The KND infiltrate and sabotage the Villain Choice Awards.

Tropes:

  • Always Someone Better: The Toiletnator loses the award of the best toilet-based villain to another toilet-themed villain called Potty Mouth, proving he can't win even in that one specific category.
  • Badass in Distress: Numbuh 1 was captured off-screen to be given as the trophy for Villain Of The Year.
  • Bait-and-Switch: When Numbuh 5 is heading across the main floor with the detonator wire, Father tells her to stop and asks if she "thought she could sneak by him", making it seem as though Father recognized her. In actuality, he didn't and just wanted the "caterer" to get their vehicle out of his parking spot.
  • Bound and Gagged: Numbuh 1 gets tied to a trophy and gagged for the episode.
  • Brick Joke: When the KND, disguised as caterers, enter the garage where the villains had their vehicles parked, they took over Father's parking space. Later during the ceremony, Father makes a complaint to the "caterers".
  • Complaining About Rescues They Don't Like: At the end of the episode, Numbuh 1 complains that their plan to rescue him was extremely hairbrained. Numbuh 5 just puts the gag back on.
  • Crazy Enough to Work:
    • Numbuh 2's plan is so convoluted that Numbuh 4 and 5 are highly skeptical it'll work. Then, it did work.
    • Numbuh 4's plan to get Numbuh 1 out of the villains' grasp is to simply rush in and grab him. Numbuh 5 thinks it's stupid until she and the others had no other choice. Thankfully, it worked.
  • Defeated and Trophified: What's the prize for the Number 1 Villain? Numbuh 1 himself, gagged, tied up and painted in gold.
  • Failed a Spot Check: None of the villains notice a wire attached to the envelope with the Villain of the Year inside.
  • Foreshadowing: Numbuh 1 didn't show up for the mission and it's pointed out that this is highly out of character for him. It turns out that Numbuh 1 had been captured by the villains.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: When Numbuh 4 heads into the room with all the award envelopes, awards can be seen for various categories such as "Best Costume", "Most Diabolical", "Best Cackle", "Evilest Sneer", "Best Banter", "Best Supporting Villain", "Best Monologue", and "Drooliest".
  • Gilligan Cut: After Numbuh 2 has finished explaining the plan to the team:
Numbuh 4: Are you kidding me!? That plan will never work!
    (Cut back to the treehouse)
Numbuh 4: I can't believe that plan worked!
  • Jerkass Has a Point: In the beginning of the episode, Numbuh 1 has every right to be annoyed with his teammates not paying attention to him as he is giving the details for an important mission, especially when it is a chance for to redeem themselves for a disastrous failure of a mission a week before the events of the episode.
  • Mass "Oh, Crap!": Sector V's reaction when they realize what Numbuh 1 was captured by the villains to serve as the prize for Villain of the Year.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: The news reporter who appears during the end credits sequence is clearly based on the late Joan Rivers.
  • Noodle Incident: A week prior the events of the episode, Sector V failed at their mission, which ended with Sector T getting rubber cement in their hair which they are still trying to get out at the time. The reason why Numbuh 1 wants the mission to be a success is so they can redeem themselves for the failed mission.
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: The villains managing to capture Numbuh 1 for him to serve as the award for Villain Of The Year.
  • Oh, Crap!: Father twice. The first is when his competition for Villain of the Year is announced and the second is when he realizes Stickybeard overheard him dissing him to a reporter.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Sector V's disguises, including Numbuh 4's, manage to get them into the awards show undetected, despite the flaws in them, such as Numbuh 4's shoes can be seen in his Knightbrace disguise.
  • Remember the New Guy?: Apparently, there's another toilet-based villain besides Toiletnator called Potty Mouth. Toiletnator rightfully gets irked when he ends up winning the Best Toilet-themed Villain award.
  • Riddle for the Ages: Who did win Villain of the Year? The episode ended with the contenders bickering with each other over who was more deserving of the award.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: The appropriately named Potty Mouth, who trashtalks in a tame-yet-disgusting manner. Robin Food stops him from going too far because "this is a family show".
  • Skewed Priorities: The villains are more concerned with fighting each other than they are with chasing after Sector V, who had reclaimed Numbuh 1. Father in particular was ready to go after them, only to get distracted with defending his claim over being Villain of the Year.
  • Stupidest Thing I've Ever Heard: Upon learning Numbuh 4's plan to save Numbuh 1 is to simply run on stage and grab him, Numbuh 5 Facepalms and calls it the dumbest plan she has ever heard.
  • Sweet Polly Oliver: Both Numbuhs 3 and 5 wear two male costumes for their parts of the plan, the former as a doctor and a stagehand and the latter as a waiter and a stage manager.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: When Sector V saves Numbuh 1, he yells at them for taking too long to save him even though they never knew he was kidnapped to begin with. Also he gets annoyed with their plan to save him even though it worked and it was the only option they had.
  • The Unreveal: It is never revealed who the Villain of the Year was, as Sector V's explosives go off once the envelope is opened.
  • Unspoken Plan Guarantee: Double-subverted. A big chunk of the episode is an Imagine Spot of Numbuh 2 outlining his Zany Scheme to infiltrate the awards; as soon as he's done, the episode skips ahead to the very end of the scheme, indicating it went off without a hitch (and effectively turning said Imagine Spot into a Flash Forward). Then it turns out there's a last-minute complication after all: the villains have turned Numbuh 1 into the trophy.
  • Villain Song: Robin Food and his Hungry Men introduce the Awards with "We're the Villains".
Numbuh 2: Ugh, I always hate those cheesy opening numbers.
  • Wham Line: Just when it seems like Sector V's plan has gone off without a hitch and all that's left is for them to enjoy the fruits of their labor, Robin Food reveals the prize for Villain Of The Year and in the process puts a major wrench into the team's plan.
Robin Hood: This year's number one villain will receive....Numbuh 1! (Reveals Numbuh 1 dolled up like a trophy)
