Rachel and Phoebe see Chandler talking with another woman and assume he's cheating on Monica. The truth is that Chandler was talking to a realtor, as he and Monica are looking to move into the suburbs to start their family. This news shocks the whole gang.

Monica: And about an hour ago, we made an offer. - Bait-and-Switch: Chandler gets off the phone with the realtor and tells the gang that his and Monica's offer was rejected. The others leave to let Chandler and Monica deal with the news. Once they're gone Chandler reveals he was lying so he could tell Monica in private that the offer was accepted and they're getting their dream house.
- Clip Show: The gang recall the good times spent in Monica's apartment in a bid to convince her and Chandler not to move away.
- Cold-Blooded Torture: Parodied when Ross talks about a hypothetical scenario where Mike cheats on Phoebe, to which she responds by taking it seriously, painfully holding Ross by the ear until he screams and demanding that he spill what he knows.
- Delicious Distraction: During the end credits Chandler and Monica give the others presents to distract them from the news that they got the house. Joey's present is a sandwich and it works so well he completely misses what Chandler and Monica said.
- Get a Room!: During the opening scene Monica starts gushing over the chocolate cake she's eating. Rachel tells her to get a room with the cake if she's enjoying it that much.Monica: I would get a room with this cake. I think I could show this cake a good time!
- Man Hug: To get Chandler and Monica to stay, Joey offers to stop coming over unannounced and eating their food. Chandler assures him that's not why they're moving out, prompting Joey to hug him. Joey then grabs some food out of the fridge.
- Mistaken for Cheating: Rachel and Phoebe think Chandler is cheating on Monica when they see him talking with another woman.
- Neat Freak: Monica cleans her vacuum cleaner with a smaller vacuum cleaner, then laments that there isn't an even smaller vacuum cleaner to clean that one.
- Sadistic Choice: Parodied. In the cold open, the gang discuss whether they'd give up food or sex. Ross is asked whether he'd give up sex or dinosaurs, a choice that stumps him so much, he compares it with Sophie's Choice. Joey likewise can't bring himself to pick between food and sex.
- Wham Line: After Monica and Chandler get upset about not getting the house and the others leave them to calm down, Chandler drops this line:Chandler: We totally got that house!
