Go To

The Harvest Festival Arc is the 14th Story Arc of the Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun manga series.

The arc centers around the many first-year students, as well as the Misfit Class, taking part in the Harvest Festival where they must explore a jungle set up by the school to collect many plants and creatures related to food, and turn them in for points. The one with the highest points wins the festival. Iruma teams up with Lied to go looking for the Legendary Leaf worth 100,000 points. However, all the misfits are put in danger of losing when it turns out that the student, Orobas, and his partner, Ocho, have set their sights on eliminating all the misfits from the competition.

In the end, Iruma and Lied are successfully able to bloom the Legendary Leaf, which they're both deemed the festival's Young Kings, and are awarded with increases to Rank 4 (Daleth). Meanwhile, it turned out that Orobas was being controlled by Ocho, an evil demon who infiltrated Babyls to gather information on the students and bring it back to his master, Baal. Despite being discovered, Ocho escapes with the information at hand, and gives it to Baal. The most damning being that Ocho discovered that Iruma's a human.

The arc consists of chapters 102 to 142, and was adapted into episodes 4 to 19 of the 3rd season of the anime.

Harvest Festival Arc Summary

Chapter 102: Before -> After

The second semester Harvest Festival for 1st-year students has arrived. Teachers Dali and Suzy go about explaining the Harvest Festival to the students, which is basically a final 1st-year practical exam where the students must gather up food from within a massive jungle battlefield that's been set up behind Babyls Demon School. Ameri is revealed to be the previous winner of the Harvest Festival, which Suzy explains how gaining demon ranks in said festival is the gateway to eventually becoming a big figure within the netherworld.

At that same time, the 1st-year students are all seen gathering at the four starting entrances for the Harvest Festival's four jungle blocks. Amongst the students is Walb of the Broadcast Battler Division, who has data on all the students. Walb sees that amongst the participating 1st-years is a short and smelly Rank 3 (Gimmel) demon named Nafra, the Dorodoro Brothers, who are two potentially powerful demon students that had to repeat their 1st-year after participating in a war, and Orobas Koko, a mysterious bookworm demon who is known for always achieving 2nd place.

The Abnormal Class is the next to arrive at the jungle entrance, which to the surprise of everyone else, they all appear serious and prepared for battle having been put through intense training by their special tutors. Meanwhile, said special tutors take their seats on nearby jungle vines to watch their students perform within the Harvest Festival. Finally, Bachiko wraps up getting Iruma set for the Harvest Festival, such as making sure that he has his new black bow, and then sends him on his way.

Chapter 103: The Start of the Harvest Festival

The Abnormal students' reunion results in everyone arguing over who had the most intense training from their special tutors. The heated argument causes Lied to call for a competition in the Harvest Festival to see who improved the most, which everyone quickly agrees to. Iruma arrives shortly after, but is shocked by the competitive atmosphere amongst the Abnormal class. Azz reunites with Iruma to explain to him what's going on while being relieved to see that the latter had an appropriate special tutor. Azz is also set to just remain at Iruma's side since he's already Rank 4 (Daleth), but is caught off-guard when Iruma announces that he won't lose and that they should both do well on their own hunt. The result is Azz being left stunned in disbelief that he won't be fighting alongside Iruma, but he goes along with it since it's Iruma's order.

Before the Harvest Festival officially begins, Lied has the Abnormal students all gather in a huddle to get everyone hyped up. He basically reminds them of the training they were put through, and that it was all to help them overcome the rank promotion test they're about to take part in. Saying the line that Lied provided them, they all yell out for everyone else to hear to bring it on, and that they will crush anyone who gets in their way. Teacher Dali then makes the announcement that the Harvest Festival has now begun as all the 1st-year students head off into the jungle's four entrances.

Beyond the first jungle entrance, the students are seen gathering up their first food ingredients. A narration is provided that the Harvest Festival is based on a point system. The students gather up food ingredients, and bring them back to the main base where teachers Dali and Suzy are at in order to turn them in for points. One example being a low value Fast-Shroom mushroom being turned in for 10 points. There's also two rules that could disqualify a student. First, Shichiro remains on standby at the base checking for illegal play, such as if a student tries to turn in fake food ingredients. The second is that direct attacks between students that could result in injury are prohibited. Returning to the first entrance, the students all start running for their lives after being greeted by a 150 point Sweet-Berian Tiger. However, it's struck and claimed by Azz's flaming fist, who complains that he's currently in a bad mood due to Iruma's rejection.

Chapter 104: The Strong

Following Iruma's order to claim his own victory, the enraged and crying Azz continues to go around catching ingredients, such as a Carnivore Flower (40 points), Ravage Rabbit (30 points), and Mirage Hedgehog (40 points) and adds them to his large food pile. Sabro arrives with ingredients of his own much to Azz's annoyance that he's paired up with him, but Sabro laughs it off since the Abnormal Class decided to compete in pairs. Azz goes over how the minimum to individually win the Harvest Festival is 50,000 points (Ameri previously won with 59,000 points), but since they've decided to work in pairs, they have to gather up 100,000 points together. Thus, Azz figures that their best bet is to go after Boss Class food beasts that are worth at least 3,000 points each. Azz also mentions how there's a Legendary Leaf secret ingredient out there worth 100,000 points. However, it's been deemed a myth due to no one ever finding it before.

Azz is about to go over with Sabro where they could locate Boss Class food beasts only to be caught off-guard when the larger Dorodoro brother chimes in claiming that they will find one in a cave to the east. As Azz and Sabro step back to re-establish themselves, the smaller Dorodoro brother appears to explain that they overheard their conversation, and challenges them to a duel to see who can claim the eastern cave's Boss Class food beast first. Sabro asks if points are on the line, but the two Dorodoro brothers explain that they're the true pupils of Azz and Sabro's master, and that if they win, they're taking their master back as they believe that someone as powerful as their master is wasting his abilities by just being a teacher for sheltered demons. The answer shocks Azz and Sabro believing that they're talking about master Shichiro.

Meanwhile, Shichiro continues to watch the Harvest Festival unfold with Suzy and Dali. They notice the 2 vs. 2 going on between the Azz/Sabro duo against the Dorodoro brothers in the first jungle block while the second jungle block has something strange going on regarding the Kerori/Kamui duo. Kerori is seen coldly sitting in a chair as Kamui uses Translate to communicate and organize the food monsters to bring ingredients to Kerori to try to please her as if Kerori has become their new ruler. She's also revealed to be a 1st-year that can control two familiars as her Blizzard Wolf and Snow King Fox are seen serving as her bodyguards. Kerori thinks about her training, and how Mister Hat taught her how to stand out while not as demon idol Kuromu. Her cuteness had no effect on the monsters, which resulted in her realizing that she had another weapon. That if she seals away her cuteness, it allows her to show off her beauty. Student and monster alike all remain in awe at Kerori's cold beauty as she claims that the crown will be hers.

Chapter 105: Cunning Demons

Within the Harvest Festival's third jungle block, a battle of intellect and deception is taking place. 1st-year Diabotany Battler Party member, Boro, is seen using his knowledge of plants to safely pick out rare ingredients for him and the demons he teamed up with, and Schneider is amongst the group using his own vast knowledge to help pick out plants. He and Boro then make their way over to turning in the ingredients at the Report Counter to convert them into points. At said counter, Teacher March remains stationed there to be handed over the ingredients.

Boro suggests a scheme to just divide the 2000 ingredient points between the two of them rather than split it with the other helpers, which Schneider agrees with. Once Schneider breaks away from the group however, it turns out that Teacher March was actually Jazz in disguise, and that the Report Counter was a fake set up by the two of them to take the 2000 points of ingredients for themselves; leaving Boro with nothing. As the Jazz/Schneider pair successfully run off with the stolen ingredients, the two of them discuss how this is nothing compared to the days they spent in hell.

The story flashes back to the time where their special tutor, General Furfur, dragged them off to an incredible adult club known as Valhalla. The 3 of them end up enjoying their time at the Valhalla club, and Furfur has his two students show off their skills to the employees, such as Jazz easily stealing a wallet, and Schneider quickly calculating a sales bill. Eventually, Jazz asks about their training, which Furfur assures him that the point is to show how crafty they are to make connections with adults. They all continue to enjoy their time at the club until Jazz and Schneider eventually pass out. Upon waking up however, Jazz and Schneider are now tied up, and have been handed over to the employees, as it turns out that Furfur had sold the two of them off to the Valhalla club to pay off the debt he owes. Thus, Jazz and Schneider realize what the deceptive Furfur is really like, and that they fell for his nasty trap.

Chapter 106: Demonic Tactics

Due to Furfur's scheme, the Jazz/Schneider pair have been forced into working as employees at the Valhalla club for at least 3 weeks. While dealing with all the chores and difficult customers, the two of them slowly pick up on the deceptive game tricks that the employees use against customers. Meanwhile, Furfur stops by from time to time to challenge them to a "Which-Hand-has-the-Coin" game, and if Jazz and Schneider win by picking the correct hand, they will be released from the club. Each time however, they end up guessing the wrong hand as they're unable to figure out how Furfur keeps getting away with it.

During a break, Jazz discusses with Schneider how frustrating it is that despite coming from a family of scumbags, he couldn't pick up on how dodgy of a person Furfur actually was behind his perfect facade. Schneider agrees that this situation has also made him pissed off as he's come to realize that there's many things he won't understand by just reading books, and that it's led to him having a new ambition. He whispers said ambition to Jazz, which the latter smiles in agreement that they're thinking the same thing. Returning to work, Jazz and Schneider continue to learn from the employees about hiding their intentions from others, such as being provided face masks and learning about putting on disguises.

Eventually, Furfur arrives to play another coin game with them, but this time around, Jazz activates his bloodline stealing ability to quickly grab the coin before Furfur could start shuffling it between his hands. Jazz and Schneider remain confident that the goal was to deceive Furfur rather than play along, which Furfur starts crying having been moved by their amazing development. However, Furfur instantly stops crying, and shows that the coin was still in one of his hands. Furfur calls them out that while it was good idea to try to trick him, they're dummies for not thinking about how to stop his trick, and that they should be extra careful when they think they got the upper hand; leaving Jazz and Schneider enraged and determined to finally beat him.

Back in the present, teachers Dali, Suzy and Shichiro continue to watch over the Harvest Festival, which they take note that there still hasn't been any front-runner emerging from the fourth jungle block that Iruma chose. The 3 teachers remain focused on the fourth block wondering why everyone is focused on surrounding the location that Iruma is at. However, they're left stunned in confusion at the sight of Iruma having just settled down with a cooking pot, and is eating the Harvest Festival ingredients for lunch.

Chapter 107: Survival Mode

Flashing back to the start of the Harvest Festival, the Iruma/Lied pair charge into the fourth jungle block with the rest of their demon group. Upon entering, Iruma takes in everything about his jungle surroundings, and comes to the realization that it reminds him of something. Lied remains worried for Iruma believing that the latter's been a sheltered rich kid, and is lost as to how they should start.

Meanwhile, Shichiro holds a discussion with teachers Dali and Suzy about how it's important for the students to not over-hunt. That while it's important to collect points, there's still the 4 days of surviving through the Harvest Festival that they got to worry about. Shichiro explains that in order to not exhaust themselves while trying to take on the Harvest Festival, the students will have to learn how to be self-sufficient, such as deciding what ingredients they should use for eating, and what to turn in for points. Thus, Shichiro figures that the ones who adapt to survival faster than the others will have the better chance of eventually being the overall winner.

