Post-Sabnock Residence Chapters Summary

Chapter 208: Infiltrating the Teachers' Dorm!

The setting switches to a rare look into the teachers' dorms of Babyls Demon School. At the dorms, the teachers are all seen in the common room enjoying themselves by being lazy and watching television during a day off. However, their break is suddenly interrupted by the arrival of Kalego with Iruma, much to their shock by the sudden visit. Teacher Dali appears with them and explains that he and Kalego have been tasked to act as a tour guide for Iruma. As it turns out, Iruma found a pamphlet about the teachers' dorms at home, which he expressed interest in how awesome their dorms sound. The result is Sullivan and Opera getting excited at an idea for Iruma by coming up with the teacher's dorm tour plan. In the present, an irritated Kalego mentions how it was the principal's orders for him to go along with it, but he also mentions how it's an opportunity to perform a very thorough teacher inspection, which causes the rest of the scared dorm teachers to run off to their rooms and get themselves straightened out. With Dali leading the way, the dorm tour begins for Iruma.

Dali, Iruma, and Kalego explore around areas of the teachers' dorm, such as large entrance room, and floors 1 to 4 being the living quarters where hammocks are seen hanging from the roof so that the teachers can sleep wherever they want. They also stop by the dorms' spacious bathroom. The tour group also runs into teacher March, who reveals that he has a relative entering Babyls this term. March hopes Iruma watches over said relative as the upperclassman, which Iruma accepts. Dali, Iruma, and Kalego continue the tour to the dorm kitchen where they find a rare sight of teacher Oswell out of sorts given that it's his time off. The young and excited Robin then comes in and has fun toying with Oswell. Robin then takes to the stove and begins cooking, which Dali explains how surprising it is that the teachers enjoy Robin's nourishing food. This of course leads into Iruma having a meal alongside the teachers.

As the teachers all join in at the rare chance to toy with Kalego during their meal, Dali asks Iruma what the latter thought of the tour. In return, Iruma states that all the teachers are acting different compared to how they are during school, but in the end, finds this place relaxing. Jumping ahead, Iruma suddenly wakes up at the table as it turns out that he exhausted himself out while eating. Seeing the room now empty, Iruma looks around, and comes across the room where the teachers have all gathered, and are taking their work seriously preparing for the new school term. Kalego catches Iruma off-guard from behind asking what his student's doing, which Iruma states that he's just surprised to see the teachers having a work meeting on their day off. In return, Kalego states this is a given since being teachers was the path they chose, which leaves an impact on Iruma. Since the dorm tour is done, Kalego begins to carry Iruma out of the building. Iruma wonders if being a teacher could be a path for him, but Kalego rejects it claiming that he would feel sorry for the people who end up as Iruma's students.

Chapter 209: A New Member

A young girl is seen in her bedroom getting herself ready for school and putting on a lot of perfume. She then gets a phone message from Ameri to hurry to the council room. She puts on her cloak which causes her to shrink, and once she greets Ameri at the council room, the girl turns out to be Nafra. Ameri's glad to see that Nafra successfully masked her bad scent, and states that they're going to an important meeting where Nafra won't be needing her cloak, which confuses the latter. When they arrive at the meeting, it turns out to be another girl party as Clara and Elizabetta happily greet their newcomer. Ameri explains that they needed a new 4th member since the other is busy (Kerori with her idol work), and figured that Nafra would fit in nicely since she's the same class year as Clara and Elizabetta. Starting their girl party, Elizabetta figures that the topic this time around should be on fashion, such as the "mature young demoness" look.

Ameri, Clara, and Nafra all show interest in the topic, which Elizabetta goes over the basics regarding what they should wear on their clothes, shoes, horns, and tail. Elizabetta points out that Ameri's back mantle is already lovely, which Ameri claims is a gift from her father. Elizabetta also praises Nafra's cloak knowing that its a special magic tool that allows the user to control their height. However, Elizabetta pulls out a set of cute clothes that she believes will make Nafra look even better, or even wear a one-piece dress like what Ameri wore during the Walter Park after-party. Elizabetta also suggests short shirts, but Clara claims that to be wrong as she once saw Lied criticizing someone for disliking short skirts when they've never worn such clothes before. Elizabetta takes this as a sign that Lied might actually prefer long skirts not knowing about his crossdressing experience. Elizabetta next focuses on the wings, and suggests wing ornaments. In return, Ameri shows off her large wings, which impresses Elizabetta, Clara and Nafra. Once it's Clara's turn however, she's too shy to show off her wings.

Changing the subject, the last thing Elizabetta shows off is using transfiguration magic to change their hair color, which Ameri, Clara and Nafra all happily go along with it. In the end, they all continue go about having fun at their girl party, and Kerori's sent pictures of it, which confuses her as to who the new girl is. After the party, Nafra's back at home, and after what she just experienced at the girl party, she tries a different look by putting a flower in her hair while also walking around in her normal-sized look. Everyone looks at Nafra unable to believe that the student council had such a girl, which makes her embarrassed. She walks by Iruma, who catches on right away that the girl is Nafra, and is given off a different aura than usual. Nafra looks at him in embarrassment and yells out in shock, much to Iruma's confusion. The next day, the usually short Nafra decides to just add a neck bowtie to start a bit smaller, which Ronove praises how elegant she looks.

