The 2005 re-release DVD cover for Disneyland's 50th anniversary celebration
Disneyland Fun is the 8th volume of the Disney's Sing-Along Songs direct-to-video series. Professor Owl is taking his bird kids on a field trip to Disneyland as they celebrate the 35th anniversary of the park. Outside of the US, the video was reshot at Disneyland Paris and titled Let's Go to Euro Disneyland, then retitled Let's Go to Disneyland Paris.

Featured songs:

  1. "Whistle While You Work" (originally from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)
  2. "Step in Time" (originally from Mary Poppins)
  3. "I'm Walking Right Down the Middle of Main Street USA" (Promotional song)
  4. "The Great Outdoors" (Country Bear Vacation)
  5. "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" (originally from Song of the South)
  6. "Rumbly in my Tumbly" (originally from The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh)
  7. "It's a Small World" ("it's a small world")
  8. "Making Memories" (Magic Eye Theater)
  9. "Grim Grinning Ghosts" (The Haunted Mansion)
  10. "The Character Parade" (Promotional song, with the lyrics completely rewritten from the original.)
  11. "When You Wish Upon a Star" (originally from Pinocchio)

Extra note:

  • At the time this was made, Chip 'n' Dale were wearing their Rescue Rangers uniforms.
  • Though it was rereleased as Volume 7 of the series, it's actually Volume 8.
  • Let's Go to Disneyland Paris omits "The Great Outdoors", "Making Memories" and the rap bridge from "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah", and includes "How D'ye Do and Shake Hands", "The Unbirthday Song" and "Pecos Bill".

Tropes for this episode include:

  • Answer Cut: At the end of "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah", one boy asks Chip and Dale where Roger Rabbit is. They don't know but immediately afterwards, there is a brief scene of Roger riding Autopia (or the cable car in Disneyland Paris) with another kid.
Roger: Now here's a ride that's just my speed!
  • Bedsheet Ghost: Donald Duck is seen dressed up as this during "Grim Grinning Ghosts".
  • Bowdlerize: The version of "Following the Leader" featured on this video replaces the offensive lyric "We're off to fight the Injuns" with "We won't be home till morning".
  • Demoted to Extra: Professor Owl only appears at the very beginning to introduce the show. Also, for some reason, his classroom is repainted from yellow to purple.
  • Faux Horrific:
    • The kids and bears scream while chasing each other in the "Great Outdoors".
    • Roger freaks out about all the fast rides, even though he isn't the one going on them.
  • Follow the Bouncing Ball: "Grim Grinning Ghosts" uses a bouncing jack-o-lantern in place of a ball (or Mickey head icon).
  • Food Porn: Try not to get hungry during the "Rumbly In My Tumbly" sequence.
  • Formula-Breaking Episode: Rather than being a Clip Show from various movies, this feature has kids going through Disneyland in either the U.S. or Paris while a choir sings covers of different songs.
  • Lost Food Grievance:
    • Downplayed. During "Making Memories", a girl drops her ice cream just after her picture is taken though she looks annoyed rather than sad.
    • At one point in "Rumbly in My Tumbly," Winnie the Pooh gets some popcorn, but then accidentally spills it. His body language clearly says "Oh bother!" and in the Disneyland Paris version he says it out loud.
  • Mood Whiplash: After "Making Memories", a lighthearted song about taking pictures, two kids imagine Disney villains coming to entertain at the Haunted Mansion with dancing trees.
  • Musical Chores: The characters sing "Whistle While You Work" with the offscreen choir while cleaning and doing other last minute things before the park opens.
  • Offscreen Teleportation: During "Whistle While You Work", after the White Rabbit tells Mickey it's time to open up the gate, Mickey is seen greeting guests at the check-in lines before appearing with Minnie, Donald, Chip, Dale, Pluto and Roger to greet the guests officially. The Disneyland Paris version has Tigger being the one to do the check-in lines.
  • Production Foreshadowing: During "When You Wish Upon a Star," Mickey shoots fire from his fingertips to kick off the fireworks show. The choreographer of this video, Barnette Ricci, would later create Fantasmic!, the first segment of which also has Mickey fire in this manner.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: "Rumbly In My Tumbly" ends with Pooh finally getting a pot of Hunny. The Disneyland Paris version has some kids giving Pooh a Hunny pot and hugging him as he eats.
  • A Wild Rapper Appears!: This release's version of "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" added a then-contemporary rap verse found in a promotional video for the opening of Splash Mountain, but not in the original song.
