iGot a Hot Room is the 1st episode in the 4th season of iCarly.
Spencer attempts to surprise Carly on her birthday, but the gift he makes her causes a fire and winds up giving her a charred bedroom. When the reinvestment from a single trinket gives them a huge amount of cash, Spencer rounds up Sam, Freddie, and Gibby to give Carly the ultimate surprise.

- T-Bo somehow managed to put hardshell tacos on a stick, despite Carly attempting to do so and failing because said taco broke immediately.
- Despite Gibby's grandfather being blind and showing signs of senility, he gives Spencer a great haircut.
- Acquainted with Emergency Services: When Spencer introduces himself to the fire department chief, he replies, "Yeah, we know who you are."
- Big "WHAT?!": Spencer gives a couple of huge ones in this episode. The first one is about Carly screaming her room is on fire. The second happens when he hears that the insurance on a watch Carly had lost in the blaze gave them a huge windfall.
- Bilingual Bonus: Sam says, "I suggest you tell Carly 'happy birthday', or I'll break your legs" in Italian to a foreign exchange student. She justifies her knowing Italian by the fact that Pam really likes Italian men.
- Birthday Episode: For Carly.
- Dangerous 16th Birthday: Since Carly said she was 15 back in "iFind Lewbert's Lost Love", she turns 16 this episode; that doesn't mean she will have a good one at first due to Spencer accidentally burning down her room.
- Double-Meaning Title: The title refers to Carly getting a hot new room and the fact Spencer's gummy bear lamp literally gives her a hot room.
- Epic Fail: Played for Drama. Spencer wanted to surprise Carly by making her a table lamp out of gummy bears; it ends up catching on fire and leaving her room in flames.
- Get Out!: After Freddie tells Spencer he just got a text from Carly saying she's coming up the building, Spencer yells for everyone who helped rebuild Carly's room to leave before she gets back.
- Here We Go Again!: Carly's new room contains another gummy bear trinket, this time a chandelier. Fortunately, Spencer made the bears fire retardant.
- Important Haircut: Spencer gets a shorter hairdo from Gibby's grandfather halfway through the episode.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Spencer's gummy bear lamp ends up causing Carly's room to catch on fire.
- Noodle Incident: It is said that a goat did something embarrassing to Carly at the petting zoo. However, the viewer (and everyone but Spencer) never learn what the goat did because Carly kept interrupting.
- Series Continuity Error: According to side material (and later "IM Cursed"), Carly's birthday is on July 24th. However, this episode depicts her in school. Most American public schools let out for summer vacation in late May or early-to-mid June and don't resume until August. This is partially due to a retcon, as Carly's birthday was previously on January 14th (as listed on iCarly.com) and the date was later changed to take place closer to the airdate of "iGot a Hot Room".
- Spoiler Title: Guess what Carly gets in the end.
- Trailers Always Spoil: Crossed with Spoiler Title, the trailers spoil Carly's friends presenting her new room.
- Trash the Set: In a rare inversion of this trope, this is the first appearance of Carly's bedroom in-series, and it was already burnt down by the time it was revealed.