Chapter 210: Like Master, Like Familiar

Jazz goes about his usual antics in the school hallway stealing objects from his fellow students. However, said students don't mind as they're all impressed by Jazz showing himself off as one of Babyls' most revered first-year students. As it turns out though, Jazz holds a dark secret where he's been sneaking off to a Babyls storage room. With no one watching in said storage room, Jazz summons out his Split Wolf familiar, Spoo. Said familiar appears as just a fluffy and small harmless wolf who begins to play around Jazz, much to Jazz's disappointment as he was hoping that his rise to Rank 4 (Daleth) would finally transform Spoo into something less cute. Jazz attempts to train Spoo in secret, but he's unable to get his cute familiar to properly pull off the cooler actions he wants. Seeing that Spoo wants his favorite ball, Jazz opens the nearby storage locker to retrieve it only to find Iruma with a bag of snacks hiding within said locker. Shocked that Iruma discovered him, Jazz attempts to pay off Iruma to try to convince him to forget what he saw, but the scared Iruma quickly rejects it.

Shortly after, Jazz and Iruma wrap up telling each other's reason for using the storage room. That Iruma was hiding from the snack police (Azz and Clara) to peacefully eat some snacks while Jazz was trying to train his cute familiar in secret. Iruma remains confused as to why Jazz is trying to hide Spoo, which Jazz explains his embarrassment that his cute Split Wolf familiar would stick out amongst the much more cooler familiars that many of the Abnormal students have, such as Azz's Gorgon Snake, Sabro's Kelbie, Kerori's Blizzard Wolf and Snow King Fox, Schneider's Smart Hawk, and Lied's Clever Monkey. Claiming that a familiar's form is influenced by the nature of its master, Jazz shows Iruma a picture of what a Split Wolf is supposed to look like, which the Split Wolf in the picture appears large and badass compared to his current cute one. That because of Spoo still being harmless and cute, it's left him confused wondering if this means that he's cute.

Jazz explains that this problem has had him thinking of breaking the contract, but in the end, he can't go through with it as Spoo's become attached to him, and that it would be wrong to throw Spoo away just because he didn't get the Split Wolf he was expecting. Seeing Jazz playing with Spoo, Iruma points out that the two of them do resemble one another, which confuses the former. Iruma explains that despite Jazz's questionable antics on the surface, he's a nice person deep down who helps others. Thus, Iruma claims that Spoo will no doubt be just as reliable when it really counts despite its outer harmless appearance. In return, Jazz blushes finding it unbelivable that this is how Iruma sees him. Suddenly, Iruma notices the sparkling scales on Spoo's tail. Jazz realizes it's similar to a bit of the Split Wolf's cool look from the picture, which Iruma points out that it's a sign that Spoo's growing. In return, Jazz smiles wondering how his familiar's continued growth will go. After Iruma leaves, Jazz is surprised to find his familiar dropping stolen snacks off its body, which Jazz admits that Spoo does indeed resemble him. Meanwhile, Iruma is shocked to find that his snacks are all gone.

Chapter 211: Between Friends

Lied is seen happily walking down the school hallway after being able to talk to Elizabetta a few times only to become scared and fearing for his life after Azz shows up to challenge him to a duel. As it turns out however, the duel ends up being to play each other at video-games. Despite Azz trying his best, Lied continues to beat him to the point of going on a 16 game winning streak. Overall, Lied's surprised to see that Azz has taken an interest in gaming, which he takes as a sign that Azz has grown since the days of not interacting with anyone early on. Lied asks Azz about the sudden interest, and in return, Azz happily explains that he promised to play a game later with Iruma. The result is Lied realizing that Azz is just using him as a training dummy. Azz remains confused as to why he keeps losing, which Lied explains the main problem that Azz set his game character up to be all offense and no defense.

Going back to his observation that Azz isn't someone who normally plays games, Lied decides to ask him what his childhood was like. In return, Azz admits that he was raised up in a different kind of environment. One where he worked hard, and everyone praised him for being gifted, yet it was also an environment where he kept to himself since no young kids his age attempted to interact with him. Azz admits to Lied that it didn't bother him back then since he knew that he was different than others, but nowadays, he's realized that he's lacking when it comes to interacting with others. Overall, Lied figures that the reason Azz is here playing games with him is to learn how to interact with others, which the embarrassed Azz tries to deny it. Azz tries to explain that he has to make sure that his actions bring no shame to his soulmate, Iruma, and that he thought learning the ways of the commoner would help him talk more freely with Iruma. In return, Lied admits he gets Azz's logic, but also points out that Azz already comes off as a normal kid, which surprises Azz.

Lied explains what he's observed that while Azz tends to act as the proud noble, he acts more cheerful and friendly like any of their classmates when he's with Iruma and Clara. As a result, Lied assures Azz that it's okay to go crazy and let loose since they're still just school kids. Impacted by Lied's words, Azz asks if he's really capable of that, which Lied answers that he is, and should just do whatever fun activity he thinks up. Going down the list of fun activities to do, Lied eventually points out that he showed porn to Iruma, which such a vulgar activity pisses Azz off to try to burn Lied with his fire magic. Afterwards, Azz meets up with Iruma and Clara ready to play the new video game that's out. Taking Lied's advice to heart, Azz shyly asks if they can go to a game center that has the new game in Virtual Reality. In return, Iruma and Clara happily agree to it.
