The Fudo family, in happier times.

"I'm sorry, Akira. For neglecting you all this time. I wanted to hug you again. To wipe away your tears. But... I'm dead now."
Kaori Fudo

Akira's parents, Kaori and Reijiro, are returning home from overseas when they are attacked by a demon. Now, Akira's father has been taken over by the sadistic Jinmen, and his mother is among those who have been devoured and whose souls are now trapped in the demon's body. Akira finds himself faced with the unenviable task of killing the demon and ending his family's suffering...

  • Adaptational Wimp: Jinmen, big time. While never a real heavy hitter he's lost a lot of his former powers from the manga and his serial killer-inspired attitude isn't very prevalent. He never has extendable hands that can heat up to boil flesh, nor can he fly here. Sure he has a whip tail here but even that's heavily underutilized. However this could be relegated to the fact the conflict isn't Jinmen himself but Akira reaching out to his father to become a Devilman like his son.
  • Always Second Best: Miko reveals to Kukun that what troubles her is how she's always been overshadowed by Miki in track-and-field.
  • Downer Ending: This episode ends on a depressing note for two reasons. One, Akira is forced to kill both his parents, who fell victim to the demon Jinmen. Two, while Miko and Kukun attend a Sabbath, a demon reveals herself and attacks Miko... and roll credits.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: While he could have been nicer about it, Ryo wasn't incorrect when he pointed out to Akira that Kaori is, for all intents and purposes, dead; and he has to kill the demon lest other humans suffer her fate.
  • Title Drop: The title refers to Kaori calling out to Akira and telling him to save her, and by that we mean kill her.
  • Too Dumb to Live: At this point it should be apparent that Sabbath parties are bad news, but Kukun takes Miko to one anyways.
