Meet the new Grinch(es).
"Give until it hurts!"

Episode: 4.1 (Four on the Floor)

Airdate: October 30, 2006

Lifty and Shifty, disguised as Santa and his helper, climb down Flippy's chimney.

"Easy For You to Sleigh" contain examples of:

  • Asshole Victim: Since Lifty and Shifty spend the episode robbing others (and indirectly causing the deaths of Pop and Cub), it's hard to feel sorry for them when Fliqpy serves them their just desserts.
  • Brick Joke: Lifty and Shifty steal Mime's "safe", which is invisible to them. The final shot of the episode shows Mime freaking out when he realizes that his "safe" has been stolen.
  • Bullying a Dragon: Did Lifty and Shifty forget that Flippy can... well, flip-out?
  • Christmas Episode: Despite it releasing on October, it's still a Christmas episode.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death:
    • Shifty is stabbed and skinned by Fliqpy with a Christmas cookie.
    • Lifty is tricked by Fliqpy into jumping out a window where he lands in a baler, brutally shredding his body apart.
  • Deadly Gas: Pop and Cub die by carbon monoxide poisoning.
  • Downer Ending / Bittersweet Ending: Lifty and Shifty die when accidentally triggering Flippy's PTSD.
  • Evil Versus Evil: For a given value of evil, but the latter half of the episode pits the three characters in the show who tend to be take antagonistic roles, Lifty & Shifty and Fliqpy, against each other after the twins accidentally set Flippy off while trying to rob him.
  • Eye Scream: Fliqpy blows powdered glass into Shifty's eyes, blinding him and allowing Fliqpy to finish him off.
  • Furry Reminder: Flippy is seen sleeping during the winter. In real-life, bears hibernate during the winter (though this is debatable as he might have been taking a short nap, not sleeping through the whole winter).
  • Genuine Human Hide: After murdering Shifty, Fliqpy tears off his skin and wears it, posing as his victim. This allows him to trick Lifty into jumping out of the open window... straight into a working baler.
  • Gutted Like a Fish: Shifty is slashed at the torso with a Christmas tree cookie that Fliqpy uses as a Bowie knife.
  • How the Character Stole Christmas: The plot is about the raccoon brothers stealing Christmas gifts.
  • Improvised Weapon: Fliqpy blinds Shifty with a bauble — by crushing it in his palm and then blowing the shards straight into Shifty's eyes. Then he guts him like a fish, using a Christmas cookie as a knife.
  • Irony: Despite being a Christmas Episode, this episode was released during Halloween.
  • Karmic Death: Lifty and Shifty should've seen this coming from robbing Flippy, and when triggering Fliqpy, that's a certain death sentence.
  • Made of Plasticine: Shifty's death definitely qualifies, as he was cut open by a mere cookie!
  • Mind Screw: Mime's furniture in his house is either invisible or imaginary. The ending heavily implies the former.
  • Oh, Crap!:
    • Lifty and Shifty express this when Flippy wakes up.
    • Mime also expresses this when he finds out that his "safe" is stolen.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Cub, Pop, Lifty, and Shifty die in this episode.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: Flippy and Mime survive this episode.
  • Too Dumb to Live:
    • Out of all the people Lifty and Shifty robbed, Flippy is the last person they'd want to rob. Predictably, it ends badly for them.
    • Shifty initially seems to avert this by replacing a trinket laying on the table with a bag of sand, so he doesn't set off a bear trap while stealing the former. However, he plays this trope straight after all, when — for unfathomable reasons — he goes back to take a totally worthless bag as well, triggering the trap and losing an arm as a consequence.
  • Villain Episode: Those thieving raccoons are the stars for this episode.
  • Villain Protagonist: Lifty and Shifty.
  • Whole-Plot Reference: To How the Grinch Stole Christmas!.
  • Your Mime Makes It Real: Whether or not Mime's safe is real (heavily implied at the end though), Lifty and Shifty steal it anyway.