Back at the festival, Lied watches in confusion as Iruma climbs up a jungle tree and rests in it; claiming that they must change themselves by becoming creatures of the forest. Surviving in the jungle turns out to be a no brainer for Iruma as this was something he had to do back in the human world when his horrible parents had him out fending for himself in the wilderness. The result is Iruma entering a "Survival Mode" where he calls for Lied to make shelter first before worrying about points. In return, Lied goes along with it having been influenced by Iruma's survival spirit. Iruma and Lied go about enjoying their time in the jungle, and having meals, much to the confusion of the surrounding demons who were aiming to steal their ingredients, and causes them to leave. Seeing the other demons taking their focus off them, Lied comes to view Iruma as a master strategist as his survival plan is taking the target off them, and that their stamina will be well rested for the later days of the festival. Lied hides a few of the ingredients within his shirt just in case, but his and Iruma's attention are brought to an odd creature in an animal costume approaching them.

Chapter 108: Devilishly Pure

Lied prepares to attack the costumed creature only for Iruma to point out that it's actually Clara as she actually put her name tag on her costume. Sure enough, her partner, Elizabetta, appears next to her. Greeted by the Clara/Elizabetta pair, Lied is about to warn Iruma about them aiming to steal their ingredients only to witness him get dragged off by Clara. Elizabetta then aims to grab Lied's attention asking for ingredients since they don't have any, which Lied tries not to breathe so that he doesn't get seduced by her favorability bloodline skill. However, Elizabetta gives Lied a body search, and manages to find the bag of ingredients he was hiding; leaving Lied in despair that he couldn't resist. The crying Lied calls foul that he couldn't resist her seduction skill, but Elizabetta assures him that she didn't actually use it, much to his surprise. She reveals that she can't actually use her seduction skill on the person she likes, which stuns Lied in amazement hearing that Elizabetta likes him.

Checking the ingredients bag she just stole, Elizabetta's surprised by how little Lied actually gathered, which he quickly pulls out another ingredient bag that he was hiding, and hands it over. Lied tries to turn the moment into a date asking for the two of them to eat together at Iruma's cooking pot, which Elizabetta agrees while also claiming that she likes Lied just as much as everyone else. The latter part leaves Lied in despair hearing that Elizabetta likes everyone in the Abnormal Class the same amount, and not just Lied. Unbeknownst to Lied, Elizabetta is someone who actually likes all men, and all types of romance. Thus, making every man her love interest and prince. During her training with teacher Raim, Elizabetta is ordered to learn every trick when it comes to charming men in order to become the most pure devilish woman that no man can resist. In the end, she thanks Lied by kissing one of his horns, and then departs; leaving Lied stunned in place unable to handle the heartbreak.

Meanwhile, Iruma is seen sitting with the monster costumed Clara. As Iruma is about to talk to her, the chest of Clara's costume opens up, which she then shoves Iruma into it. Once Iruma is inside the costume, Clara gives him a playful greeting.

Chapter 109: Clara's Toybox

Clara explains to the confused Iruma that the monster costume she dragged Iruma into is her creation known as "Bakkun," which she desires to show off to Iruma. Touching her forehead with Iruma's, Clara activates her magic. The result is the two of them being brought into a childish world of fun, and Iruma has been transformed into a younger version of himself. Clara describes the world inside Bakkun as "Clara's Toybox," a world that was created combining Clara's summoning bloodline magic with the illusion magic of teacher Raim. Pulling out many toys, Clara is ready to play games with Iruma, which the reason she turned him into a child was to make their playtime more fun. In return, Iruma is highly interested in playing games he's never seen before with Clara despite the Harvest Festival currently going on.

As the two of them go about having fun together, Clara thinks to herself that everything is going according to master's plan. The story flashes back to her special tutor training with Raim, and how said teacher describes Clara's magic as being so unbound and random that focusing on those two aspects of her magic will cause any demon to become lovey-dovey with her. Thus, the two of them went about inventing the space-ingrained-with-fun world within Bakkun for Clara to play with someone until they pass out. It also has the added effect of Clara sucking out the victim's mana while playing. In the end, Bakkun proved to be so powerful that even Raim became exhausted while testing out Clara's fun world.

Back in the present, Clara and Iruma are now both lying on the ground exhausted after playing together, which confuses Clara as to why she also ended up tired. Iruma happily claims that he loves playing together with Clara, which she pouts in disappointment upon realizing that it ended up a draw as she had fallen for his charm as well, and enjoyed playing with him. Despite that, she provides Iruma a hug while claiming in a serious manner that playing with Iruma is what she loves the most. Shortly after, Elizabetta opens up Bakkun to retrieve Clara as it's time to go due to it now being nighttime. Before leaving, Clara points back at Iruma that she will let him off the hook for now. Iruma finds the still heartbroken Lied nearby as the two of them watch the Elizabetta/Clara charm pair excitedly walk away. In addition, Elizabetta was able to gather up 5,400 points worth of festival ingredients from seducing others throughout the time that Clara was playing with Iruma.

Chapter 110: A Night of Screams

It's now the first night of the Harvest Festival, which is where the competition is at the most hectic and dangerous due to the hunter students becoming the hunted. Like past festivals, a lot of the demon students who exhausted themselves out during the first day end up panicking to the point of being captured almost eaten by the ingredient monsters living in the festival jungle. Thus, the first night is where most student participants call for withdraw. This marks the point where the Babyls teachers have to get involved as they're required to help the students escape the Harvest Festival while also search and rescue the students that are on the verge of being eaten. Kalego is tasked to help with the jungle search since his Cerberus can easily defeat the jungle's monsters while Oswell uses his Lucky Happy bloodline ability as a search mechanism to help locate any captured students that they're unable to see. In addition, Blushenko runs the medical tent for those that are injured given his healing skills.

At that same time within the Harvest Festival second jungle block, the female 1st-year group of Haruno, Azuki, Konatsu, and Dosanko are all exhausted and at their limit, but Konatsu convinces them to continue given that this might be one of the last times they're all together before they become 2nd-year students. Suddenly, a large frog-like ingredient monster stumbles across them, which causes the 4 girls to start running for their lives. To their surprise, they come across an out-of-place castle structure in the middle of the jungle, and quickly enter it for shelter. Haruno, Azuki, Konatsu, and Dosanko are relieved that the monster can't break the door down, but are suddenly greeted by the demon of the castle complaining about people disturbing his sleep. The 4 girls are left stunned by the beauty they're witnessing as the castle demon turns out to be Picero without his eye-mask.

Chapter 111: We Can Make 100 Allies

Goemon is seen making his way back to Picero's jungle castle with a large bag of festival ingredients that he gathered up with his wind cutting ability. Upon entering his partner's castle, Goemon's surprised to see the newly arrived Haruno, Azuki, Konatsu, and Dosanko having fun and teasing Picero. Goemon offers them tea treating the girls as their house guests, which Haruno mentions how surprising it is to see a castle in the middle of the jungle. In return, Picero explains that it's just a part of his My Area bloodline ability where he can transform the ground and foliage into shelter. In this case, he just views the castle he made as a bed to sleep in. Picero is on the verge of ordering them to get out since they disturbed his sleep, but Goemon instead asks them to make themselves at home, much to Picero's annoyance.

As Goemon goes off to prepare more tea for their guests, the girls ask Picero if he's close with the former. In return, Picero answers that Goemon is just an idiot who likes to butt in. The story flashes back to a time where Goemon arrives at Picero's home to pick him up for school. Picero remains annoyed that Goemon keeps showing up at his house to take him to school when he would rather just stay home and rest, but Goemon ignores it, and just takes him anyway. Unable to understand why Goemon would do this for nothing in return, Goemon happily explains that it's part of his ambition to "make 100 allies." From then on, Goemon continued to look after him until Picero reached his limit one day, and lashed out at Goemon yelling that he's had enough. Returning to the present, Picero continues to complain about how annoying Goemon actually is, which the girls are just surprised to see that Picero actually talks a lot.

Suddenly, a loud screech is heard outside Picero's castle, which the girls figure that more students are in danger. Goemon moves to rescue them, put Picero orders him not to as this is the Harvest Festival, and that the 4 girls are already a handful. However, Goemon happily answers back that Picero must already understand him, which causes Picero to remember back to how he felt that Goemon wasn't going to show up at his home again after being yelled at, yet a happy Goemon appeared anyway. Picero's unable to understand why Goemon returned, which the latter answers that he figured Picero was hungry. The result is Picero realizing that Goemon is someone who doesn't understand other people's personal space, and that he can't stop minding other people's business. Back in the present, an exhausted Goemon is seen returning to the castle with the demon students he rescued. However, it comes as a shock to Picero and the girls when the group Goemon rescued turns out to have a lot of people.

Chapter 112: Precious Pupils

The four special tutors, Furfur, Vepar, Mister Hat, and Raim, are all seen having a party in a tent that they set up next to the Harvest Festival. Shortly after, Bachiko arrives at the tent alongside Sullivan and Opera to join the party, which they all discuss the current standings of the festival. Mister Hat is the first to boast about his students that by coexisting with the monster ingredients instead of hunting them, the Kerori/Kamui pair has gathered up 14,200 points so far. They note that this is similar to how Shichiro won the Harvest Festival at 55,000 points back when he was a student. Raim is the next to gloat about her students that thanks to them displaying their sexiness, the Clara/Elizabetta pair has managed to tame the boys into giving them 9,400 points so far. Next is Vepar praising her students where Picero/Goemon have gathered up 8,200 points using their skills along with sheltering a bunch of other students within their castle who also have points. Finally, Furfur boasts about his students where the Jazz/Schneider pair have successfully been using their deception skills stealing from others to gather up 12,800 points so far.

The special tutors break out in an argument over who's students are the closest to winning, which Sullivan interrupts to remind them that the Iruma/Lied pair is there within the Harvest Festival as well. However, upon watching the live feed of the fourth jungle block on their tent's television, they see that the Iruma/Lied pair is still at 0 points, and that they're currently just talking about women. The special tutors find it amusing how doomed said pair is, which Furfur claims that they're better off just withdrawing. The claim angers Bachiko as she orders to bring on the booze while discussing with Furfur why she thinks Iruma is better. As the special tutors continue their little party, a majority of the Abornmal students are all seen getting some sleep through the Harvest Festival's first night. The lone exception being the Azz/Sabro pair, who are staying up dueling the Dorodoro Brothers to see which pair defeats the jungle cave's Boss Class food beast.

Chapter 113: The Dorodoro Brother's Provocation

The story flashes back to the moment that the Dorodoro Brothers challenged the Azz/Sabro pair to a duel. The challenge being whoever defeats the eastern cave's Boss Class food beast first gets to keep their master. Azz rejects the duel since there's no benefit to competing over just normal hunting, and that they should just talk things out with Shichiro afterwards. As he and Sabro start to walk away however, they become agitated by the Dorodoro brothers sending taunts in their direction, such as calling them weak cowards and such. Thus, they accept the duel. Back in the present, the Dorodoro Brothers and the Azz/Sabro pair are currently engaged in combat against the eastern cave's Boss Class food beast known as the Hundred Flaringo (worth 10,800 points). The goal is to knock off the shiny fruit hanging from its neck, but it will only fall off the Hundred Flaringo after the fruit's been struck 100 times.

The two pairs are on the verge of knocking it off having hit it 80 times so far. Azz/Sabro have just been hitting it randomly while the Dorodoro Brothers, elder brother Ichiro and younger brother Niro, have been using their teamwork to get successful hits in on the fruit. As the number of times the fruit's been hit increases to 85, Azz and Sabro argue with one another due to their lack of teamwork. However, this turns out to not be their fault as the two of them are currently under the effect of the Dorodoro Brothers' bloodline ability known as Trigger. The effect of the Dorodoro Brothers' Trigger is their voices having the ability to continuously provoke their opponent until they're driven insane. The taunt is especially strong if they provoke a subject about their opponent that they hold dear. Having taunted the Azz/Sabro pair throughout the duel, Niro goes for the final blow by yelling that they're too weak to even be considered the Demon King's right hand.

