Fanboy has to write a last-minute book report. Unfortunately, the book he chooses to write about is Kyle's Necronomicon.
Tropes:
- Alternate Identity Amnesia: Mr. Mufflin remembers nothing after turning into a zombie.Mr. Mufflin: The doc warned you, Hank. Time to cut out the spicy food.
- Blue-and-Orange Morality: Fanboy tells the zombified Mr. Mufflin that he'd like to graduate with highest honors. Mr. Mufflin interprets this as Fanboy saying he'd like to get his brain eaten by him at the graduation ceremony.
- Bottle Episode: Most of the episode takes place inside the school, mainly Mr. Mufflin's room and the hallways.
- Brain Theft: Zombie Mufflin reveals his true nature for getting on Fanboy's good side is to eat his brain and rule the whole school with it.
- Delayed "Oh, Crap!":Zombie Mufflin: We here to graduate Master Fanboy with highest honor: Me eat his brain.
Fanboy: Thank you, Mr. Mufflin. First, I'd like to say a few — Wait, what was that last part again?
Zombie Mufflin: His highest honor: Me eat your brain, take your power, become one with you! Then, move tassel to left. After that, refreshments and dancing, time permitting.
Fanboy: Um, okay. I think you may have the wrong idea about "highest honor"... - Exorcist Head: Happens to the zombified-Mr. Mufflin after Cheech runs past. Lampshaded by Kyle.Kyle: Did you see that?! His head swiveled clean around!
- Hulk Speak: Mr. Mufflin during his zombification.
- Laser-Guided Karma: After threatening to tell on Fanboy for forgetting to do his book report, mocking him in the hallways, and trying to deny Fanboy's sudden highest honors, Kyle is Reduced to Dust by the zombified Mr. Mufflin for the rest of the episode.
- Magical Incantation:
- The zombification spell Fanboy adds to the report goes as follows: "Foh-run-mar-kah, lah-kee-nix-zee-bol-tra-hee-meh."
- To turn Mr. Mufflin back to normal, Fanboy rewrites the report with the counterspell, which goes: "Shoo-lah-shoo-lah, par-lah-mar-loh-dit-kah, beh-lih-chick-noh-eeh-nee-vay."
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The normally optimistic Fanboy is not at all amused when Kyle mocks him in the halls after he is caught for not turning in his book report. It's so annoying that even Chum Chum doesn't find it funny as well.
- Reduced to Dust: Zombie Mufflin zaps Kyle with his eye beams, reducing him to ashes except for his shoes. He's still sentient however.
- Serious Business: Kyle really means business when Fanboy uses Necronomicon to write his book report, which is beyond dangerous due to being a book of the dead.
- Smoldering Shoes: When Kyle is Reduced to Dust by Zombie Mufflin, only his shoes remain with piles of ash in them.
- The Stool Pigeon: Kyle becomes a Petty Peter when he realizes Fanboy didn't write his book report and never even started on one. Fanboy turns this on him when he begins writing it himself before secretly using Necronomicon.
- You Called Me "X"; It Must Be Serious: Fanboy is utterly surprised when the zombified Mr. Mufflin calls him by his name instead of one of his insulting nicknames.
- You Fool!: Kyle says this when he realized Fanboy used Necronomicon for his report, which is not good news.
