Vex tries to make amends with the Morrigan, and the aftermath sticks the team with an illness that robs them of their powers.
- Beware the Nice Ones: After the events of the episode, Hale, in his role as the acting Ash, makes it clear what'll happen if the Morrigan tries anything like that again.Hale: Pull another stunt like that again, and I'll tear your head off and shove up it your lily-white ass, clear?
- Lauren knocks Vex on his ass once Bo and the others are fixed.
- Call-Back: Dyson references the events of Original Skin to Tamsin.Tamsin: Did somebody spike your brewski?Dyson Dude, this one time, that totally happened! I got to be Kenzi. Nailed it.
- Carry a Big Stick: The staff of Righteousness. Upside; anyone who picks it up becomes an ass-kicking badass. Downside; the staff, as Kenzi finds out, fuses to your hand.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Judging by his revolted reaction of "Hungry Like The Wolf", Vex is not a fan of Duran Duran.
- Fanservice: Bo dancing on the bar at the Dal, Bo and Tamsin kissing and playing spin the bottle in their underwear, and Dyson doing a strip tease for both of them.
- Friend Versus Lover: The crux of why Kenzi and Lauren are not getting along.Kenzi: Just what is your problem?!Lauren: The problem is you don't think I'm good enough for Bo!
- Girl on Girl Is Hot: Teenaged Bo and Tamsin end up locking lips, much to Dyson's glee.
- Groin Attack: How Kenzi helps Bo in the open.
- In Love with Your Carnage: How Lauren and Kenzi finally bond; fangirling over Bo kicking the crap out of the Morrigan's minions.
- Not Himself: The Morrigan infects Bo (And unwittingly Dyson and Tamsin) with a parasite that reduces them to the level of teenagers (specifically prepubescent Fae).
- Oh, Crap!: Lauren, Trick and Kenzi's reaction to Bo, Dyson and Tamsin acting like teenagers.
- Put on a Bus: Vex leaves town at the episode's end, so he can figure out his personal issues.
- They Really Do Love Each Other: Despite his griping about them, Vex can't bring himself to harm Bo and Kenzi, even to win his way back into the Morrigan's good graces.
