Now loading tropes:

  • The Ace: As much as Moosk hated his accounting job, he was very good at it. So good that leaving the company severely lowered their productivity.
  • Actor Allusion: Jim Cummings voices Moosk, and he also voiced the character he was modeled after - Minsc from Baldur's Gate.
  • Anti-School Uniforms Plot: The plot of the episode is kickstarted by all the boys being required to to wear a tie to school. In typical Kids Next Door fashion, rather than protest, Numbuh 1 goes to destroy the source of all the ties.
  • Badass Boast:
Moosk: Where Moosk goes, ties get the butt-kicking!!
  • Big "NO!": Numbuh 1 screams this at Moosk's Heroic Sacrifice.
  • Defector from Decadence: Numbuh 1 is shocked that Moosk hates ties despite being an adult, and he explains that he used to be a great accountant wearing a tie everyday. Eventually, though, he realized he hated his job and tie, and promptly quit his job to fight ties rather than wear them.
  • Dressed in Layers: Windsor reveals he was actually wearing a business suit and tie underneath his army outfit.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Windsor does love his father a lot as his betrayal is to save his father's company.
  • Expy:
    • Moosk is an homage to Minsc from Baldur's Gate, even sharing the same voice actor.
    • Froggy McDougal is a parody of the Lord of the Rings character Gollum.
    • Windsor revealing himself as a Junior Executive who has control over the Queen Tie references Tom Riddle from Harry Potter.
  • Fingore: Froggy lost one of his fingers to a tie.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: Numbuh 1 is initially wary of Moosk due to him being an adult. By his Heroic Sacrifice, though, he sees him as much of a comrade as he did.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: To finally defeat the Queen Tie and protect Numbuh 1, Moosk is inevitably caught in her last dying tie breath, forcing him to become an accountant again. Numbuh 1 helps him snap out of it by discretely giving him a can of spray starch.
  • He's Back!: At the end of the episode, Nigel discreetly sends Moosk a can of starch, triggering the man's hatred of ties once again.
  • I Surrender, Suckers: Moosk initially seems to surrender to Windsor's Sadistic Choice and agree he and Numbuh 1 should wear ties, only to secretly grab his spray starch guns that he was hiding and attack the Queen Tie.
  • Keystone Army: With the death of the Queen Tie, the smaller parasite ties all die off.
  • The Mole: Windsor is revealed to be one for Moosk's group. It turns out that he’s the son of Moosk's old boss from when he was an accountant. After Moosk left, the company began to plummet and Windsor's dad could never get close enough to Moosk to get him back, but Windsor knew that he could. He joined Moosk waiting for him to slip up and take him back, but after realizing regular ties wouldn't work on him, he tricked him into going straight to the Queen Tie, who could force Moosk to wear a tie again whether he wants to or not.
  • No-Sell: Windsor is unaffected by the Queen Tie's breath because he is already wearing a tie.
  • Punny Name: Winsdor, as in Winsdor Knot, a common way to tie a necktie. It counts as Foreshadowing that he's The Mole.
  • Sacrificial Lamb: Froggy is the first member of the group taken out, showing just how dangerous the Queen Tie is.
  • Shadow Discretion Shot: When Moosk attacks the Queen Tie with his spray starch guns, Numbuh 1 tackles Windsor to the ground and in one brief moment when Moosk blasts the detonator to activate the bombs, Numbuh 1 can be seen beating up Windsor while they are obscured in shadows.
  • Stab the Scorpion: At one point it seems like Moosk tries to blast Numbuh 1, who ducks to avoid it. Right as Numbuh 1 begins to say he knew Moosk couldn't be trusted, Moosk shows him he actually shot a polyester tie that was about to get around Numbuh 1's neck.
  • Wham Line: After Winsdor is somehow able to No-Sell the Queen Tie's breath, Moosk asks in confusion why Winsdor was not forced to wear a tie.
Windsor: Moosk, Moosk, Moosk... I'm already wearing a tie! (rips off his army suit to reveal he’s wearing a business suit and tie underneath) I always have been!
  • Wham Shot: After the Queen Tie breathes on Winsdor, instead of him turning into an accountant like Froggy was just a little bit ago, he remains exactly the same, to the shock of Numbuh 1 and Moosk. This is followed not long after by him ripping off his army suit to reveal he’s already wearing a business suit and tie underneath, and was acting as The Mole in the group.