Given his desire to be Demon King, the taunt pisses off Sabro to outright charge towards the Dorodoro Brothers, which would disquality Sabro due to outright attacking other students being illegal. However, Azz summons up a firewall between Sabro and the Dorodoro Brothers to keep his partner from reaching them. As it turns out, the taunt had no effect on Azz as Sabro had already lectured him about his ambition to be Iruma's right hand man back at Walter Park. Azz also catches on that the Dorodoro Brothers have been using some sort of ability on them having noticed that Sabro was acting dumber than usual, and claims that he won't be fooled anymore. In return, the Dorodoro Brothers don't even try to hide it, and yell out in anger that their Trigger ability that their master praised them for was actually discovered by someone, much to Azz's and Sabro's confusion. Remembering a moment years ago where their master patted their heads, the Dorodoro Brothers explain that they once hated their own voices, but it was master who saved them by changing their minds about it.

Chapter 114: Master From the Battlefield

A flashback explains how the Androalphus Family that Ichiro and Niro were born into are infamous for their Trigger ability; a bloodline so powerful that it's been used for generations to manipulate high-profile negotiations between demons. Ichiro and Niro were taught up at a young age the art of negotiation, but instead, the two of them turned out to be more interested in the glory of battle. Years later, they enrolled into Babyls Demon School, but unable to give up on their dream of battle, they ran away to the northern battlefield to join the war. Ichiro and Niro ended up suffering defeat, but as they were on the verge of death, they were eventually rescued by a masked soldier who ended up becoming their master.

From then on, the masked soldier took Ichiro and Niro in, and trained them up over time. During a chat with their masked master, Niro brings up how disappointing it is that they will never earn glory on the front line as their Trigger ability has them fighting in the shadows like cowards. However, their masked master finds the ability cool, and describes how the Trigger ability to make your enemies lose composure has many advantages in combat, such as causing derangement, using it defensively as a diversion tactic, or even strengthening comrade morale. Their master then pats their heads assuring them that there's nothing wrong with being a coward, and even decides to give them a new name if being a part of the Androalphus Family is what's holding them back. Thus, Ichiro and Niro officially became the "Dorodoro Brothers."

As the years go by, the Dorodoro Brothers continue to happily train and fight for their master, but the day comes where their master's been requested to go to Babyls. The shocked Dorodoro Brothers beg their master to stay, but are unable to stop him. As master departs on his own, he takes off his mask to wipe away his tears. However, master's revealed to be General Furfur behind the mask, and not Balam Shichiro. Meanwhile, the Dorodoro Brothers go about doing research into Babyls, and discover that master Furfur had been assigned as a special tutor for the Abnormal Class. However, the brothers are convinced based on the ranking and combat skills of Azz and Sabro that Furfur's been assigned to teaching them; not knowing that it was actually Shichiro that ended up being assigned as their special tutor.

Back in the present, the Dorodoro Brothers cry out to Azz and Sabro to give their master back as he (Furfur) hates teaching school kids. In return, Azz and Sabro remain confused given what they've seen of their master (Shichiro) seems to love teaching. The arguing continues where the Dorodoro Brothers and the Azz/Sabro pair go about describing their master, and continue confusion the other; none of them ever catching on that they're masters are completely different people. Reaching their limit when they hear that Azz and Sabro have been receiving head pats from master, the Dorodoro Brothers activate Trigger to make the Hundred Flaringo go berserk. The brothers claiming that this will prove that only lame demons go to school is enough to enrage Azz as he deems it an insult to Iruma. Thus, Azz decides to get serious in return, and claims that he will now be using Shichiro's "Unleashing a Wicked Phase" technique.

Chapter 115: Azz-kun Wicked Phase

Black smoke surrounds Azz as he's able to purposefully enter into his Wicked Phase. In return, the Dorodoro Brothers are left stunned in disbelief witnessing a one-of-a-kind Wicked Phase where Azz goes about dancing beautifully while rampaging. Azz easily smashes the Hundred Flaringo into a rock wall, which Sabro calls him an idiot for deciding to rampage on his own. The story flashes back to Shichiro showing Azz and Sabro two small containers filled with edible balls. Eating from one container will cause the user to enter their Wicked Phase while the other container is the antidote. Azz and Sabro remain suspicious, but Shichiro assures them that this training will provide them a trump card to one day be able to willingly enter their Wicked Phase. Once the training is done, they will be able to enter a mode close to "Return to the Origin" that has them fighting at their maximum potential.

Returning to the present, Wicked Phase Azz easily bites the fruit off the defeated Hundred Flaringo, much to the Dorodoro Brothers' shock. Azz then moves to attack the brothers, which despite disqualification being their goal, they still go about avoiding his attacks due to the power of Wicked Phase Azz being more than enough to outright kill them. As Azz is about to land a devestating blow on the brothers, Sabro steps between them. Another flashback is seen where Shichiro mentions that they should prepare safewords to recover the user from their Wicked Phase. The safeword is to be drilled into the user's heart to make them tremble whenever they hear the word, and said safeword will be said by a partner when one has sunk so deep into their Wicked Phase.

Back in the present, Sabro yells out "Iruma" at Azz, which instantly brings Azz out of his Wicked Phase as he thinks about Iruma. Sabro provides Azz a question as to what his ambition is, which Azz answers once again that it's to be Iruma's spear. The two of them go back to arguing over who's going to get more points, which leaves the Dorodoro Brothers confused as they've never seen such a duo on the battlefield. In the end, the Azz/Sabro pair have overall won the duel taking not just the 10,800 points of the Hundred Flaringo's fruit, but the points of the Dorodoro brothers as well.

Chapter 116: Table-Turning Strategy

The first day of the Harvest Festival comes to an end. Amongst the Abnormal pairs, Azz/Sabro leads at 15,100 points, then followed by Kerori/Kamui (14,200), Jazz/Schneider (12,800), Elizabetta/Clara (9,400), and Picero/Goemon (8,200 + extra). However, the Iruma/Lied pair ended the first day with 0 points. The Dorodoro Brothers show good sportsmanship fully accepting that they lost the duel, which Azz and Sabro honorably shake their hand in return believing that it's only right as pupils of the same supposed master. Still refusing to give up on retrieving their master, the Dorodoro Brothers challenge the Azz/Sabro again, but before they could continue, an announcement is heard claiming that it's time to begin the second day of the Harvest Festival. As a result, all the other demons begin to wake up.

The second day of the Harvest Festival is said to be the day that's split into two groups: those that are still exhausted after using up all their energy on day one, and those that are still refreshed and in high spirits. Sure enough, the Iruma/Lied pair are seen as the latter given that they didn't hunt at all on the first day. Lied mentions that they need to try harder in the remaining three days of the festival given that they still have 0 points, which comes as a surprise to Iruma. He remembers what Bachiko told him about needing to earn points along with perserving his stamina, which comes as a shock to Iruma when he realizes that he forgot due to his eating habit taking over. Lied however, doesn't notice this and believe this to be part of Iruma's plan. That Iruma is staying refreshed in order to go after the Legendary Leaf ingredient that's worth 100,000 points. Lied's gambling sense kicks in, and gets excited viewing this as quite a table-turning jackpot to possibly rank up. He asks if this truly was Iruma's plan all along, which Iruma just goes along with it by lying that it was.

With the goal set to seek out the Legendary Leaf, Lied and Iruma agree that their first action should be to look for clues. Lied figures that the other students would obviously not know about it, which Iruma theorizes that only the inhabitants of the jungle would know, and that it would help them a lot if they could somehow befriend and talk with the beasts. The two of them quickly catch on that they actually do know someone with the ability to communicate with beasts: Kamui. Using Iruma's survival skills, and Lied's Controller ability to hear directions from nearby students, the two of them make their way over to the second jungle block hoping that the Kerori/Kamui pair will be willing to help them. However, Iruma and Lied end up getting completely surrounded by many jungle beasts, and quickly surrender. One of the beasts informs Kamui of the visitors they just caught, who then relays the message to Kerori.

Chapter 117: Kerori the Beast Queen

Iruma and Lied are brought before "Ice Queen Kerori" sitting on her throne, which not only the jungle beasts are serving her, but several students that she seduced as well. Acting as Queen Kerori's speaker, Kamui gets the gist of Iruma and Lied's visit that they're here for Kamui's ability to communicate with the jungle beasts as said beasts may have information on the whereabouts of the Legendary Leaf. Kamui then asks for Queen Kerori's orders, which she asks for an offering in return for their support. Despite having little to offer, they provide information on how the Clara/Elizabetta pair has been working, which the Kamui/Kerori pair accepts as it's usual to have info on a rival team. However, Kerori also wishes to be entertained, and throws Iruma and Lied a pair of Akudol dresses, much to their shock.

Holding up a camera, Kerori explains that Mal (her idol manager) desires pictures of dancing girls. She coldly asks them if they're going to do it or not, which due to needing the information on the Legendary Leaf, they agree to go through with it. Thanks to dancing being one of the absurd requests that Bachiko put them through during their special training, Iruma and Lied actually dance together really well in the dresses. Instead of acting cold towards them, Kerori desires for the dance to happen as she's seeking out stress relief from her idol work so that she doesn't fall into a Wicked Phase. As a result, her past as an idol fangirl breaks out, and she happily cheers them on while providing pointers to get them to dance better. Thus, believing that they succeeded, Iruma and Lied are relieved that Bachiko's training actually came in handy.

Following the dance, the jungle beasts go about singing a song that details the directions to reach the Legendary Leaf, which Kamui writes on a piece of paper for the Iruma/Lied pair. Kerori is also seen completely refreshed, and claims that she was just testing Iruma and Lied to see if they were ready or not for the fierce fight that's about to go down on the Harvest Festival's second day. However, she also warns the Iruma/Lied pair that today was just a special occasion. That next time, she will be making them dance on a real stage. The Iruma/Lied pair then happily depart with the Legendary Leaf information at hand, but a final narration is said that the second day will indeed have a fierce fight as one of the Abnormal Class pairs is going to disappear.

Chapter 118: The Iruma I Know

Watching the televised meeting between the Iruma/Lied and Kerori/Kamui pairs go down, Dali and Suzy begin to get excited that a student pair actually managed to obtain information about the "Seed of Beginning" and "Pot of Ending," which they wonder if this means that someone will finally manage to locate the Legendary Leaf. Meanwhile, Shichiro remains upset that his student pair, Azz and Sabro, already decided to use their Wicked Phase trump card instead of saving it for a special occasion. As the festival's second day goes on, more students continue to drop out, and reaches a point where even the teachers are starting to get exhausted from all the search-and-rescue operations. As a result, a new group has to step in to continue rescuing the students: Ameri and her Student Council.

Even though Ameri also wants to see Iruma, the Student Council goes around rescuing the students wanting to withdraw. Council member, Smoke, teams up alongside Ameri as they discuss who will come out the winner of this year's Harvest Festival. Smoke figures that Iruma, who still has 0 points, will be unable to win unless he seeks out the Legendary Leaf, but Ameri remains confident that "her" Iruma will go beyond everyone's expectations just as he has in the past. Hearing Ameri praise Iruma, Smoke decides to tease the president about the guy she likes, which Ameri blushes in embarrassment. Suddenly, the two of them get a call about a big commotion going on at the festival's spectator tent.

At the spectator tent for those who dropped out of the Harvest Festival, Ameri and the Student Council see that a betting game has started amongst the students to gamble on who will come out the winner. Ameri steps in and interrogates the spokesperson of the betting game, which the student points her in the direction of the two who actually started it. The students who started the betting game turn out to be Jazz and Schneider, who are revealed to have withdrawn from the Harvest Festival. Seeing Ameri and the rest of the council confused as to what's going on, Jazz offers to tell the chilling tale of the hell that he and Schneider just experienced.

Chapter 119: Student Hunts

The story flashes back to the moment when the Jazz/Schneider pair decide to move on from the third jungle block due to there being too many people who recognize them when they're relying on deception and stealing techniques to earn points. Thinking about needing to earn points to impress Furfur, Jazz is left annoyed that their special tutor reminds him of his stubborn and selfish older brother, Andro Rock. As they continue walking towards the third block, Jazz starts to feel dizzy, and ends up coming across Rock sitting on a nearby vine. Rock calls out to Jazz much to the latter's surprise. Suddenly, multiple Rocks start to appear and surround Jazz, which they all go about annoying him like Rock usually does.

