Even something mundane as unclogging a toilet can lead to a disastrous outcome.
Airdate: September 3, 2021"Crappy Flush" is the first episode of Gory Toons.
In this episode, SpongeBob SquarePants tries to unclog his toilet with a bleak expression. Suddenly, the toliet sucks in the plunger and tears off the skin of SpongeBob's arm as he tries to free himself. SpongeBob stumbles back and trips over a toy train, causing him to tumble onto the sink. The mirror opens and drops several items onto SpongeBob, injuring his face. As this happens, the plunger from earlier shoots out the toliet and impales SpongeBob in the skull.
"Crappy Flush" provides examples of:
- Bottle Episode: The episode takes entirely within SpongeBob's bathroom and features only one character.
- Brick Joke: The plunger that has gotten stuck in the toilet launches out of it to deliver it's last lethal blow at SpongeBob.
- Cruel and Unusual Death: SpongeBob has it awful within this episode. He gets his skin peeled off of his hand, head stabbed and bruised by many thin and sharp items, and then impaled through the head by his own plunger.
- Debut Queue: This episode introduces SpongeBob.
- Establishing Series Moment: For a first episode, it does a splendid job at establishing the show's nature of killing off cartoon characters in brutal and over-the-top ways in Happy Tree Friends fashion.
- Unexplained Recovery: Somehow, SpongeBob's hand is seen completely healed up not long after it was brutally skinned by the toilet.
- Mutilation Conga / Trauma Conga Line: SpongeBob goes through absolute hell all just because he had to unclog his toilet.
- Toilet Horror: SpongeBob is horrifically killed in the seemingly mundane task of unclogging his toilet.
- Toilet Humor: Played With. The episode isn't necessarily about poop jokes, but the description pokes fun at an anthropomorphic sponge unclogging a toilet with a plunger, the episode is aptly titled "Crappy Flush", and SpongeBob's demise is caused by the toilet of all things.
