Produced 2006, aired in U.S. on 8/23/07

Production order: 47 (3-10)

Sam's enthusiasm for the trio's upcoming two months at summer camp quickly fades when they learn Lancer and Tetslaff are the counselors, and things only go downhill from there. Almost as soon as they arrive, their fellow campers start disappearing one by one, with the survivors insisting it's because of a monster in the woods, until only Danny and Sam are left. Once they discover just who's kidnapped their friends and why, the ghosts roaming the woods become the least of their worries.

This episode provides examples of:

  • As You Know:
Sam: (talking to herself) Right... humans pass through stuff in the Ghost Zone.
  • The Bus Came Back: Wulf returns for the first time since getting sucked back into the Ghost Zone two seasons ago in "Public Enemies."
  • Chekhov's Gun:
    • Brilliantly set. When Danny forgets the Fenton thermos in the canoe with Tucker, you expect this was done solely to make stopping whatever ghosts appear next more difficult. When that's exactly what happens, you assume that's the pay off and forget all about it... until Walker pulls it out later with no warning, obviously having taken it after he kidnapped Tucker. It's a rare perfect twist — set up so that you should have seen it coming but timed so that you didn't and feel all the shock Danny does when the proverbial gun goes off.
    • The bear costume that Lancer momentarily wore ends up being useful in deceiving Walker into believing Danny brought him Wulf.
  • Continuity Nod: Dash and Paulina talk about how there's supposed to be a monster in the woods and two more in the lake, referencing Danny, Skulker, and Skulker's serpent monster from "Girls Night Out".
  • Dramatic Irony: The audience sees who's hiding in the woods before any of the characters do.
  • Dwindling Party: The camp dwindles from many to two, one at a time.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: After spending several episodes (since "Public Enemies") as Walker's prisoner, Wulf is finally free for good.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Dash and Paulina may be jerks, but they're terribly worried when their best friends disappear.
  • For the Evulz: "Now I have the campers, the ghost boy, and Wulf," Walker says after he double-crosses Danny. But since he has the ghost boy and Wulf, he has no reason not to let the rest of the humans go. Looks like he just likes keeping people prisoner because he can.
  • Funny Background Event: In the teaser, during the quick pan down the bus, Dash can be seen staring lovestruck at a very annoyed Paulina.
  • Gambit Roulette: Danny and Walker trying to beat each other to the double-cross. Walker briefly wins, until Sam and Wulf are able to save Danny.
  • He Knows Too Much: Unlike the rest of the campers who he captured to get Danny's attention, Walker took Lester because he stumbled upon his hunting party for Wulf.
  • In the Back: At one point, Danny surprises Walker by zapping him in the back, which Walker condemns as a cowardly move.
  • Just You, Me, and My GUARDS!: The prisoner exchange Walker arranges with Danny turns out to be this, of course.
  • Kill It with Ice: Without the Fenton thermos, Danny traps the ghosts he fights by freezing them.
  • Make You Watch: Turns out this is what Walker has in mind when he pulls out the electroshock collar.
Danny: You can't scare me, Walker!
Walker: I'll make a note of that, ghost boy. But you're not the one who's gonna wear this... (holds it towards Sam)
    Danny: NO!
  • Mass "Oh, Crap!": The camper's reaction when they learn their teachers are going to be their counselors for two months.
  • Noodle Incident: Whatever argument Dash and Paulina had that their bunkmates found unbearably boring to listen to.
Paulina/Dash: So he/I was all, "No way!" And I/she was all, "Yes, way!"
    Star/Kwan: No way!
  • Place Worse Than Death: According to Tucker, being eaten by a monster in the woods is still preferable to being stuck in a cabin with Dash and Kwan.
  • Potty Emergency: At the beginning of the episode, Lester needs to use the bathroom, but is forced to go into the bushes before he's captured by Walker. At the end of the episode, he still hasn't gone to bathroom for two days while stuck in suspended animation. Tucker advises Danny and Sam to get out of his way when they wake him up.
  • Pre Ass Kicking One Liner:
Walker: This game of cat-and-mouse is now over. And in case you had any doubt... you're the mouse. (sucks Danny into the Fenton thermos)
  • Reverse Polarity: Danny claims this is how he uses the Fenton thermos to close the Ghost Zone portal.
  • Sadistic Choice: Walker offers to release everyone if Danny turns over Wulf.
  • Stating the Simple Solution: While Danny and Sam try to get the suspended animation container out by passing through its wall, Wulf merely pulls a switch with an “OPEN/CLOSE” label to open it.
    Wulf: Uh, DUH!
  • Sudden Name Change: "Lester's" name was Nathan in Reign Storm.
  • Summer Campy: Checks all the boxes of a mass Horrible Camping Trip.
  • Tongue on the Flagpole: Just before leaving the prison, Wulf licked the frozen Walker and got his tongue stuck to him.
Sam: Ferocious? Yes. Smart? Not so much.
  • We Have Forgotten the Phlebotinum: Danny's in the middle of his fight with the second ghost they've found before he realizes he accidentally left the Fenton thermos with Tucker. Luckily his ice powers do in a pinch.
  • Wham Shot: Walker whipping the Fenton thermos out from behind his back.