Jazz starts to catch on that he's been caught up in a plant hallucination, but the moment one of the Rocks calls out Jazz as an inferior version of him, Jazz attempts to kick him. The kick lands, but the hallucination wears off to reveal that Jazz had just landed a kick on Orobas Koko, the 1st-year student known for always getting 2nd place. Orobas reminds Jazz of the rules that attacks on other students are against the rules, which leaves Jazz stunned as he realizes that it wasn't a plant causing the hallucination, but was hallucination magic from another student. In this case, Orobas' bloodline magic known as Trauma, which Orobas can cast out illusions on his opponents that make them experience their greatest fears. Suddenly, an annoucement is heard calling for Jazz to withdraw at once due to the foul he just committed. Jazz gets pulled away by the small demon that provides announcements as Schneider follows after them.

Returning to the present, Jazz remains gloomy after telling his story, which the council members view it as rotten luck that they accidentally ran into a student hunter. However, Schneider replies that he doesn't view it as an accident as he heard Orobas claim that he has "5 misfit teams left," which he theorizes that Orobas is out to take out all the Abnormal students. Overall, Ameri is left worrying about Iruma if the latter gets caught up in Orobas' magic. At that same time within the Harvest Festival, Iruma is seen following the directions the beasts provided him. Iruma's able to find a hidden trap door, and walks down a stairwell that goes deep underground. He finds an underground cave entrance that's shaped to look like a monster with sharp teeth, which the directions state that the "Seed of Beginning" is just beyond it. In addition, Ali appears out of the ring since no one can see him underground. Iruma then starts to walk beyond the underground entrance, but something within the darkness is seen watching him.

Chapter 120: The Seed of Beginning

Excited to be out of the Gluttony Ring, Ali treats Iruma's current objective as a fun treasure hunt for the "Seed of Beginning." In addition, a brief flashback is seen where after reading the directions, Iruma and Lied chose to split up in order to do both objectives at once. Iruma goes for the "Seed of Beginning" and Lied goes for the "Pot of Ending." After receiving a scolding from Ali regarding how he handled the meeting with the Elizabetta/Clara pair, Iruma and Ali end up running into someone unexpected within the underground pathway: the short and smelly first-year Rank 3 (Gimmel) demon, Nafra. However, Nafra is currently tangled up within a bunch of vines after activating a floor trap containing Nigi-Nigi Gripping Weed. Despite not being able to understand the language that Nafra's speaking, Iruma catches on that Nafra must have also been aiming for the Legendary Leaf, and that due to the bad stench that Nafra gives off, the jungle beasts have been leaving Nafra alone.

Seeing Nafra struggling in the vines to break out, Ali figures they should just leave said student before things get out of hand. However, Iruma moves to free Nafra instead. Ali questions what he's doing given that Nafra's also after the Legendary Leaf, but Iruma replies that it's because it looked like the student was asking for help. After freeing Nafra, the demon shows its gratitude by hugging Iruma. Iruma and Ali continue down the underground tunnel much to Iruma's confusion as to why a seemingly friendly Nafra's choosing to follow him. Thanks to Nafra's stench keeping the beasts away from them, Iruma and company only have to avoid the remaining traps until they come across a large underground temple.

At the top of the temple stairs is a pedestal with a seed-like object sitting on the top of it. Iruma gets excited that they've found the "Seed of Beginning" and grabs the seed before a fearful Nafra could stop him from doing something he probably shouldn't have. The temple begins to shake due to the removal of the Seed, and a giant hand comes bursting out of said temple to try to hit Iruma and Nafra. The two of them are able to dodge it, which a voice is heard claiming that it's impressed by their evasion speed. Suddenly, a massive demon-looking creature stands before Iruma and Nafra. The creature introduces itself as Thoth, a genie who protects the Seed. Thoth welcomes the challengers before it, and announces that to obtain the Seed, they have two choices. Either take the Seed by force, or impress the genie by telling it something interesting. The latter choice coming as a surprise to Iruma.

Chapter 121: Thoth the Genie

A brief narration is provided explaining how the genie, Thoth, is a highly revered existence with all knowledge of the underworld, and that the Babyls teachers summoned it to guard the "Seed of Beginning" during the Harvest Festival. The genie asks once more to tell it something interesting, which Iruma struggles with due to how sudden this all is. In return, Thoth explains that he has to make sure that the one who takes the "Seed of Beginning" is worthy due to how meaningful knowledge is alongside one's skill. That knowledge is just as valuable as the Seed. Iruma tries to offer the underworld knowledge that Shichiro taught him, but given that Iruma only knows the basics of the underworld, it obviously fails since Thoth already knows the simple basics.

Nafra is the next to try by saying a funny joke that Iruma doesn't understand given that he doesn't know the language Nafra's speaking. However, Thoth is able to understand that the joke came from the "Underworld's 100 Best Jokes" book, much to Iruma's shock that the genie can understand what Nafra's saying. Overall, Thoth remains disappointed that there appears to be nothing left in the underworld that he doesn't know about, which sparks an idea for Iruma. Thinking about a certain story that he's been reading to Ameri, Iruma asks if Thoth knows about "First Love Memories," which comes as a surprise to the genie wondering what it is. Excited that he finally has something to go on, Iruma asks Nafra to play along with him.

With Iruma speaking out the lines, he and Nafra go about reenacting the scenes of "First Love Memories" in front of Thoth. The genie is left impressed admitting that the story is causing its heart to jump. Once Iruma and Nafra are too exhausted to continue, Thoth announces his excitement over the love story between Rin and Kakeru. Claiming that Iruma's knowledge is a seed of friendship, Thoth opens its hand, and offers the "Seed of Beginning" to Iruma as the reward for the knowledge he provided for the genie. Iruma thanks Thoth for the Seed while also stating that he was prepared to tell the whole story of "First Love Memories" up to the latest volume. The reveal comes as a shock to Thoth, which the genie tries to stop Iruma in order for the story to continue. However, it's unable to grab Iruma due to the boy's high evasion skills. In the end, a narration is provided that Iruma was able to claim the "Seed of Beginning" thanks to "First Love Memories."

Chapter 122: Let's Go Back

With the "Seed of Beginning" at hand, Iruma and Nafra depart from Thoth's temple to head back up to the surface. As they walk, Iruma doesn't know what to do regarding Nafra given that said student helped him out, and that it might only be right to share the Legendary Leaf points. In the end, Iruma puts it aside for the time being, but he also catches on that he doesn't smell the bad odor that Nafra's been giving off anymore. As the walk continues, Iruma thinks over how the Harvest Festival reminds him of his old life, and the struggles he had to deal with regarding his horrible parents. Iruma and Nafra eventually come across a large room full of rock pillars and a gaping chasm below them. The path being to jump along the tops of the pillars until reaching the exit on the other side.

Happy with his decision to stay within the demon world, Iruma and Nafra begin their journey across the rock pillars. However, Iruma is suddenly greeted by his parents waiting for his arrival on one of the pillars; leaving him stunned in confusion. Like in the past, Iruma's parents excitedly claim that they're out of money, and that they need Iruma to provide for them again. Iruma tries to tell them off, but his mother suddenly orders him that it's time to go back, which Iruma struggles to answer. His parents point out that this isn't like Iruma as their son is always someone who does what he's told. Iruma's parents then take the form of a single scary demonic entity begging him to come along, which freaks Iruma out to the point of him falling off the rock pillar, and disappears down into the dark chasm below. Meanwhile, Nafra had failed to grab Iruma at the last second, and is left alone on the rock pillar.

Suddenly, Nafra hears someone clapping from behind. The clapping came from a student named Ocho, who remains excited after witnessing a hallucination magic that brings up one's trauma. Sure enough, Ocho's partner standing next to him turns out to be Orobas, which like his encounter with Jazz, had just put Iruma through his Trauma magic. Looking down into the chasm, Orobas theorizes that if Iruma managed to survive the fall, he'll be tormented by the Trauma magic for the rest of the Harvest Festival due to how strong such magic is. Orobas' attention is then brought to the tiny Nafra trying to hit him with weak punches, which an annoyed Ocho yells for him to get rid of it due to Nafra's horrid smell. However, Orobas ignores it and just walks off since his goal is to just dispose of the Abnormal students, which Ocho excitedly follows along. The result is a worried Nafra being left alone on the rock pillar again looking down into the dark chasm that Iruma fell into.

Chapter 123: Words That I Couldn't Say Before

Having somehow survived the fall, Iruma finds himself in a dark cavern deep beneath the Harvest Festival. As he tries to get himself up however, he's unable to properly stand up due to an injury on his left leg. Iruma's also still under the effect of Orobas' Trauma magic as illusions of Azz and Clara suddenly appear before him. Before Iruma could figure out what's going on, the Azz and Clara illusions state their disappointment that Iruma's actually been a human this whole time and that he can't properly use magic. Thus, they call Iruma a traitor and then leave, much to Iruma's shock. An illusion of Kalego is the next to appear claiming that it's impossible for humans and demons to coexist, and that Iruma has no business being in the demon world. Finally, illusions of Sullivan and Opera appear assuring Iruma that everything will be okay as he's going to be sending Iruma back to his parents.

The dark demonic entity of his combined parents that Iruma saw before falling off the rock pillar reappears ordering the latter once more to leave together, which a scared Iruma takes shelter behind a rock. Iruma catches on that he's just dealing with an illusion knowing that Azz and Clara wouldn't say such things, but is still too scared and unable to move due to being shaken by the trauma. Iruma thinks over how in the past, he was fine living and surviving in the wilderness on his own in the human world, but since that's no longer the case within the demon world where he now has friends and a warm place to return to, he now knows what of the painful feeling if everyone just suddenly decided to leave him. Breaking out into sobbing tears, Iruma thinks about the words that he couldn't say before. That he now feels so lonely.

Iruma shrivels up into a ball not being able to handle the loneliness, and begs the illusion to leave him alone. However, he's suddenly visited by an illusion of Bachiko, who finds it unsurprising that her pupil's such a hopelessly dumb person. The Bachiko illusion reminds Iruma of what she taught him before, which catches Iruma's attention. As the Bachiko illusion disappears, Iruma regains some of his confidence having realized that he was forgetting what his special tutor taught him. He stands himself up in front of the demonic entity of Orobas' Trauma magic, and summons out his black bow while thinking to himself that he's a bow user. Ready to fire, Iruma thinks to himself that he's going to shoot his fear and terror right back at the demonic entity.

Chapter 124: The Desires in the Bow

The story flashes back to Iruma's black bow training with Bachiko some time before the Harvest Festival. Iruma is seen struggling to hit a can in the distance due to the arrow he imagines disintegrating on the moment of impact, which Bachiko points out the problem that his command isn't coming through properly. She figures that the moment Iruma first formed the black bow must have had a strong desire, which Iruma remembers the embarrassment of wanting to be a hero. Thus, Bachiko theorizes that what Iruma's lacking is the focus of imagining what it is that he wants to do with the bow. Believing that Iruma's concentration will skyrocket if she puts him in serious danger, Bachiko casts out a magic that takes the form of a large lion-like monster onto the can. Bachiko orders the magic lion to attack Iruma while trying to remind the avoiding Iruma of the things she taught him. Iruma manages to fire off an arrow at the lion, but ends up missing the can within it, which Bachiko scolds him that he needs to imagine harder that his arrows can "pierce" the object.

