"You will all be reunited with...your families."
After a journalist uncovers Dethklok's family members, the band is forced to spend time with them, no matter how unmetal it may be.Tropes:
- Abusive Parents: Played straight with Murderface's grandmother Stella who outright pepper sprays her own grandson when he protests her using it on Pickles. It's Played for Laughs.
- More subtly implied with Toki's parents. As detailed below he's completely despondent for the entire episode while all his parents do is stare at him intently.
- And I Must Scream: Murderface's grandfather Thunderbolt was unable to speak until he got an advanced wheelchair that allowed him to communicate. Once he has it, he begs for death.
- Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Pretty much all of the parents (and in the case of Murderface, grandparents) involved, especially Rose and Oscar who are by far the nicest of any of them as later episodes show but Nathan still has issues with this.
- Asthma Peril: At the family dinner at Burzum's, Pickles pulls out an inhaler to calm down from dealing with Seth. He remarks he hasn't had to use it in 15 years.
- Bring My Brown Pants: During the credits, Thunderbolt states he's soiled himself.I JUST USED MY UNDERPANTS AS A RESTROOM.
- Calling the Young Man Out: The episode ends with all of Dethklok's family members airing out their grievances and that raising children is one of the most brutal and cruel things on Earth.
- "Eureka!" Moment: Nathan gets inspiration for a new song watching Nick Ibsen getting killed by being electrocuted from his own blood.Nathan: Good song title! Bloodrocuted.
- Eye Scream: Stella sprays Pickles in the face to get him off of strangling Seth, as well as spraying Murderface.
- Gross-Up Close-Up: At the minigolf park, the camera zooms in on Stella's mouth as she chews on a hot dog.
- Heroic BSoD: Toki has two words of dialogue in this episode before his parents appear and is reduced to Stunned Silence and a Thousand-Yard Stare.
- No Celebrities Were Harmed: Nick Ibsen is modeled after Larry King.
- Parental Sexuality Squick: Skwigaar hates that his mother is a huge slut and has sex with any man who even makes eye contact with her. Nathan is disgusted by the fact his parents had to have sex to conceive him.Nathan: The fact that my parents had sex in order to create me makes me want to be buried alive.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Dethklok's family calls them out for saying they're not "brutal".
