Aqua finds herself in Disney Town with the pass Ventus gave her. She meets a self-proclaimed hero named Captain Justice. Another resident named Horace Horsecollar appears and tells him that monsters have taken over Fruitball Plaza. Hearing that there is a monster problem, Captain Justice refuses to help, leaving the task to Aqua. She goes over to the plaza and successfully destroys the Unversed. Queen Minnie comes and thanks Aqua for her help. She hears Horace mention that their King, Mickey, has left the kingdom, leaving its governance to her. He also mentions that there's an event called the Dream Festival coming up. Horace also says that Captain Justice is a disguise for a troublemaker named Pete, who was pretending to be a hero to win the Million Dreams Award and get the prize. Horace says that he plans to vote for Aqua for the award.
While Aqua is the canon recipient of the Million Dreams Award, the following does not occur if Aqua visits Disney Town before Ven or Terra.
Eventually, it's time for Minnie to announce the Million Dreams Award. She gives out a bag and reveals that the Million Dreams Award for best citizen goes to Terra, Ven, and Aqua. Aqua is surprised that Ven and Terra had already visited, but Pete is furious. Having schemed to win the award, he marches on to the stage to demand the prize from Minnie. But Minnie admits that although Pete did have some votes, he isn't the winner. Minnie then banishes Pete to the Lanes Between, and continues on with the ceremony by awarding Aqua with Royalberry Ice Cream.
Meanwhile, Pete is broken out by Maleficent in return for helping her find the Princesses of Heart...
