"MOVIE GOOD FOR ED."

The Eds are getting excited because a monster movie marathon is about to start. Unfortunately, they are in Ed's house at the time and are kicked out by Sarah before they can even start. As such, they spend the rest of the episode trying to find another house in which to watch the marathon (ignoring Edd and Eddy's houses, since that would "ruin the plot", according to Eddy). Once they finally settle on Rolf's house, they have to make do with their host's incredibly tiny TV screen.

Knock Knock Who Ed provides the following tropes:

  • Air-Vent Passageway: The Eds escape Rolf's monotonous storytelling by crawling through one of these from his bathroom to the television set.
  • Artistic License – Biology: Ed's injuries include something Edd rightfully corrects him on.
Ed: Ow! My liver...Ow! My lasagna...
Edd: Ed! Lasagna isn't a major organ!
    Ed: It isn't?
  • Bad "Bad Acting":
    • Edd does a really bad job of reacting to Ed crashing.
    • Ed, being Ed of course, did a worse job as a pilot involved in a plane crash, as he started complaining his lasagna hurt.
  • Berserk Button: Don't get between Ed and his movies. Unless maybe if you're Sarah. Once the marathon starts, Ed angrily refuses to be interrupted, and the Eds are too scared to do anything but sit down until it's over.
  • Big Eater: Ed slurps up a cube of gelatin big as a house.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: When Edd points out that they can always go to his or Eddy's place, Eddy replies, "What? And ruin the plot?"
  • Bullying a Dragon: Eddy insulting the monster movie for having pathetic quality in front of Ed.
    • And even before that, he somehow believes it would be such a brilliant idea to taunt the likes of Sarah.
  • Calling Your Bathroom Breaks: The Eds invoke this trope to avoid hearing more of Rolf's story about his Great Nano & crawl through the bathroom vent to access the television set.
  • "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: Double D points out how they could easily just go to one of their houses to watch the marathon. Eddy acknowledges this, but points out how doing such would ruin the plot of the episode.
  • Creepy Doll: Ed accidentally turns their Trojan Horse doll into this.
    Jimmy: Ahh! Sarah! Bogeyman!
  • Death Glare: Ed gives one at Eddy (and also Edd) when Eddy insults the monster movie.
  • Dinner Deformation: After Ed eats the giant gelatin cube, his cheeks are inflated like balloons.
  • Gelatinous Encasement: The Eds' latest scam involves creating a giant cube-shaped pool of gelatin and charging the kids to swim in it. However, Edd overestimates the gelatin's viscosity, resulting in Ed getting immersed when he dives in. Worse, he ends up devouring the whole cube by sucking it all in from the inside.
  • Grub Tub: The aforementioned gelatin pool.
  • Hypocrite: Sarah yells at Ed to get out of the kitchen because she has a guest. Except Ed has guests too.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Eddy when he complains the black-and-white no budget monster movie is horrendously awful.
  • Karma Houdini: Sarah. She kicks her own brother and his friends out of the house just because she can (she even locks Ed out of his room) and she never gets any retribution for it.
  • Nightmare Face: MOVIE GOOD FOR ED!!
  • Oh, Crap!: Edd and Eddy when they realize that Ed's angry at them for bad-mouthing the movie. Eddy tries to talk his way out of Ed's wrath but instead gets met with a Big "SHUT UP!".
  • Out-of-Character Moment: Edd being excited about the monster movies. Justified because this is still early season 2 and he is closer to his season 1 characterization where he liked the same things of his friends.
  • Serious Business: Ed will watch his monster movie marathon, and his friends will watch it with him. When they try to leave after seeing Rolf's tiny TV, he gives them a dagger-shooting glare and forces them back onto the couch.
  • Special Effects Failure: In-Universe. Edd comments that even on a tiny TV screen, the production values look particularly cheap.
  • Trojan Horse: In the shape of a life-sized doll.
  • Wounded Gazelle Gambit: The Eds try this in Kevin's yard with Ed as the "gazelle". This, of course, fails miserably.