The magic lion continues to chase around Iruma while Bachiko continues to yell instructions on how to properly fire an arrow created from imagination. Knowing that he must defeat the enemy in front of him, Iruma's eventually able to focus his desire enough to fire an arrow that "pierce's" the lion properly, which also manages to get a proper hit on the can within it. Thus, causing the magic lion to disperse as Iruma finally came out successful in the training. Heading to the next step, Bachiko pulls out more cans as Iruma must now imagine 99 additional scenarios where he's in danger similar to what he just experienced with the magic lion. She asks if Iruma's going to give up, but Iruma remains confident claiming that this is nothing compared to what his parents put him through. Eventually, both Iruma and Bachiko fall over in exhaustion as Iruma managed to clear all 99 dangerous scenarios that he thought up. Smiling in excitement over the success of her current pupil, Bachiko warns Iruma that he will be her errand boy for the rest of his life if he doesn't win the Harvest Festival.

Returning to the present, Iruma stands before the dark demonic entity created from Orobas' Trauma magic ready to fire at it with his black bow. Iruma remembers Bachiko's words of how his bow won't be ready until his heart is ready, which Iruma thinks over how it's not his parents that he's scared of, but the feeling of being alone by being separated from those he cares about. Thus, he thinks about all the demons that he befriended after arriving in the underworld. Drawing back his arrow, Iruma yells out confidently that he will protect the place he belongs, and orders the arrow to "pierce" the enemy before him. He fires the arrow, which blasts through the demonic entity; causing Orobas' Trauma magic to finally wear off. A proud Iruma claims that he will live in the underworld, and then drops in exhaustion.

Afterwards, Iruma sees a cave spider running away that was struck by his arrow. Due to never seeing Orobas in person, Iruma ends up assuming that the Trauma illusion was coming from the creature. Feeling refreshed, Iruma happily looks up at the world above him knowing that he has to go back to where everyone is, and that there's still a Harvest Festival to complete. Getting serious, Iruma reassures himself that he will show that he can stand with his demon friends despite himself being a human. He announces that he will do this by winning the Harvest Festival.

Chapter 125: The Young King

Jumping ahead, the Harvest Festival has about wrapped up its third day. While many more students have dropped out, the remaining survivors have gotten used to their methods of gathering up food ingredients, and continue to turn them in for points. The Azz/Sabro pair is seen successfully hunting a Gatermelon worth 1,500 points while continuing their ongoing hunting duel against the Dorodoro Brothers. However, they've been struggling to find any good Boss class monsters ever since the Hundred Flaringo. Meanwhile, the Picero/Goemon pair is seen acting as the leaders of a raid group formed by the student refugees they took in, which they all manage to take down a Boss class monster of their own: a Patched Cow worth 3,800 points. Despite the raid group needing to share their points, Picero figures that they'll be fine as long as they hunt a lot.

Switching over to the Kerori/Kamui pair, the jungle beasts that were all subjugated by Queen Kerori have continued to bring in ingredients to impress said queen. Believing that she will need something else to win, Kerori decides that it's about time to seek out a strong ally. Elsewhere, the student that the Jazz/Schneider pair tricked on the first day, Boro, is seen having resorted to using deceptive strategies as well by stealing ingredients from his teammates. However, Boro ends up running into the seductive Elizabetta/Clara pair, and winds up being seduced by Elizabetta into handing over his ingredients to her. Meanwhile, Clara shows that she's been using her Bakkun suit to capture and drain the energy of the jungle beasts that she's going to turn in for points. Shortly after, Kalego appears at the teacher's tent to announce the current standings of the Harvest Festival to its participants.

All the students stop what they're doing to listen to Kalego's announcements. Azz has 21,800 points. Sabnock has 18,600 points. Both Dorodoro Brothers have 16,500 points each. Kerori has 19,200 points. Kamui has 12,400 points. Elizabetta has 13,200 points. Clara has 9,800 points. Orobas has 15,400 points. Picero has 9,500 points. And Goemon has 9,500 points. Along with a few others, Kalego announces that these are currently the passing grades of those who have survived in a jungle that represents the underworld they live in. Kalego further explains that this is proof of their ability, and that the one who stands at the top will receive a prestigious title that will be known for future descendants: the title of Young Candidate for Demon King. That the one who wins the Harvest Festival will be given said title.

Continuing the announcement, Kalego states his annoyance that a certain foolish student (implyed to be Iruma) still has 0 points, and that his current whereabouts are unknown. Kalego's unable to understand why said student hasn't withdrawn yet, and yells for the boy to return to the Harvest Festival already if he truly has the desire to win. Meanwhile, the teachers watching find it hilarious that Kalego appears to be playing favorites, which Kalego tries to deny by claiming that rescuing the lost student would be a pain. Suzy then takes over to announce the remaining lower student scores until there's no one left, which comes as a shock to Azz and Clara when they don't hear Iruma's name.

Chapter 126: My Own Magic

Sabro and Elizabetta both catch on how the missing 0 point student that Kalego mentioned is Iruma as both Azz and Clara remain silent. The story flashes back to the days of the special tutor training where Azz and Clara walk and argue their way towards Iruma as they want to inform him of how their training's been going. As they come across Iruma however, they spot him with Bachiko training hard at getting the handle of using his black bow. Witnessing Iruma taking things seriously, Azz and Clara both agree to head back to train even harder. Meanwhile in the present, both Azz and Clara remain calm, and completely unworried, as they believe in Iruma knowing that he trained hard for the Harvest Festival. Though they both still desperately desire to see Iruma again.

At that same time, Iruma is seen still within the dark underground cavern trying to climb back up to the top of the rock pillar that he fell off. Iruma desires to see Azz and Clara, which Ali is finally seen again getting annoyed by the amount of times Iruma has said such words. Ali also mentions how it's thanks to him that Iruma survived the initial fall due to turning into a giant cushion to catch Iruma at the last second. Ali also protected Iruma from monsters while he was hallucinating, and even found the "Seed of Beginning" that fell off Iruma. In return, Iruma remains confident that dealing with the hallucination helped him find his resolve regarding the place he belongs, and desires to go back. Ali remains unconvinced given their struggle to get out of the underground cavern. However, to Iruma's shock, they're both suddenly greeted by Nafra, who managed to make it down to Iruma's location.

Due to his lack of demon wings, Iruma has to lie to Nafra that his wings are injured. The result is Nafra trying to lift Iruma, but is unable to handle his weight. Iruma also points out that it's best to leave him given his leg injury, but Nafra proudly shows off that it kept some of the Nigi-Nigi Gripping Weed that it was caught up in earlier. After Nafra pours water onto the Gripping Weed, it grows up along the rock pillar to allow Iruma to climb up the vine. Iruma remains unconvinced that he can pull off the climb due to his injured leg, but the sight of his injury causes him to remember back to how his own blood healed a demon bird's injury back during the Flying Race event. Believing that his human blood can perform magic on the netherworld, Iruma bites his finger, and drops his blood onto the Gripping Weed.

At that same time back on the surface, everyone becomes confused by the ground starting to shake. They all watch as a giant Gripping Weed comes bursting out of the ground, much to everyone's shock with the exception of Clara and Azz both looking happy. Sabro laughs that this moment seems familiar (referring to the giant Sakura Tree that Iruma created), which Azz happily agrees that there's only one such person who can pull such a stunt. Meanwhile, Iruma and Nafra are seen on the top of the Gripping Weed high above the Harvest Festival, which Iruma waves hi for the festival camera.

Chapter 127: Lied's Agony

While waving at the camera, Iruma announces that he has the "Seed of Beginning" to make sure that Lied hears the message, and that they should reunite at the meeting place they mentioned. The teachers watching the television are surprised by the announcment, which the irritated Kalego takes the speaker to yell at Iruma asking if he's hurt and if he needs to withdraw given his disappearance. However, Iruma announces that he's going to win, which Kalego yells at him to get back to hunting then since he still has 0 points. With Nafra still with him, Iruma puts his focus back onto the Harvest Festival. His first objective being to reunite with Lied. At that same time, a scared Lied is seen hiding in jungle bushes from the other demon students currently searching for him. He calls Iruma a dummy for the announcement just now.

The story flashes back to after Lied had split off from Iruma in order to search for the "Pot of Ending." Following the directions, Lied stumbled upon a different cavern temple where he faced off against a genie that challenged him to 100 different games. In the end, Lied wins the challenge given his skills in gaming and gambling, and claimed the "Pot of Ending" that the genie was protecting. Lied makes his way back out to the festival jungle where he's in high spirits and boasts about himself over his success. However, teachers Suzy and Dali provide a sudden intermission announcement to remind the students of how turning in ingredients for points works, which knowing that Lied had just found the "Pot of Ending," they call out to Lied that turning in the Pot is worth 20,000 points. The announcement freaks out Lied knowing that the teachers did that on purpose to make the other students go after him. It freaks him out even further when Suzy and Dali mention in the announcement that the Pot in Lied's possession is a key to searching for the Legendary Leaf. If that wasn't enough, Iruma comes bursting out of the ground moments after to announce that he has the Seed.

After a brief bit of excitement hearing that Iruma succeeded in claiming the "Seed of Beginning," Lied continues to freak out knowing that the announcement brought them even more attention since all the students now know that they now have both the key components to obtain the Legendary Leaf. Returning to the present, Lied remains in hiding within a jungle bush while many of demons students are seen all around searching for him. Lied remains determined to make sure that he doesn't lose the "Pot of Ending." However, he's suddenly found by the worst person that he could easily lose the Pot to: Elizabetta.

Chapter 128: Disturbed Heart

Some time after, Iruma's able to reunite with Lied at their meeting spot. However, Lied cries out the bad news that he ended up losing the "Pot of Ending" to Elizabetta due to how cruel she was. The story flashes back to the moment Elizabetta found Lied, who remains determined to not lose the Pot, and backs away to stay out of range of Elizabetta's seduction ability. Elizabetta steps foward apologizing for not making things clear to Lied beforehand, which she flat out tells him that she doesn't actually like him, much to Lied's shock. She further explains all the bad aspects of Lied, and that she really hates how pervy he acts, which deals the final blow to Lied, and knocks him out being unable to handle the rejection.

Returning to the present, the still crying Lied reveals to Iruma that after waking back up, the Pot was nowhere to be seen. Lied remains unable to understand why Elizabetta wasn't acting like her usual self, which Iruma figures must have been an illusion as seeing a hallucination of someone acting out-of-character is exactly what he went through down in the underground cavern. Iruma goes over how he originally thought that it was just a plant or monster making him experience a painful illusion, but he theorizes that it must have actually been another student making them experience hallucinations given that they took the "Pot of Ending." Elsewhere, Orobas is seen now holding the Pot, which Ocho laughs at how easy stealing it was after making Lied experience the Trauma magic. Glad they he kept Lied at 0 points, Orobas remains focused on Iruma finding it surprising that he somehow got out of the cave.

Back over to Iruma, he decides that they should seek out Elizabetta just to be sure about their theory, which Lied happily agrees with wanting the illusion theory to be true. Lied then pulls out music headphones, a gamepad, and a book prepared to focus hard on his Controller ability in order to locate Elizabetta. The story briefly flashes back to his special tutor training with teacher Robin, which in order to increase Lied's focus, Robin provides his pupil with music headphones, a gamepad, and a book. The training being to temporarily block some of his senses with Controller while listening to music, playing games, and reading a book. Despite how hard it is to do such multi-tasking, the training ends up leaving Lied extremely excited as it maxes out his need to focus. Returning to the present, Lied's able to locate what sounds like Elizabetta's voice at a far away location through his Controller ability thanks to the training. However, it comes as a shock to him when he realizes that what he's hearing sounds like Elizabetta and Clara relaxing in a hotspring.

Chapter 129: Let's Get It

Along with Elizabetta and Clara hanging out in the hot spring, it turns out that they're enjoying it alongside Kerori. The hot spring being a location that only Kerori knows about as it was discovered by her subjugated beasts. Meanwhile, Lied is still unable to believe what he's hearing knowing that he hit the jackpot, but remains confused as to why Kerori is with them. The three girls go about comparing bodies, which Lied cries happy tears over the fact that he was blessed with such an ability to let him experience this. Changing the subject back to the Harvest Festival, Elizabetta questions Kerori why she sent one of her beasts to bring the two of them here. Kerori answers that in return for experincing her hot spring, she desires for the Elizabetta/Clara pair to join her plan. Hearing about the plan catches Lied's attention, but he's unable to confirm if the voice really is Elizabetta since he can't see her.

