Galactic Gamesman Garfield

Garfield is hooked on video games while Jon has appendicitis. As luck would have it, Garfield's addiction to video games saves Jon's life.

Sly Spy Guy

When Orson can't find his spy novel, he imagines that he is Double Oh Orson instead.

The Thing That Stayed...Forever!

Jon receives a call that his uncle Ed is coming. Shocked, he decides to think of an excuse only for Uncle Ed to let himself in. Ed assures them that he only plans to stay for a couple of days (with a huge number of suitcases). When lunch is served, Ed eats ALL the food, including the gravy. Garfield and Odie ask if they can rent a hotel until he leaves, but Jon reassures that he'll leave soon. Ed takes over Jon's bed, the television and the money, but Jon keeps reassuring Garfield he'll leave. Christmas passes by and Ed's still there. Jon finally snaps when Ed decides he want to stay for a few more months or years, and begs Garfield to rid of him.

First Garfield and Odie try to serve Ed a disgusting meal, but it fails as Ed loves it and wants to stay longer. They try to tamper with his hammock, but that also fails. Finally Garfield decides to ask Jon to make a phone call. Ed's wife Edna arrives, and is very upset that he left the house and disturbed Jon's life during the past months of the 'diet' that she gave him. Ed tries to come up with an excuse but he is dragged away by Edna. Jon thanks Garfield, but actually begins to miss Ed when he has to order everything in an Italian menu as Garfield's reward.

  • Fast-Forward Gag: When the singer is about to sing the Double Oh Orson theme song, Orson interrupts her to tell her that everyone's already heard it before, and asks her if they could just speed through it. The Singer then plays sped-up footage of the Double Oh Orson intro from "Cornfinger".

  • Always a Bigger Fish: If you thought Garfield was fat and lazy, think again.

  • Fat Bastard: When Uncle Ed comes to stay for a couple of days, he eats all the food, sleeps in Jon's bed, steals Jon's couch, and intends to go back on his word by staying at Jon's place for a few more weeks or years. And he doesn't even care that he's abusing Jon's kindness. Furthermore, the reason why he's staying at Jon's place is because his wife gave him a strict diet.
  • Here We Go Again!: As reward for getting rid of Uncle Ed, Garfield is allowed to eat anything he wants - and Jon realizes that he's still stuck feeding a gluttonous eater.
Jon: I think I was better off with Uncle Ed.
