Written by Nobuhiro Mouri
Directed by Satoshi Morota

Fear and anxiety begin to takeover Takeru who, having lost twice to Spectre, starts to believe that he won’t be able to gather the Eyecons and revive himself. The mental problems plaguing him affect his ability to stay tangible to others, worrying Akari who begins wondering if Takeru will disappear for good.

After a young girl comes into the Supernatural Phenomena Research Lab for help with her composer brother, Takeru rushes towards the site of the mysterious phenonmena in order to find a new Eyecon before Spectre. The Sage comments that Takeru’s next Eyecon will be “destiny”.

At a music college, Takeru discovers that the prodigy composer Kousuke Kimijima is being manipulated by a Ganma. The Ganma has been removing all ambient sounds that get in the way of Kousuke’s composing in hopes of causing him to produce an Eyecon. With Kousuke unable to hear anyone’s voices, there’s no way to warn him of the danger he’s in. Cut off from the rest of the world, Kousuke’s situation feels similar to Takeru’s invisibility.

  • Dead Artists Are Better: The Onpu Ganma is able to convince Kousuke to attempt suicide by saying that only way people will truly appreciate his composition is if he is dead.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: The Bat Clock makes a brief appearance in its clock form in the beginning of the episode.
  • Time Skip: Much like the previous episode, the show skips about two weeks of Takeru's remaining life. Though there's more of a justification as to why he would let time slip by.

Heroic Souls Remaining: 8 Ghost: 4 Specter: 3
Days left 'till Takeru's death: 45