Getting a nosebleed over pervy thoughts, Lied figures that his only option at this point is to steal someone's vision in order to peak into the girls' hot spring. As Lied is about to go through with it, he hears Kerori mention how worried she is that someone might be trying to peek on them, which shocks Clara and Elizabetta as they claim that only a pervert would do that. The mention of a pervert hits Lied hard as he's reminded of the rejection he just experienced. Thus, he's left in despair yelling out that he's not a pervert, much to Iruma's shock. Lied ended up losing focus due to being shaken just now, but informs Iruma that since he's got the gist of where Elizabetta is, they should head to Queen Kerori's Beast Empire to see things for themselves. Iruma and Nafra agree with the plan, which confuses Lied due to Nafra's sudden appearance. Iruma tries to introduce Nafra, but just like everyone else, Lied is unable to handle the smell.

The redressed Kerori, Clara and Elizabetta exit the hot spring, which a gloomy Kamui remains disappointed that he didn't get to see them naked. Kamui provides an update that while they currently have the upper hand, the opposing side isn't giving up. The Elizabetta/Clara pair remain confused as to what Kamui's talking about, which Kerori explains that she needs the two of them to seduce the enemy, and that they will divide the loot afterwards. From a high ledge, Kerori points them in the direction of the Picero's castle in the middle of the jungle that her subjegated beasts are currently laying siege to. The plan is to take the castle, and the festival ingredients stored within it, but the castle's refugees are currently holding them back. Kerori explains that she sent a warning note to the castle's inhabitants beforehand that she will be taking the castle by force if they don't hand over the ingredients, which Picero and company when they read the note. Claiming that the forest only needs one ruler, Kerori announces that she will take the castle, and become the festival's Young King. In return, Picero, Goemon and the refugees find it unbelievable that this is happening.

Chapter 130: The Misfit's Great War

At the start of the Harvest Festival's fourth day, Picero is being treated as the lord of the castle by its student refugees, which they all go about informing him how the current battle holding off Kerori's Beast Empire is going. Despite Kerori's offer that she will stop the raid if they hand over everything, Konatsu from the 1st-year girl group is able to convince everyone to not give up by continuing to protect the home that has brought them all together, and given them warm memories. This annoys Picero given that they're treating his home as theirs, and even points out his irritation that he wouldn't have minding them just taking the points and leaving his castle, yet they stuck around because they like the life-style the castle gave them. Standing with him, Goemon points out that all the refugees caught on to Picero's kindness that he was going to act as the distraction while everyone else escaped. Goemon suggests to just have everyone stick together until the end of the festival, which Picero stubbornly goes along with.

Outside Picero's castle, the refugees continue to battle it out with Kerori's beasts to keep them from breaking in. Kamui watches over the battle, and grabs a loudspeaker ready to do his part. The story flashes back to his special tutor training with Mister Hat where said tutor points out how despite Kamui having weaker summoning abilities than Kerori, he still has his unique gentleman quality. Thus, given that he, himself, is a gentleman, Mister Hat orders Kamui to try to beat him with words. Mister Hat starts roasting Kamui like crazy telling him of all his pupil's bad qualities, which a struggling Kamui tries to talk back. The training being that Kamui must get a handle on the weapon of a gentleman: eloquence. Back in the present, Kamui yells a motivational speech into the loudspeaker for all of Kerori's beasts to hear. The beasts all begin to fight more powerful and ferocious for the sake of Queen Kerori, which shows that Kamui has been trained to use his words to boost the strength and morale of his allies.

To counter Kamui's buffed up beasts, Goemon finally steps in to fight with his wind blade. The story flashes back to his special tutor training with Vepar. The training being that Goemon shouldn't just be viewing the wind as just a tool, but as a living element that he can call upon for aid and get along with. In the present, Goemon does that by calling upon the wind, which he's shown to have learned new wind blade techniques, such as pulling off a wind slice that strikes all the surrounding beasts, but also doesn't hit any of the refugees. The sight of the girl refugees showing their gratitude to Goemon pisses off Kamui to the point of calling in the Beast Empire's trump card: 3 subjegated Boss Class Patched Cow beasts, who desire revenge for the Patched Cow that the Picero/Goemon faction killed. With Kamui and Goemon acting as their respective leaders, the intense battle between the beasts and castle refugees resumes. Meanwhile, Iruma and Lied have arrived at the castle, and are stunned in disbelief by what they're witnessing.

Chapter 131: Prisoners of Charm

Kamui orders the subjegated Patched Cows to attack the castle walls, but are unable to break in due to the castle being reinforced by Picero's My Area ground manipulation magic. Along with Goemon's forces guarding the gate, the defense remains strong. However, a male refugee appears before Picero to inform him that they suddenly lost as many as 6 defenders to an erotic enemy that keeps charming the guys, which Picero already gets the idea who it is. Outside the castle, Elizabetta is seen loosening her suit's breast zipper in order to release up to 60% of her love gauge ability, which seduces more of the surrounding men. As part of her training, Elizabetta's body suit was specially made to control the amount of seductive love scent she gives off depending on how much she opens and closes said zipper.

Within the castle, the male refugee continues to tell the seduction story of how Elizabetta got the men to drop their weapons, and were led away from the castle still within their seduced state, which the girls are left unamused by how dumb men are. They discuss if rescuing the boys is worth it, but Picero informs them that they can't afford it, and that he doesn't believe that anything bad will happen to the boys anyway. Sure enough, Elizabetta simply locks them in a cage set up at the area of Kerori's Beast Empire. Elizabetta remains worried about Clara running off on her own to do a scouting mission while also thinking about her special tutor training with teacher Raim. She remembers Raim's words warning her to not overuse her seduction magic between the user and the victim as they both will go out of control.

Curious as to what will happen, Elizabetta's about to test out overusing her seduction on one of the students she just imprisoned, but is stopped by Iruma and Lied having finally found her. Lied is the first to speak desperate to know what she thinks of him, which she answers that she likes him, much to Lied's thankful excitement. Iruma then informs Elizabetta about the stolen "Pot of Ending," which she answers she knows nothing about it. Thus, confirming to Iruma and Lied that the Elizabetta who rejected Lied was indeed an illusion. Suddenly, Nafra pops in, and performs a game of charades to try to inform them that it witnessed Orobas take the Pot. However, none of them can understand Nafra's movements and language.

Elizabetta gets an idea knowing that they have a translator, and calls upon Kamui to translate, which he happily does so given that he can't deny a woman's request. Listening to Nafra's story, Kamui relays the information to the group that the culprit is Orobas, and that he's been using illusion magic to specifically attack the Abnormal students, which shocks everyone. Kamui quickly leaves to inform Queen Kerori of this while a worried Elizabetta informs Iruma and company that Clara might be in danger. Out in the wilderness, Clara is off on her own hyped up to gather points, and hunt whatever beast she comes across. On a tree branch above her, Orobas is seen having marked Clara as the next target.

Chapter 132: Agitated Heart

A narration is provided regarding the Cult of Numeral 2, a secret society of demons that worship the number 2. The cult supposedly hides within the darkness of the underworld, but they exist only in rumor due to there being no evidence of their existence. The story then flashes back to after the Babyls entrance exam where Orobas Koko is seen looking at his test results; having scored 2nd place overall. Due to Orobas being someone who's apparently been achieving 2nd place in everything, the rumor amongst the students is that Orobas has been doing it on purpose, and that his Koko Family are actually all members of the Cult of Numeral 2. However, that turns out to not be the case as a disappointed Orobas actually wanted to achieve first place. That he's a genuinely nice guy, and that all the times he keeps scoring 2nd place has just been a coincidence. He becomes irritated due to the rumors about his family being a part of a creepy cult when in actuality, the Koko Family is a straight-forward and honest family.

Orobas ends up feeling jealous towards Iruma and the rest of the Abnormal Class due to their achievements and rapidly growing notoriety. As a result, Orobas comes to the decision that he's not good enough, and begins to study and train hard with his goal being to win the Harvest Festival. Orobas thinks about his Trauma magic, and how it's a terrifying mind control spell that will make one endlessly suffer if the victim doesn't have a strong will. However, he decides to not rely on Trauma for the Harvest Festival in order to prove that he can win fair-and-square, which he believes will clear up the misunderstandings about him. In the present, Orobas is seen thinking back to his desire of playing fair-and-square, and questions why he's making the misfits, such as Jazz and Iruma, experience his Trauma magic when he's already decided he wasn't going to use it. As it turns out, his partner, Ocho, is revealed to be using some sort of magic to control him, and assures Orobas that what he's doing isn't wrong as all the misfits are enemies, which causes Orobas to fall back in line.

Seeing Clara wandering alone in the jungle, Ocho points to her claiming that she's another misfit in the way of his partner becoming the Young King. Clara is then hit by Orobas' Trauma magic, which causes her to see an illusion of Iruma. She's excited to suddenly see Iruma before her, but the Iruma illusion orders Clara to give him some juice. The order comes as a shock to Clara as it reminds her of how her fellow students only ever talked with her for the stuff she makes them. The Iruma illusion continues to look down on her claiming that he and the other misfits have had enough of her, and that they're just interested in her ability. Clara breaks out into tears unable to handle what she's hearing as the Iruma illusion is about to say the final blow that no one will ever play with Clara if she doesn't offer them anything. However, the illusion's struck mid-sentence by a black arrow and disappears. Clara looks to a nearby cliff, and sees the real Iruma with his black bow calling out to her, much to her relief.

Chapter 133: An Archer's Value

The story flashes back to the moment that Ocho influences Orobas into marking Clara as his next Trauma victim, which Lied from far away overhears it through his Controller ability. Lied informs the rest of the group that he's located Clara, but also the bad news that Orobas is right behind her. Iruma makes it clear that they need to save her, but Lied finds that impossible when they're so far away from Clara's location. Suddenly, Kerori returns to her jungle fortress, which she overheard the trouble that Clara's in. She offers to lend Iruma her two primary guards (her Blizzard Wolf and Snow King Fox familiars) as mounts in order for Iruma and Lied to reach Clara in time, which they accept. After Iruma and Lied depart on her familiars, Kerori smugly thinks over how she now has the two of them in her debt, but also thinks about Iruma, and how he's way too soft-hearted.

While riding Kerori's Blizzard Wolf and Snow King Fox familiars, Lied continues to use what remains of his mana to listen for Clara's location through Controller. Iruma and Lied make their way up to a high location overlooking the Harvest Festival jungle, which Lied's able to spot Clara in the distance in front of a plant monster that's being controlled to act as the illusion for Orobas' Trauma magic. Lied remains unconvinced that they will make it over to her in time as many thoughts go through Iruma's mind about what could go wrong as he only has one feather left to create his black bow. However, Iruma remembers back to Bachiko's words that as an archer, he needs to make up his mind when it matters most. Dropping all thought other then wanting to save Clara, Iruma makes his final black bow, and fires an arrow that zooms across the jungle; destroying the plant creature acting as Clara's Trauma illusion. Once Iruma reunites with Clara, she races over to him relieved and sobbing happy tears that the normal Iruma is nothing like the illusion.

Still being influenced by Ocho's control magic, an enraged Orobas appears in front of them finding it unforgivable that Iruma is once more getting in the way. Orobas starts ranting that he should be the Young King, and that he must eliminate the misfits because the Abnormal Class is a hindrance. He yells at Iruma and Clara that he doesn't care about the Harvest Festival anymore, and will instead drown the two of them into their deepest nightmare that will go on forever. However, he's suddenly greeted by an enraged Azz, who blasts Orobas back with his fire magic. Standing in front of Iruma and Clara to protect them, Azz warns Orobas not to land a finger on his friends.

