Extra notes:
- Though released as Volume 6, it's actually Volume 7 of the series.
- The first volume to have the new box art used from 1990-1993.
This volume provides examples of:
- Mood Whiplash: The abrupt shift from the happy song "A Whale of a Tale" to the Tear Jerker "Someone's Waiting for You," followed just as abruptly by the loud, happy reprise of "Under the Sea."
- Produce Pelting: After singing his version of "Whale of a Tale" ("I don't have a tattoooooooo..."), Von Drake is hit in the face with a pie and asks, "Was I off-key?"
- Stock Footage: "By the Beautiful Sea" uses footage from Wild Waves and The Beach Party. "At the Codfish Ball" uses footage from "Merbabies", "How to Fish" and Bedknobs and Broomsticks. "Sailing, Sailing/Sailor's Hornpipe" uses footage from "No Sail", "How to Be a Sailor", "Sea Scouts", "Chips Ahoy", and Peter Pan.
- All of Professor Von Drake's hosting segments are from the Wonderful World of Color episode "Mediterranean Cruise".
