Cat is staying at Wayne Manor while Gordon meets with Harvey Dent to hunt down the man who really killed the Waynes. Meanwhile, a genius bomb maker gets broken out of Blackgate custody.
Tropes:
- Boxed Crook: Of a different variety. Hargrave was kidnapped by crooks and forced to work for them.
- Crazy-Prepared: Along with the boxing, Bruce also trains himself by holding his breath. At the bottom of the swimming pool.
- Incredibly Obvious Bomb: The one Hargrave made for the Russians included a ticking clock. In a gift basket.
- The Mafiya: The men who broke Hargrave out speak with thick Russian (or at least Eastern European) accents.
- The Mole: Hargrave, genius bomb-maker though he is, isn't a killer and is an unwilling accomplice to the men who broke him out, so he does what he can to slip clues to the police in his bombs.
- Red Herring: On being brought out of the prison and placed in the transport van, Hargrove drops a book of matches into his hand. Then, instead of bombing his way out, a group of mysterious gunmen break him out.
- Shipped in Shackles: Hargave is shipped in shackles when he is being transported from Blackgate to St. Mark's Psychiatric Hospital.
