Original Air Date: November 15, 2017

The new director Azami announces the disbanding of all RS and groups in Tootsuki, and the creation of Central. With this new law, Eizan uses his power as an Elite Ten to buy the judges to void all possible Shokugekis against him.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Adaptation Expansion: The reactions from some of the clubs are shown, including the Miyazato Seminar and the Regional Cuisine RS, who weren't featured in the manga. Also Akira's expression at Jun's reaction is glimpsed as well.
  • Casual Danger Dialog: Right before going to his Shokugeki with Eizan, knowing well that he’s walking into a rigged duel, Soma informs his dorm mates about this... with a handwritten note, as if he went shopping for groceries. He even adds that he left them curry in the fridge.
  • Dick Dastardly Stops to Cheat: Despite Eizan being a member of the Elite Ten and having the knowledge and skill to easily win his shokugekis, he instead opted to buy the judges to have a secured win so this could destroy everybody's hopes.
    • Since Soma is still determined to challenge him, Eizan ordered his goons to evict the residents at Polaris ten days earlier (at the same time of their duel) so he could throw Soma's focus off.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Rindou scolds Eizan for having a Shokugeki and leaving all his paperwork pending. Why is she there? Because she dumped all hers on Tsukasa.
  • I'm Not a Hero, I'm...: While Eizan tries to intimidate Soma by accusing him of having a Hero Complex, Soma instead claims that he's just saving the dorm for his own benefit. Everyone knows this is not the only reason.
  • Mood Whiplash: The whole episode has a very serious and grim atmosphere up until Soma's Shokugeki against Eizan, where Rindou suddenly barges into the room and lights up the general mood.
  • Oh, Crap!: Shun is the first one to notice Eizan's gangsters approaching to the dorms, which shows his eyes under his bangs.
  • Out of Focus: Shun notes that Isshiki has been gone from the dorms for a while, when Eizan arrived to announce the demolition
  • Tender Tears: It's not until Yuuki starts crying when everybody else starts doing so.
  • Utopia Justifies the Means: Azami's main goal of Central is give everyone at Totsuki Academy equal footing. While this means throwing out the culling traditions the school is infamous for, giving students a fair chance, it also requires everyone to perform recipes exactly how he wants them to be. Anyone who rebels can be susceptible to expulsion. In short, equality at the cost of creativity. This also leads to wanting to shut down all of the clubs that don't meet his standards.
