Eddie officially obtains his driver's license, but is given an endless list of errands to run for his mom, such as driving Evan to fencing practice. Elsewhere, Louis is unhappy when Honey tags along on his and Marvin's weekend to a chili convention.
- Are We There Yet?: While Eddie is chauffeuring Evan to fencing practice instead of driving to the ICP concert, Eddie's friends start badgering him about how various issues, like how long it'll take and if they can pull over for a rest stop. This upsets Eddie enough to have him state "Don't make me turn this car around!", which is followed by an "Aw HELL no!" upon realizing he sounded just like Jessica, and then the decision to ditch the tasks Jessica set for him in order to attend the concert.
- Bring My Brown Pants: When Eddie and his friends actually reach the ICP concert, it turns out the crowd is a lot more frightening than they had anticipated; after Evan tries to get a lift home, gets confronted by Eddie, and the brothers have a talk that help Eddie realize how ungrateful he was towards Jessica, they return to the car to find the rest of the friends all nervously huddled together and Trent, who had asked about a rest stop on the way there, stating that he doesn't need one anymore.
- Dude, Where's My Respect?: Eddie is frustrated with Jessica using him to run chores without saying thanks, and tries to attend an Insane Clown Posse concert with his friends instead of delivering Evan to his lessons or a big-ticket item to a charity auction Jessica's involved in. However, once at the concert, Evan gives a "The Reason You Suck" Speech to Eddie about how he's always taken Jessica driving him places for granted, not even thanking her when she helped him pick up his driver's license; coupled with how his friends are more terrified of the other concert attendees than they expected to be, Eddie relents and is able to make it to the auction in time.
- Gag Penis: Marvin eventually admits to Louis that he has ED; he meant Extreme Diverticulitis, but Louis initially assumes he meant Erectile Dysfunction, and Marvin claims he has the opposite of the latter before correcting him.
- Innocent Innuendo: When tagging along with Marvin and Louis despite not having a pass for the Chili festival, Honey's slightly disappointed that the staff didn't check her for one, as she was hoping to "Flash & Dash"...and then explains to the guys that, rather than expose her skin, she was planning to take a picture with the staff and then run in while they were blinded by the camera's flash.
- Masochist's Meal: In the B Plot, it turns out that Honey isn't intruding on Marvin and Louis' guy time; instead, Marvin intentionally invited her to run interference, because he ate the "Louis Huang Fire-Alarm Chili" from "We Need to Talk About Evan" and didn't want Louis to feel guilty about the resulting permanent bowel distress that prevents him from eating any of the bean-based chili at the convention.
- Plot Allergy: Eddie originally had permission to attend the ICP concert with his friends. However, he slacked off on picking up groceries earlier in the week, so he made a dinner out of ramen noodles and Cool Ranch corn chips that Emery tried refusing but Eddie insisted he eat...only to learn the next morning that Emery is allergic to Cool Ranch and now Jessica's too preoccupied taking care of him to drive Evan to fencing practice.
- Sequel Episode: To "Driver's Eddie", as that episode was about Eddie starting his driving lessons and learning about the responsibilities of being a good driver, and in this episode he finally has his license and learns about the new responsibilities he has in the family.
- Your Approval Fills Me with Shame: After Evan gives Eddie a "The Reason You Suck" Speech about not giving Jessica any respect for driving him around before he got his license, an ICP concert attendee in full make-up states that she never got along with her mother but turned out fine; Evan just gives Eddie a look after that, and they decide to leave immediately.
