Joey, Phoebe, and Monica try to find out who the father of Rachel's baby is, their only clue being a red sweater the guy left behind. In the end the sweater turns out to be Ross's, much to their shock. Meanwhile, Chandler seems to have lost the wedding pictures and scrambles to recreate them with Ross' help before Monica finds out.

- Delayed Reaction: When Ross picks up his sweater, Phoebe and Monica immediately figure out he's the father. Joey, however, sits there with a silly grin on his face for a few seconds before he realizes.
- Dresses the Same: During the end credits Ross and Tag run into each other while they're both wearing their red sweaters. Being men, they don't care that they're wearing the same item of clothing and even cheerfully compliment each other.
- Hollywood Gift Wrap: An aversion, that proves why this trope exists. Chandler and Monica's wedding gifts are wrapped in a realistic way, with paper over a sealed box. When Monica starts tearing into the gifts it causes a noticeable
continuity gaffe where a present goes from unwrapped to wrapped and back again during a section of dialogue. - Give the Baby a Father: Joey offers to marry Phoebe and help her raise her (fake) baby. Phoebe gets carried away and immediately accepts, forcing Monica to tell Joey the truth. When he learns it's Rachel who's pregnant Joey proposes to her too and demands his ring back from Phoebe.
- I Am One of Those, Too: When Ross tries to fake his toast, the guests think he's giving an actual toast. He tries to cover by announcing that someone's car is about to be towed. Then someone comes forward and says that it's his car, right down to the color that Ross describes.Ross: A '95 LeSabre?
Man: Yes!
Ross: A green LeSabre?
Man: Yes!
Ross: I'm sorry, I meant a blue LeSabre?
Man: Yes! Green-blue!

Ross: Well go! Go move it! - Makes Us Even: Chandler gets mad when he notices Monica opened their wedding presents without him, to which Monica replies that he kissed another woman (to recreate a wedding picture he thought was lost). They agree to call it even.
- No Matter How Much I Beg: Monica tells Joey to not let her open another present. After a pause, she asks to open one more and Joey gives it to her with no resistance.
- Noodle Incident: Rachel asks Joey how he'd react if he found out he'd gotten someone pregnant. Joey immediately demands to know who called her and acts very squirelly until Rachel clarifies that she was being hypothetical.
- Parallel Porn Titles: Joey rented a porn movie called Doctor Do Me a Little that gets charged to all the friends in a mix-up at the hotel.Joey: I was told the name of the movie would not appear on the bill!
- Red Herring: When Phoebe sees the red sweater the man who got Rachel pregnant left behind, she thinks it's Tag and arranges to have the two meet at Central Perk. However, Tag was already wearing his red sweater, which eliminates him as the father.
- "Shaggy Dog" Story: Chandler and Ross's plot turns out to be one. When it looks like they lost all the cameras that took pictures of the wedding, they end up spending the entire time attempting to fake new wedding pictures at another one, only for it to turn out that Monica had the cameras with her the entire time.
- Stealing from the Hotel: Chandler finds Ross packing his suitcase with as many complimentary toiletries as he can fit. He also waits until the last possible second to check out just so he can be sure he got his money's worth.Chandler: Soaps? Shampoos? Are you really taking all this stuff?
Ross: Why not? It's built into the price of the room. - Wham Line: Ross delivers one in front of his friends as he leaves the apartment:Ross: Hey my sweater! I've been looking for this for like a month.
