The sheep want to befriend the main four. Kaeloo, Stumpy, and Quack Quack agree, but Mr. Cat is more in the mood for méchoui.
"Let's Play at Having New Friends" contains the following tropes:
- Exact Words: Mr. Cat gets angry at the sheep and decides to throw them all off a cliff. Kaeloo tells him not to throw all the sheep off the cliff, so Mr. Cat throws just one of them off and the rest of them follow the other one and jump off themselves.
- Furry Confusion: Lampshaded. Mr. Cat says that letting the non-anthropomorphic sheep hang out with the Funny Animal main characters would be like
having Snow White marry the seven dwarves. - Involuntary Dance: Kaeloo forces Mr. Cat to join her and the others in having fun by turning on some catchy Zumba music that nobody can resist. He ties himself to a tree in order to escape, but the ropes break and he soon finds himself involuntarily doing Zumba with them.
- Magical Flutist: Mr. Cat somehow gets hold of a magic flute and tries to use it to lead a bunch of sheep into a trap so he can barbecue them.
- Talking with Signs: The sheep, who can't talk, resort to using signboards with pictures on them to communicate with the main cast.
