Dead All Along: Hannah was a walker in the train car the whole time, a victim of June's experiments.
Dramatic Irony: June was convinced that Alicia survived despite her bite, but the audience knows that Alicia was able to amputate her bitten arm in enough time.
Driven to Suicide: After seeing his daughter as a walker and realizing all of his efforts to save her were in vain, Adrian enters the train car and allows her and several other walkers to kill him.
Evil Is Petty: Shrike cuts off June’s finger without any form of anesthesia to pay her back for cutting off her finger and those of others.
Fingore: June developed a habit of cutting off the trigger fingers of PADRE soldiers. Shrike later returns the favor.
Hope Spot: By the end, Finch is recovering, and June, Dwight and Sherry are planning to run away from Padre after putting Adrian and the test subjects down. Then Shrike enters...
Jerkass: As if she wasn't enough of one before, Shrike lets Adrian's zombified head bite Finch on the shoulder while making his parents (Dwight and Sherry) watch, but also cutting off June's trigger finger out of pettiness.
Reluctant Mad Scientist: June treated Hannah with radiation to try and counter her walker bite, having theorized that Alicia's own exposure was why she'd survived being bitten. It worked, but she was horrified at the side effects being just as deadly, so decided to stop... only for Shrike to force her to continue the experiments regardless of the cost.
Zombie Infectee: To ensure June continues her research, Shrike allows Adrian's zombified head to bite Finch on the shoulder to give her an incentive.
