Roz meets with Rick's (the biological father of her unborn child) mother and father and much to the shock of her and her friends, they have large noses.
Tropes:
- Gag Nose: The noses of both Rick’s parents are abnormally large.
- Pun: Much of the episode's humor stem from nose-puns inadvertently made by Rick's parents.
- Not So Above It All: Frasier admonishes everyone for laughing at the noses of Rick’s parents, but after enough nose related puns from the both of them, he’s forced to retreat to the kitchen and bust out laughing.
- Tempting Fate: A somewhat belated example. Frasier assures Rob that her baby won’t possibly have a big nose like Rick’s parents since Rick’s nose is normal. Then later, Rick’s mom and dad show her a picture of Rick’s nose (though the audience seldom gets to see it) and it turns out Rick wasn’t born with an average nose.
