iCarly Awards is the 4th episode in the 3rd season of iCarly.
Carly, Sam and Freddie hold a special iCarly award show, presenting awards to viewers for special talents.
Meanwhile, Spencer hires male swimsuit models to make the award statuettes when he doesn't make enough for the nominees.
Tropes:
- Bound and Gagged: This is how Spencer disposes of the photographer wanting to take photos of the swimsuit models, by duct taping him in the hallway and falsely claiming to the models that he allowed Spencer to let them continue making iCarly awards. And later, the man was somehow able to get free and angrily chases Spencer during the end of the episode.
- Buffy Speak: "Best Skydiving Through A Wind Tunnel Thingy."
- The Bus Came Back: Simon, the boy from the first episode who squirted milk out of his eye, appears again to accept his award.
- Call-Back:
- To the first episode where Simon appears for the first time since then.
- At the beginning of the episode, Carly is seen wearing the same bathrobe she wore in "iMight Switch Schools".
- Epic Fail: Instead of making 10 1-foot tall iCarly awards as the iCarlys tell Spencer to do, he instead made 1 10-foot tall iCarly award.
- Exact Words: Lampshaded. Spencer gets excited when Freddie mentions that there's a photo shoot for European swimsuit models, and he asks Freddie if they could help make the awards. When they arrive, Spencer finds out that they're men but Freddie defends himself by claiming that he didn't say they were hot or women.
- Jerkass Ball: Unusually, both Sam and Carly act this way when congratulating their winners of the awards. When they each try to make an acceptance speech, the girls cut them off very abruptly with forced applause and then tell them to leave. Possibly justified, as they were pressed for time during the show, not helped by one of the awards arriving late.
- Lame Pun Reaction: Before introducing an award for three teenagers with insane bottle blowing, Carly says that the video of them doing this will blow the viewers away. The reaction that Sam has is to cringe.
- Multipurpose Tongue: The final award was for "Most interesting yet frightening tongue of all time", which features a guy named Nick aka "Tongue Boy", who does rather disturbing tongue tricks.
- Potty Emergency: At one point during the webcast, Sam leaves to go pee, forcing Freddie to cover for her while she’s gone.
- Running Gag: The awards getting messed up, Spencer complaining about the models, and the models dancing to rave music.
- Say My Name: Spencer yells out Freddie's name twice in fury when he summons him to reveal not only the swimsuit models were hot, they were male.
- Take That!: The nominees not even getting the chance to give their speeches is a jab at award shows giving time limits for speeches.
- Writers Cannot Do Math: Spencer was supposed to make ten statuettes, meaning there are ten awards given out, but during the show, only nine awards were given out.
