"Three-Legged Race" is the seventh season 4 short of the new Mickey Mouse (2013) series created by Paul Rudish for the Disney Channel and Disney.com. It's the 65th to air on the Disney Channel and to be put up on Disney.com.

Minnie turns down Mickey for Daisy as a partner for the town's annual three-legged race. As such, Pete offer to help, but Mickey is worried that Pete will cheat his way to victory.

Tropes:

  • The Cameo: Von Drake's partner is the Martian robot from the Walt Disney Presents episode "Mars and Beyond".
  • Cheaters Never Prosper: Everyone but Mickey cheats, but they just end up sabotaging each other and only Goofy reaches the finish line, but he's disqualified for running a potato sack race in a three-legged race. Mickey ends up winning by dragging an unconscious Pete along, but it takes him years to get there.
  • The Determinator: Mickey, who is so determined to win the race fairly, even if it means dragging himself there with an unconscious Pete weighing him down, and even if he's old and gray when he gets there.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Donald and Scrooge distract the other participants by tossing a wad of cash in their path, then realize they left a ton of Scrooge's money for them to grab and quickly try to get it all back.
  • Ethereal Choir: During the Time-Passes Montage when Mickey struggles to finish the race, this plays in the background.
  • Honor Before Reason: Deconstructed. Mickey insists on winning the race fair and square even though every single other entrant tries to cheat.
  • Irony: Goofy gets disqualified because he thought it was a potato sack race, only for it to be revealed that he has three legs.
  • Jerkass Ball: Minnie rejects Mickey as her partner for the race in favor of Daisy, laughs when Daisy calls him a loser, then tries to cheat during the race.
    • Same with Daisy as she calls Mickey a loser and joins with Minnie to cheat in the race.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Pete isn't wrong when he points out that he and Mickey can compete against all the cheating contestants on even ground by cheating themselves.
  • Lying Finger Cross: When Pete says he wouldn't dream of cheating, he twists two fingers behind his back.
  • Only Sane Man: Mickey is the only one who is against cheating and tries to win the race fair and square.
  • Overly Long Gag: Mickey struggling to get to the finish line while still tied to Pete, which apparently takes him years before he gets there.
  • Pop the Tires: Donald's nephews use jacks as caltrops to put Horace and Clarabelle out of commission. Their feet pop and deflate when they step on them.
  • Time-Passes Montage: When Mickey tries to finish the race by himself by the end of the episode.
  • Tricked-Out Shoes: Daisy has retractable knives in her shoes.
  • Victoria's Secret Compartment: Daisy stuffs some of the dollar bills Donald and Scrooge toss into her blouse.
