- Chest Burster: Just as Kurumi agrees to let Shido seal her, an arm (which is revealed to be Mio's in the next volume) bursts out of her chest.
- Distant Prologue: Tells Ellen, Westcott, Karen and Woodman's long story, starting from their childhoods to establishment of DEM.
- History Repeats: Back in Volume 3, Shido nearly talked Kurumi into a Heel–Face Turn before she was Impaled with Extreme Prejudice by the arm of ... Kurumi, who reveals that the girl he was just talking to was one of her many clones. At the end of this volume, just when Shido won over the real Kurumi's heart, an arm pops out of her chest, this one coming from inside her body.
- Past-Life Memories: Shido starts to remember memories from his old life thanks to Mukuro's Michael.
- Meaningful Name: Shido names mysterious girl 'Mio' because they met at 30th day of the month (三 (3) kanji's kun reading is Mi and O for number zero)
- Love Confession: Shido reveals that he received the feelings that Kurumi has for him when she used Yud to show him her memories and tells her he loves her too.
- Final Battle: 30 ships, thousands of Bandersnatch and Wizard. DEM tries to kill Itsuka Shido by using all of its power.
- Taking the Bullet: The eyepatch Kurumi clone sacrifices herself to protect the original from a Nibelcol's attack, encouraging the latter to be honest about her feelings to Shido before dying.
- There Is No Kill Like Overkill: Upon learning about Kurumi's "Groundhog Day" Loop to avert Shido's numerous deaths, Westcott announces that he's going to pull out al the stops to make sure Shido dies for good this time. Cue the entirety of DEM's forces invading Tengu City just to kill Shido.
- Weaksauce Weakness: MARIA determines that the Nibelcol, as Psuedo-Spirits created from the corrupted version of Nia's Angel, are susceptible to Shido's kisses.
