Uncle has built a device that will show them when an immortal artifact activates and lead them to it. Jade dubs this device "The Chi-O-Matic" and it picks up the immortal gourd used to seal Bai Tza the water demon on a survival game show.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Drago is left sitting on a buoy floating in the middle of the ocean.
- Lampshade Hanging: Uncle manages to remove the water powers from Drago but never tries to do so with his fire power. Tohru asks about this, addressing how Drago is still pretty dangerous even when not absorbing other Chi powers. Uncle explains that it's not impossible to remove Drago's fire power, but it would require more magic than what was on hand to pull off, due to the fire being a natural ability rather than something absorbed from another source.
- Making a Splash: Drago absorbs the water demon chi and briefly turns into a living tsunami.
- A Rotten Time to Revert: Drago absorbs the power of Water Demon and not only visibly changes as a result, but even uses his newfound powers to become a living tsunami... only for Uncle to forcibly revert him to normal by the end of the episode, leaving Drago stranded on a buoy far from the beach.
