nue was a suitably deep-voiced yokai that took advantage of Jiraiya's father-figure Gali and made him kill Jiraiya's actual father for saving the life of his daughter, taking great pleasure in both men's suffering. While Hate Master is still a viable threat through the hate dust he produces, turning most of the rangers on each other, it's balanced out by making him a rap-spouting monster in a vein similar to the Pumpkin Rapper.
- Alpha Bitch: Veronica
- Fingore: When spying under the table in the Youth Center, poor Skull keeps getting his hands trampled when people are talking, first during Kimberly and Veronica's argument, then later by Bulk.
- Hate Plague: By the aptly named Hate Master. He inflicts this on everyone except Aisha.
- Only Sane Man: Aisha is the only member of the team unaffected by the Hate Master.
- Politically Incorrect Villain: Veronica only admits those into the Angel Girls club based on the amount of money their families make, while those whose mothers were members automatically get in. Kim and Aisha are understandably upset.
- Rhymes on a Dime: Hate Master, just like Pumpkin Rapper before him. They're even voiced by the same guy!
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: The Ranger boys and Kimberly bail on the zord fight once Hate Master's dust clouds over them. They return to the Command Center to tell off Zordon, giving up their communicators and declaring that they're done being his pawns before leaving Aisha alone.
