While trying to figure out a difficult math problem, Craig gets dragged into an adventure with Sparkle Cadet.

Tropes:

  • Enmity with an Object: Kelsey and J.P. are so frustrated that Craig doing homework ate up so much of their playtime that, when Craig leaves them to look after it, they both have to contend with a strong urge to destroy it instead.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: In the middle of playing along with Sparkle Cadet, Craig hopes that they make it back to the stump in time. Once he says "time", he realizes how to solve the extra credit problem.
  • Recycled Animation: Lampshaded. J.P. comments that Sparkle Cadet arrives the same way every single time, and Kelsey tells him that she recycled the animation, just like how magical girl anime often use stock footage.
  • Sequel Hook: A fake future episode is teased at the end, as Sparkle Cadet sets up a future scenario talking to a fake audience.
  • Sure, Let's Go with That: When Kelsey and J.P. end up wrapped in tape, they agree with Sparkle Cadet's assumption that it was the Denominator who tied them up, rather than admit that they did it to themselves.
  • Train Problem: Craig is stumped by the extra credit problem in his homework: if a train going 60 mph leaves the station at 3:00 PM, another train going the other way at 80 mph leaves at 4:00 PM, and the stations are 60 miles apart, when would they meet on the tracks? With Sparkle Cadet's help, Craig realizes that it’s a trick question: The first train would have arrived at the station just as the second train was departing, and thus would never meet.
