"Either live with me, or die with her!"

As a sleazy journalist plans to expose the existence of Devilman, a demon sets its sights on Akira's friend Miki. Akira must fight like hell to protect Miki from not only the demon hoping to possess her body, but also from Ryo, who is unwilling to take the chance of anyone knowing of their activities.

  • Artistic License – Biology: A minor example, but while it does help in adding tension to the scene, in real life the impact of two people butting heads would cause their foreheads to bruise, not bleed.
  • Asshole Victim: Nagasaki was a perverted creep who gets shot dead by Ryo and goddamn, did he deserve it.
  • Cassandra Truth: Luckily for Akira, or unluckily, Nagasaki gets shot down when he shows the video to his superior... since said superior is a demon in disguise, who then informs a few other demons about Akira.
  • Death by Secret Identity: Nagasaki was one of the few people who knew of Akira’s identity as Devilman and later ends up being killed by Ryo to preserve Akira’s secret.
  • Everyone Has Standards: While demons are fair game in Akira's kill list, he will not kill any humans, even if it means risking his identity being exposed.
  • Fan Disservice: Miki is naked for the last ten minutes of the episode. Only problem is that she's either being photographed creepily by Nagasaki or being possessed by a demon.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Miko is hinted to be this regarding Miki, since when Kukun asks her if she knows Miki, Miko sighs in bitter annoyance that she always gets the same question from anyone who approaches her.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: While attempting to kill Miki is taking it too far, Ryo points out to Akira that as much as possible, his identity as a Devilman should stay a secret lest they invite more trouble; never mind the fact that Nagasaki was planning to expose him one way or another.
  • Leave No Witnesses: Ryo executes Nagasaki to keep him from blabbing about demons, and threatens to do the same with Miki.
  • Pet the Dog: Ryo, despite having been established as a sociopath by this point, is courteous enough to give Nagasaki's mother a large sum of money for their troubles. Subverted later when it turns out he rigged the computer to explode.
