Act 1: Kansas City Shuffle
While watching a house in the distance, Joey Clair and her brother Jude Harley are attacked by monsters. While trying to escape them, Joey soon finds herself trapped in their attic, where she soon finds and actives a bizarre, snake-like gate. The gate soon pulls her in, and is then swapped with an alien from the planet Alternia.
Act 2: Dead Freight
After escaping the destruction of Xefros's neighborhood by the Heiress, the two soon reach a station, where Xefros explains they'll take a train to meet a friend of Dammek's to plan for the rebellion. Unfortunately, it's blown up by more of the Heiress's drones, and the duo find themselves by a river.
