It is the final episode of the season and things are looking pretty final as monsters appear all over the world and overwhelm all the Center's agents, while the now evil M.O.M. and the Gatekeeper unite to destroy the gang. Is this the end of the line for the gang and the Center?
General Tropes:
- As Long as There Is Evil: The ending implies that even with the portal closed, evil will always find a way to threaten the world, which is represented by the Gatekeeper somehow escaping from his imprisonment.
- The Cameo: The Moth Man, the Giant Ant, the evolved Bacteria and Icetopis are all seen in holding cells of The Center.
- Cool Car: M.O.M.'s personal vehicle
- Darkest Hour: For The Center and the heroes. The world is going to be destroyed by monsters and the only way to stop the destruction is away.
- The End... Or Is It?: Just as everything appeared to be solved, the Gatekeeper somehow escapes from his imprisonment and shows up at the abandoned Center.
- Evil All Along: At first the Gatekeeper appeared to be a neutral entity, only guarding the portal to the Underworld. It's revealed he intended to use M.O.M. to unleash all the horrors trapped within the Underworld to destroy the world and "feast on their bones".
- Series Fauxnale: The episode sort of set up the ending of the series, only for the series to return for another season as if the whole experience never happened.