Chapter 134: Entrusted Feelings

Due to Azz blasting Orobas with his fire magic, the announcement is made that the former's been disqualified from the Harvest Festival, much to the shock of Iruma and Clara. Orobas gloats over Azz's failure for forgetting the rule to not attack other players, and that he's ruined his chance to win, but Azz isn't phased as he proceeds to blast Orobas once more with his fire magic. Azz replies back to Orobas now lying injured on the ground that he regrets nothing as his only desire is to become Iruma's spear. Getting up close, Azz threatens the injured Orobas that if he lays even one finger on Iruma, or anyone else from the Abnormal Class, he will fly over from the spectator tent, and burn off Orobas' head. The announcer demon once more orders the disqualified Azz to get moving, but is held back by a thankful Iruma and Clara not wanting him to go. However, Azz is perfectly satisfied with the result as along with already being at Rank 4 (Daleth) anyway, he's believing and entrusting his feelings to Iruma as the only one worthy of claiming the Young King's crown.

Before leaving, Azz asks for the 3 of them to celebrate at his house once the festival ends, which Iruma and Clara happily agree to. After Azz departs, Lied and Nafra come out of hiding, which Lied cries his eyes out having witnessed the close bond that Iruma, Clara, and Azz share. Lied then gets back to the task at hand to get the "Pot of Ending" back from Orobas only to realize that the latter has disappeared. In another part of the festival jungle, Ocho is seen carrying an injured Orobas with him claiming that the latter will indeed win the Harvest Festival, especially since they already turned in the "Pot of Ending" at teacher "March's" jungle Report Counter. Orobas remains unconvinced that he can win given the injured state he's now in, but Ocho surprises him by bringing Orobas to a hidden stash of food ingredients that Ocho was gathering in secret. Orobas doesn't understand why Ocho is handing over the ingredients that he worked so hard to obtain for himself, which Ocho answers that he doesn't mind since supporting Orobas means the others can't win.

Back over to Iruma's group, Lied falls into despair pointing out the problem that since someone saved Orobas while they weren't watching, they've lost the Harvest Festival since there's no way to obtain the Legendary Leaf anymore. He's also out of mana at this point to search for Orobas through his Controller ability. However, Iruma doesn't fall into despair, and states that they should just keep moving since a lot of people helped their journey, and entrusted their feelings in them. As Iruma tries to start walking, his injured leg starts to act up again, and he falls over. Lied once more deems it impossible given Iruma's injury, but Iruma refuses to back down due to how frustrating this all is. Suddenly, teacher "March" appears agreeing with Iruma's statement, which surprises everyone.

Iruma and company make it clear that they're not withdrawing, which "March" once more states that he agrees with how frustrating this situation is. "March" explains that the frustration led him and his partner to come up with a plan. That it's easy to deceive those who believe they've already won. A flashback is seen of Jazz watching the televised festival from the spectator tent, and relaying information he sees to "March," such as the need to inform Azz about the danger that Iruma and Clara were in regarding Orobas, which caused a worried Azz to race off to Iruma's location. Taking off his "March" mask to reveal himself as Schnedier to the shocked Iruma and Lied, Schnedier claims that it's the cunning ones who will win in the end by tricking the ones who originally tricked you to begin with. Schneider says this while holding the "Pot of Ending" having successfully stolen it away from the Orobas/Ocho pair. Meanwhile, Jazz and the rest of the withdrawn students all celebrate at the spectator's tent having witnessed the plan's success.

Chapter 135: The End of the Harvest Festival

The story flashes back to moments after Jazz's disqualification. On the way out of the jungle, Jazz apologizes to his partner for his failure, but Schneider sees this as an advantage regarding the place they're heading, which they arrive at the spectator tent for the Harvest Festival dropouts. Schneider smugly points out that there's no rule stating that players who are still active, such as himself, can't hang out at the spectator tent, and that with this, they can look at the entire forest from here. In return, Jazz smiles getting the gist of what his partner is referring to since no one knows that the two of them have teamed up. Going around the tent, Jazz and Schneider gather information from the other dropouts to develop a new strategy. Their goal being to get back at Orobas, the guy who tricked them, which they keep track of his location using the tent's television. Once their strategy is ready, Schneider returns to the Harvest Festival jungle disguised as "March" to put their plan into action; leading up to the moment that they successfully stole the "Pot of Ending" away from Orobas.

In the present, Schneider stands before the Iruma/Pair with the "Pot of Ending." However, Schneider happily hands the Pot over to them with no strings attached, much to the surprise of Iruma and Lied. Schnedier explains that there's no point to him having the Pot since the Harvest Festival is about to end, and that him winning would mean that he would be winning without Jazz, which is something he doesn't want. Thus, he asks Iruma to use the Pot to make it clear that this is an overall win for the Abnormal Class. Meanwhile back at the spectator tent, the Student Council has had enough of Jazz's antics, and confront him, which annoys Jazz since he technically hasn't broken any rules. However, Ameri thinks to herself how smart it was that someone was intelligent enough amongst the misfits to use the dropout tent to their advantage. Admitting that the Abnormal Class has shown the most growth amongst the 1st-years, Ameri believes that it wouldn't be all that surprising if it turns out that one of the misfits wins the festival.

Meanwhile within the festival jungle, Sabro and the Dorodoro Brothers are still trying to locate any last minute food beasts, but Sabro ends up falling unconscious due to exhaustion; ending his harvest at 45,500 points. Elsewhere, the war between the castle refugees and the beasts results in a stalemate, which Kerori finally calls off the attack. The beasts offer to turn themselves in as points for Kerori, but she rejects it since a win wouldn't matter if her followers aren't there with her; ending her harvest at 36,800 points. Crying at the sight of Kerori's heartfelt moment with the beasts is Kamui and Elizabetta, who end their harvests at 22,500 points and 20,700 points respectively. As for the castle, the refugees thank the Picero/Goemon pair for protecting them, and choose to hand over all their ingredients to them as thanks for a great time. As a result, Picero and Goemon split the ingredients to end their harvests at 32,300 points each. Finally, Iruma and Lied are seen opposite one another holding their respective "Seed of Beginning" and "Pot of Ending" ready to bloom the Legendary Leaf.

Chapter 136: The Legendary Leaf

Teacher Suzy provides a last minute announcement about how points will be determined at the end of the festival while also providing the students a warning that Shichiro will be sure to make sure that no one tries to lie about trying to get extra points after time has run out. Meanwhile, Iruma and Lied remain silent due to the "Seed of Beginning" not doing anything after being put in the "Pot of Ending." Iruma remains lost in thought wondering why the Legendary Leaf hasn't sprouted, which Lied comes up with a theory that since the Harvest Festival jungle was created by teacher Suzy, and that the festival itself is a culimation of everything they learned within their first year, it probably has something to do with Suzy's teachings. The result is the two of them thinking back to their first session with Suzy where they sprouted plants up with their magic.

Lied is the first to try by yelling the "Quan Quan" magic chant at the Seed just like he learned back in Suzy's first class, but nothing happens. He begins to freak out believing that his theory was wrong only for Nafra to pop in, and pours water onto the Seed. The "Seed of Beginning" starts to glow, which shows that Nafra's theory was right that the Seed needed water first before trying the next step. This time around, Iruma and Lied both chant "Quan Quan" at he same time, but the Seed gets stuck jumping in and out of trying to bud due to the two of them not having enough magic power. Needing more magic, Iruma is about to activate his ring's 2nd highest Ifrit Mode, but Ali whispers to him not to as he's already completely spent, and is worried that he could vanish if Iruma tries to use Ifrit Mode while he's completely drained of mana. Iruma figures the only option left is to find someone who still has mana, which Clara chimes in asking if he's okay. The sight of Clara comes as a surprise to Ali as he can feel the massive amount of magic still stored up within her. This is due to the fact that Clara's "Bakkun" suit absorbed all the mana of any ingredient beast she came across to play with.

Ali orders Iruma to grab hold of Clara, which he does so asking her to lend him her strength. He offers out his hand to her, and Clara happily accepts. Iruma and Lied once more perform the "Quan Quan" chant at the Seed, which thanks to the mana from Clara, they finally have enough magic power to get it to sprout. Smoke appears out of the Seed and overtakes Iruma, which a brief appearance of Demon King Delkira appears asking if Iruma's "the one" before disappearing. No one else catches on that Iruma just had an encounter with the Demon King as he and Lied look upon the sprouted "Seed of Beginning." However, the Seed sprouted as just a small oddly shaped demon head on top of a tiny plant stem, which confuses Iruma and Lied. Moments after, the timer for the festival runs out. Teacher Suzy provides the announcement that the Harvest Festival is now offically over, much to Iruma and Lied's shock believing that they failed.

Chapter 137: The Winner

The students all assemble back at the Harvest Festival's starting point. While teacher Shichiro inspects any last second ingredients, teachers Suzy and Dali are about to announce the winner. Meanwhile, most of the Abnormal Students have all reunited. Along with Azz and Jazz being the only ones who ended up being disqualified, and Sabro (45,500), Elizabetta (20,700), Picero (32,300), Goemon (32,300), Kerori (36,800), and Kamui (25,500) having no change to their end point totals, Schneider is shown to have ended his harvest at 12,800 points as he stopped gathering ingredients once Jazz dropped out of the competition. They all remain waiting for Iruma and Lied's return, which they eventually appear alongside Clara and Nafra with the Pot housing the sprouted Legendary Leaf worth 100,000 points. Of course, everyone is confused by the sight due to the oddly shaped Legendary Leaf looking nothing like they imagined.

Shichiro and Suzy get excited at the sight of the Legendary Leaf having only ever seen it in books, and confirm that it is indeed the real thing, much to Iruma and Lied's excitement that they achieved their goal. Given that Clara and Nafra helped out, Dali points out the problem as to how they will split the 100,000 points, but Clara and Nafra quickly answer that they don't need any. The result is Iruma and Lied being awarded 50,000 points each, which looks to be enough for them to tie in 1st place. However, Dali provides the bad news that there actually was someone who scored higher than them: Orobas at 58,000 points. Raising Orobas' hand in victory, Dali and Suzy announce that he's the winner of the Harvest Festival, much to everyone's shock. Orobas looks at the scoreboard unable to believe that he finally achieved 1st place. However, he remains conflicted with himself because he didn't play fair-and-square like he wanted. Meanwhile, Iruma struggles to accept the result as he realizes that he now knows what it feels like to be disappointed at failing to win something that he wanted so badly.

Suddenly, Jazz raises his hand to object to the results as he noticed a mistake regarding point evaluation, much to Dali and Suzy's confusion. Jazz points out the error that the teachers announced during the competition that turning in the "Pot of Ending" is worth 20,000 points, which shocks everyone when they realize that what Jazz said is the truth. Suzy and Dali panic over the embarrassment of glossing over such a detail, and quickly fix the results by giving Iruma and Lied an additional 10,000 points each. The result is Iruma and Lied retaking the #1 spot tied at 60,000 points, which everyone cheers in excitement at their victory. Meanwhile, Orobas seeing himself in 3rd place leaves him feeling relieved that he didn't end up in 2nd place for once. Orobas also realizes that the reason he feels jealous and envious of the Abnormal Class is because deep down, he actually respects them for what they've achieved so far. He watches as Iruma and Lied go about celebrating as the victors of the Harvest Festival.

Chapter 138: Conditions to Bloom

Orobas apologizes to Iruma and company for his actions. That he was so obsessed with victory that he let it cloud his mind. However, Iruma and Lied are fine with it, which Iruma explains that not only is Orobas' illusion magic amazing, he was giving it his all just like them. Lied also notes that Orobas didn't technically break any rules, and that it was fun watching Jazz's team get back at him anyway. The rest of the students all begin to gather around Orobas to praise him for his efforts, much to his surprise. Even to the point of completely glossing over the rumor about him being part of the Cult of Numeral 2 as if it never happened, which leaves him happy that the other students finally see him as a good person. At that same time, Ameri approaches Iruma to praise him for going beyond her expectations like usual. Nafra then pops in, and Ameri praises it for a job well done, which surprises Iruma that Ameri seems to know Nafra. In return, Ameri reveals that the first-year, Nafra Ampsey, is actually the newest member of the Student Council that she recently scouted.

