Go To

Original air date: 10/16/2003 (produced in 2002)

Dora and Boots wonder what happens after the story of The Three Little Pigs, so they use their imaginations to continue the story with an adventure where they must test their bravery and fearlessness to find the king's mommy.

Tropes:

  • Agony of the Feet: The dragon gets a thorn stuck in her foot, so Dora and Boots remove it and bandage it to help her feel better.
  • Bowdlerization: The "Three Little Pigs" story told at the beginning of the episode changes the ending where the wolf, after failing to blow down the third pig's brick house, climbs down the chimney and dies in a boiling pot to one where he simply gives up and runs all the way home.
  • Does Not Speak Common: The dragon encountered at the rainbow only speaks Spanish.
  • Fairy Tale Free-for-All: The story Dora and Boots imagine not only features the Three Little Pigs, but appearances from other fairy tales such as Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Jack and the Beanstalk, and even Little Red Riding Hood.
  • Framing Device: The episode is imagined by Dora and Boots as they continue what happens after The Three Little Pigs.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Happens to each one of the obstacles Dora and Boots encounter:
    • The Three Bears show up, clearly unhappy that someone has been in their house; thanks to Dora, they become happy to see them.
    • The Giant comes down the beanstalk furious, then Dora adds he turns out to be a nice giant and has more eggs for Jack.
    • Finally at the rainbow, a ferocious dragon shows up, then Dora adds she immediately turns into a friendly dragon.
  • Storybook Episode: Deals with Dora and Boots imagining themselves on an adventure through classic fairytales.
