The mountain demon chi has activated and with this being Drago's last chance, he's determined not to lose it.
This episode provides examples of:
- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: Tohru after he unknowingly absorbs Po Kong's chi.
- Big Brother Instinct: After Tohru has been infused with Po Kong's chi, he starts losing control of himself as he becomes more demonic. However, the sound of Jade screaming for help is enough to reawaken his human side and send him running to help her.
- Brought Down to Normal: Uncle drains Drago of his fire powers.
- Contrived Coincidence: The drumsticks used to beat the drum and seal Po Kong were whittled into chopsticks. Jackie and Uncle take a pile of chopsticks—at least a thousand—and examine them. They fall asleep before they can get to all of them, and a starving Tohru sneaks into the kitchen to help himself to some fried rice. He needs chopsticks to eat it...and somehow, out of the hundreds and hundreds of chopsticks, just so happens to pick the single pair that contains Po Kong's chi.
- Diet Episode: Jade has Tohru on a strict diet and training regimen. Cheating on his diet led Tohru to become possessed by Po Kong's Chi and eat half of San Francisco.
- Does Not Like Spam: Tohru still hates fish and now tofu patties.
- Extreme Omnivore: After absorbing the mountain demon chi, Tohru eats an entire box of cookies and then the box. Then he starts eating Uncle's antiques and later San Francisco.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: When Jackie tells Jade to "Wait Here" due to the violent battle between Drago and a Demon Chi-infused Tohru, she readily agrees due to fear.
- A Rotten Time to Revert: Double Subversion; Tohru is infused with the Mountain Demon Chi and pretty much hulks out, becoming bigger and stronger than ever before - to the point that he casually uses a bus as a weapon against Drago. Uncle nearly removes the Demon Chi from Tohru, only for Jackie to stop him, as doing so would leave his newly reverted body crushed under the bus... only for Drago to do it anyway less than a minute later, though Jackie saves Tohru from the terminal results.
