Nerissa and Drago enact an experiment by merging Jade's stolen chi with Will's Astral Drop. Meanwhile, the Ben Shui monks come to Heatherfield to aid the Guardians.
- Adaptation Expansion:
- The presence of the monks, and their explanation of Jade's role as their Chosen One, adds extra material that was obviously never in the canon W.I.T.C.H. episode "H is for Hunted" that this chapter is based on. And from the JCA side of things, this also contributes to their status as Ascended Extras, as they were never this proactive there.
- Nerissa gets close to Will's mother Susan as part of a larger plan, something she never did canonically.
- For Want Of A Nail: Rather than just making the Altermere as a copy of Will, Nerissa adds Jade's stolen chi to it as well, creating a unique being that's a fusion of both of them.
- My Significance Sense Is Tingling: First when Nerissa corrupts Jade's past life chi, and then when she uses it to create Jewel, Jade and the Ben Shui monks are able to sense that something wrong is happening.
- Named by the Adaptation: As a result of being a fusion of Will and Jade, the Altermere decides to take a name of her own, calling herself Jewel.
- Two-Faced: The Altermere Nerissa made from Will's Astral Drop has Jade's memories and powers in addition to Will's own due to having Jade’s stolen chi added to it, resulting in the left side of her body looking like Jade and the other half looking like Will.
- Xanatos Gambit: Nerissa wants to gain Jade's powers in addition to her own, so she infuses them into Will's Astral Drop when she makes it an Altermere as an experiment to see if someone can handle having both powers, but even if that fails she's making her moves on Susan as a backup. And all of this also serves as a distraction for Drago to sneak into Section 13 and steal the Tiger Talisman and replace it with a counterfeit.
