"There could be anything in there!"

Carlin, Krash, and Chiko are doing spring cleaning at the former's house. Carlin offers to help them unpack his summer things, and Krash finds a strange suitcase with two locks. Carlin is puzzled, because he does not remember this suitcase at all. Krash and Chiko decide to open it and assume that there may be treasures inside. Hearing them, Carlin quickly grabs the suitcase and closes the house.

During the storm, Carlin comes to Krash and Chiko and says that his conscience has tormented him, so he decided to tell them everything: there is money in the suitcase. When he was young, he found a suitcase with money and appropriated it for himself. Then he felt ashamed that he took someone else's fortune, and tried to forget about this suitcase, but now it has been found again. Krash tries to open the suitcase, but then Carlin remembers that he lost a suitcase with money during a transfer in Constantinople. He then remembers that he had a violin in the suitcase. Once he lived in the Maori tribe and often played the violin for them, but then he left without leaving them anything. Krash and Chiko calm him down and suggest that the Maori are now listening to music on the radio. At these words, Carlin remembers that he gave the violin to the radio. He no longer wants to know what's in the suitcase and throws it into the raging sea. When the storm subsided, the waves threw clothes ashore. Carlin is surprised to find his summer underwear in the suitcase.

Tropes:

  • Anti-Climax: We are led to assume that the suitcase contains something Carlin would rather not remember. When it's finally open, it turns out that it only has his summer underwear.
  • Continuity Nod:
  • Funny Background Event: While Carlin is talking about his regrets, Krash tries to open the suitcase with a drill, chainsaw and dynamite.
  • Old Shame: Carlin is very ashamed of stealing a suitcase with money and leaving the Maori tribe without music in his youth. It is also implied that he could have done even more terrible things, as he suggests that there may be traces of a little cowardice, betrayal or envy in the suitcase.
Carlin: It's hard, when you get older, to live with yourself thinking about all the mistakes you made when you were younger. That's why you forget everything bad and remember only the good. Very convenient, but sooner or later it catches up.
  • Unreliable Voiceover: Carlin tells that the Maori tribe loved his music and couldn't live without it, but had to leave because they didn't deserve it. As photos the viewers see during his tale indicate, the natives actually were annoyed by his music and kicked him out.
  • "What's Inside?" Plot: Carlin does not not remember what was in his suitcase and the entirety of the episode has characters guessing what could be inside. As it turns out, the suitcase had Carlin's underwear.