The revelation comes as a shock to Iruma and Lied, which Suzy explains that Nafra was actually set up as secret character for the Harvest Festival. That needing to save Nafra from the Gripping Weed was part of the quest to obtain the Legendary Leaf as the Rainbow Watering Can in Nafra's possession was needed to make the "Seed of Beginning" grow. Suddenly, the sprouted Legendary Leaf begins to speak congratulating Iruma and Lied for their efforts, much to everyone's shock. The Legendary Leaf goes over the steps that were required to complete its quest, which basically amounted to it needing to be someone who was the least demon-like demon, such as Iruma showing compassion to save Nafra, and the odd way he obtained the "Seed of Beginning" from the genie without fighting. Iruma remembers the brief meeting he had with Demon King Delkira, but the Legendary Leaf instead has its focus on the sky. As a finale to celebrate the birth of the two new Young Kings, the Legendary Leaf explodes over the Harvest Festival, and turns itself into a bunch of pink trees.

Everyone watches the pink leaf petals float about, which Iruma and Lied quickly realize that they've experienced this before: the massive Sakura Tree that Iruma sprouted up in Suzy's class. Moments after, Sullivan comes charging in to hug Iruma; crying tears of joy over his grandson winning the Harvest Festival. Looking at the forest of Sakura Trees that sprouted from the Legendary Leaf, Sullivan figures that this is the Harvest Festival maker's way of showing something he wanted everyone to see (implied heavily to be Demon King Delkira). Before Iruma could explain what it is, Sullivan ignores it calling the pink trees the perfect scenery. Sullivan then asks for Iruma and Lied to line up, which after they do, he casts his magic upon them. The result is Iruma and Lied now wearing king attire along with a pair of king crowns. Grabbing a microphone, Sullivan announces that it's time to move on to the award ceremony for rank promotions.

Chapter 139: Praise

Upon taking the stage, Sullivan announces that the Harvest Festival's Award Ceremony will now begin. The festival's two Young Kings, Iruma and Lied, are the first to step forward. Sullivan praises their efforts for managing to harvest 100,000 points and for getting the Legendary Leaf to bloom. As a result, he awards Iruma and Lied with rank-ups to Rank 4 (Daleth). Kalego then takes over to announce that Orobas has been awarded a rank-up to Rank 3 (Gimmel) based on getting as high as 3rd place on the scoreboard. However, Kalego also asks for Orobas to come see him later to discuss something, which Orobas agrees to. Kalego continues on by announcing that Sabro will receive a rank-up to Rank 3 (Gimmel) given that he achieved 4th place. He also adds that Azz's rank-up will be held up due to disqualification, but Azz doesn't care as he's shining in excitement over the fact that Iruma is now the same ranking as him. Kalego also adds that the Dorodoro Brothers will both get double rank promotions up to Rank 3 (Gimmel) given that they tied for 5th place.

Taking the microphone from Kalego, teacher Dali announces the next rank-ups. He praises Picero and Goemon for their efforts at rescuing many students, and for making an incredible stronghold that caused this year's Harvest Festival to have the fewest ever dropouts. As a result, they both receive a rank-up to Rank 3 (Gimmel). Teacher Suzy is the next to speak by praising the efforts of Kerori and Kamui as the two of them went about establishing an animal kingdom within the festival, and displayed magnificent charisma and leadership. As a result, they both also receive a rank-up to Rank 3 (Gimmel). Elizabetta also receives a rank-up to Rank 2 (Bet) for displaying her seduction abilities during her team up with the animal kingdom. With all the rank-ups now handed out, Sullivan announces that the Harvest Festival has now officially come to a close.

Following the festival, the Abnormal Class all reunites and celebrate their efforts. The special tutors also join in to celebrate with their pupils. Teacher Ram happily celebrates with Elizabetta and Clara while Shichiro takes Sabro and Azz off to the side to scold them for already using the Wicked Phase trump card. Meanwhile, Vepar cries tears of joy over Picero and Goemon's efforts while Mister Hat sets up a dessert table for him, Kamui and Kerori to celebrate. Finally, Furfur finds it hilarious that Jazz and Schneider failed at receiving a rank-up, and goes back to toying with them some more, much to their annoyance. Meanwhile, Iruma and Lied are left on their own. Lied calls around for teacher Robin wondering why his master's not celebrating with him, and Iruma ends up getting jumped on by an angry Bachiko; scolding him for wasting so many points early on by eating all the ingredients. However, Bachiko goes back to smiling, and proudly states that despite Iruma being a stupid disciple, he did great. The result is Iruma providing Bachiko a piggy-back ride as they go about celebrating his victory.

Chapter 140: Welcome Home

The 1st-year students all gather at the Babyls auditorium for the Harvest Festival afterparty, which is a casual social gathering being run by Ameri and the Student Council. Here, the students go about admiring each other's efforts in the festival while offering words of gratitude. Amongst the students, the Dorodoro Brothers are seen learning the shocking news about the Shichiro/Furfur mix-up regarding Azz and Sabro's actual master. Meanwhile, Iruma and Lied take their seats on the Young King thrones set up in the auditorium. Though due to Iruma's loneliness, they all become confused as to why Azz and Clara are locked arms with him while he sits on the throne. As for Lied, Jazz takes the time to toy with him while also keeping away from the Dorodoro Brothers since the latter now knows that Jazz and Schneider are the real pupils of Furfur.

Sabro arrives before Iruma as well to keep away from the Dorodoro Brothers, which a hiding Kerori is seen behind him. Since Kerori's "Queen" persona has sobered up back to normal following the end of the Harvest Festival, she remains in hiding from Kamui and her other fans that she built up while ruling over the festival animal kingdom. Meanwhile, many male students are seen trying to please Elizabetta with gifts, which annoys Picero given her seductive actions against his castle during the festival. From the sideline, Kalego and Shichiro watch the Abnormal Students all socializing. Shichiro points out how Kalego's not doing what he usually does by staying silent instead of ordering his students to calm down, which Kalego answers that he will let it slide for once since his students took things seriously by challenging themselves in order to show the results of their training. Iruma then summon's Kalego into familiar form, much to his annoyance, which they all continue to have fun with familiar Kalego for the rest of the party.

After the party, Iruma heads home on his own, which he looks to the sky wondering if having fun with everyone is always going to be the case within the demon world. His thoughts are interrupted as Opera appears to take Iruma home. Once they're back home, Sullivan appears ready to throw another party to celebrate Iruma's victory, but after Opera calls on him to stay focused, Sullivan remembers that the two of them have to say something to Iruma first. Holding out their hands to hold Iruma's, Sullivan and Opera praise him for doing a good job for the Harvest Festival. They welcome Iruma home after he spent 4 days within the jungle festival, which Iruma happily announces in return that he's home.

Chapter 141: Dear Friends,

Keeping to the promise made during the Harvest Festival, Iruma and Clara arrive at Azz's home for a private celebration party between the 3 of them. Iruma arrives with a gift while Clara's gift is a lot more crazy where she uses her Summon magic to change up the rooms of Azz's home. However, Azz doesn't mind it, and taunts Clara due to being in a good mood now that he shares the same Rank 4 (Daleth) ranking with Iruma compared to when he was the jealous odd one out of the trio when Iruma and Clara were both at Rank 3 (Gimmel). However, Clara counters back that she got to play with a "tiny Iruma" during the festival, which annoys Azz wanting to know what she means by that. As time goes on, the 3 of them enjoy Azz's party eating cake and playing games until it reaches a point that Iruma has to leave to go to the bathroom.

On his way to the bathroom, Iruma thinks over how he's been keeping a huge secret from his precious demon friends, and remains worried wondering if they will come to reject him should he reveal that he's human. Suddenly, Iruma is jumped by Azz's mother, Amaryllis, as she cries out that her son was hiding this party from her. She claims that while at another party, she got the feeling that Azz invited Iruma over, and that she had to come home immediately to see. Amaryllis also points out how she overheard Iruma talking to himself about something he needs to tell Azz and Clara, which causes the two of them to speak privately in another room. Iruma doesn't hide that he's been keeping a secret from Azz, which Amaryllis assures him that it's okay not to tell since there's no need to tell friends everything about them. She asks if keeping secrets will truly stop them from being friends, which leaves an impact on Iruma.

Moments after, Amaryllis returns Iruma to his friends. However, Azz is unable to handle his mother dressing Iruma up in women's clothing. A hyped up Amaryllis leaves to bring back more clothing, which Azz moves to stop her. However, Iruma calls for a moment with Azz and Clara as he has something to say to them. Iruma first thanks Azz for coming to his and Clara's aid, and was cool for protecting them, during the Harvest Festival. He then thanks Clara for going along with his favor when he asked her to lend him her strength in order to grow the Legendary Leaf. In the end, Iruma states that he's happy that he has the two of them as his friends, which Azz and Clara happily accept. The three of them go back to having fun while Iruma thinks to himself that he's fine with just stating his true feeling for now, and hopes that some day, he will be able to tell them his secret.

Chapter 142: Exposure

An injured Ocho is seen reporting back to his boss, who turns out to be the evil demon, Thunder Lord Baal. Ocho was sent to Babyls to spy on the first-years for any future demons that could Return to Origin, which he provides Baal his report that the students of the Abnormal Class have the biggest potential. After reading the report, Baal asks why Ocho returned in such a rough state. The story flashes back to the Harvest Festival moments after Ocho gave his secret stash of food ingredients to Orobas, and went off on his own. Ocho excitedly thinks over how he now has all the info he needed while also thinking about how after easily breaking into the festival, he made sure to alter Orobas' memories with his magic to erase all traces of Ocho being with him. Ocho then feels ecstatic over the fact that supporting a false #1 made him truly feel like a #2. Thus, revealing that Ocho is a member of the Cult of Numeral 2. Ocho figures that it's about time for him to head back to Baal, but his thoughts are interrupted due to him suddenly getting struck through the chest by a magic arrow.

From a distance, teacher Robin is seen having struck the target with his Bullseye Shot archery magic. Kalego is seen at a nearby tent keeping track of the target, and orders for Robin to keep firing. Meanwhile, the injured Ocho remains confused as to how he was discovered when he's got the strongest anti-detection magic cast on him. Kalego discusses to himself that they noticed an oddity through Shichiro's Buzzer magic regarding an invader within the Harvest Festival, and that after several days, they finally found the location of said invader. Once more, Robin continues to fire his arrows down upon Ocho, which the latter only barely managed to escape with his life. Back in the present, an enraged Ocho complains that he will get back at the Babyls dogs for the poor state they left him in, but Baal steps on Ocho to silence his whining. Baal then asks about Iruma, which Ocho hands over the recording he planted on the boy when he was suffering from Orobas' Trauma magic. Ocho points out that Iruma had quite a desperate face at the time, which catches the attention of another nearby evil demon: Ami Kirio.

Kirio becomes enraged that Ocho is taking the sight of seeing Iruma in despair away from him, which Ocho makes it clear that his only job is to provide Baal the report. Suddenly, the moment that Iruma mentioned that "he's a human" while under the Trauma magic is heard on the recorder, which stops Kirio in his tracks asking Baal what that means. Baal realizes that the suspicion he had was correct that Sullivan illegally entered the human world, and returned with Iruma. Thus, making this situation really interesting. Meanwhile, Kirio has begun to drool from the mouth in hunger over the revelation that Iruma's a human. He thinks over Iruma's claim of not falling into despair, and wonders if perhaps Iruma won't be able to handle it if Kirio goes for eating him. Feeling ecstatic, Kirio once more wants to see Iruma's desperate face. Standing up to make an announcement, the Thunder Lord states to Kirio and Ocho that the underworld's peaceful days will soon be over, and that the weak will be eaten. He gives the order to begin the exciting hunt.
