Recap / Mickey Mouse S 4 E 6 Shipped Out

Go To

"Shipped Out" is the sixth season 4 short of the new Mickey Mouse (2013) series created by Paul Rudish for the Disney Channel and Disney.com. It's the 64th to air on the Disney Channel and to be put up on Disney.com.

Mickey and Minnie encounter a lot of exhausting activities on what's supposed to be a relaxing cruise.

Tropes:

  • Biting-the-Hand Humor: The whole episode is a parody of all-inclusive vacation at any of the Disney Theme Parks, portraying them as so "fun"-filled they give you no time to relax.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Mickey and Minnie end up stranded on an island, but at least now they're free to relax and get the rest they need.
  • Chaotic Car Ride: At the beginning of the short, Mickey and Minnie are given a ride to the boat by their friends, and they look absolutely miserable. Goofy and Pluto are singing songs at the top of their lungs, and Donald and Daisy are arguing about driving directions, leaving the mouse couple with little personal space or quiet.
  • I Want My Mommy!: Mickey can be heard screaming "Mommy" when he and Minnie are forced to partake in bungee jumping.
  • Mythology Gag: The ship's design is an obvious nod to those of the Disney Cruise Line.
  • Teeth Flying: Some of the injuries that Mickey and Minnie are subjected to result in them losing teeth.
