Babs meets up with Harley for GothamCon, the convention all about Gotham City! A special celebrity guest is promised...but it's not who anyone was expecting.
Tropes:
- Asshole Victim: Zigzagged and Deconstructed. Harley attempts to make Robin this after he viciously humiliated Barbara. However, when Barbara thinks he is killed, she breaks into tears, saying that despite what he did she never wanted him dead. However as it turns out, Robin was alive the whole time.
- Black Comedy: A cheery upbeat song plays while Babs and Harleen walk through a crime-ridden Gotham, which includes a scene where they lie down on chalk outlines.
- Chalk Outline: After the Spontaneous Choreography, Babs and Harleen are seen lying on a pair of chalk outlines. Then they roll away, and the chalk outlines themselves start dancing on the pavement.
- Chekhov's Gun: The genuine Joker's Steamroller exposed at the con, that Harleen gushes over, is naturally used by Harley Quinn toward the end to try crushing Robin.
- Enemy Mine: Batgirl and Harley work together to get rid of the bomb the latter had set up.
- Jerkass: Robin. He humiliates Babs in front of the entire Q & A audience for pretty much no reason, prompting Harley to put on her villain outfit and obliterate him to avenge her best friend.
- Likes Clark Kent, Hates Superman: Babs and Harleen are best friends, but Batgirl and Harley Quinn are archenemies. Which they demonstrate by Harley trying to kill Robin for embarrassing her best friend, who repeatedly stops her attempts, not realizing why Harley's trying to kill Robin.
- Miles Gloriosus: Robin, again. He brags about what a bigshot he is for working with Batman, but when faced with actual danger at the con, he immediately panics and does whatever the villain facing him yells at him to do. (In this case, sign an autograph.)
- Oh, Crap!: Harley sets a series of death traps to try to get even with Robin for upsetting Barbara (which are thwarted by Barbara as Batgirl). Babs explains she does hate Robin, but she doesn't want him dead. Harley has a heartwarming moment at seeing her friend's emotional maturity...then panics when she remembers there's one last trap she set, a Cartoon Bomb that Robin's sitting right on top of.
- Rescue Equipment Attack: Batgirl and Harley work together to get rid of a bomb and they eventually manage to put out the fuse with a fire extinguisher. They shake hands, but then they remember that they're enemies, so Harley sprays Batgirl in the face with foam before running away.
- Shout-Out: The entire bomb sequence is one to Adam West's Batman: The Movie.Harley Quinn: Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb.
- Spontaneous Choreography: A S.W.A.T. team joins Babs and Harleen dancing in Gotham.
- Vertigo Effect: A zoom is centered on Babs' face while the background moves away, as she reacts to the "special guest" at the convention not being Batman but Robin.
