- Easily Forgiven: So Lizzie acts possessive, gets Numbuh 1 a mind-controlling Boyfriend Helmet, nearly estranged him from his friends and has him fight his own said-friends. What does Numbuh 1 do when he's freed from the Helmet's influence? He tells her to never do it again... and then invites her to get some ice cream.
- Fighting Your Friend: The operatives square off with the brainwashed Numbuh 1 at the restaurant, and after they are all neutralized, the device explodes and returns Numbuh 1 to normal after his reaction to his expensive bill.
- Mind-Control Device: The "boyfriend helmet" also known as the Yes-Dear 5000, which fuses with the victim's brain if worn long enough, to make Numbuh One her boyfriend. And the best part? It's sold as a toy!Numbuh Four: They sell these things?
Numbuh Five: Well, they ain't cheap. - Punny Name: The restaurant Lizzie drags Numbuh 1 to is called "Le Ball du Shane" — as in "the ball and chain", a slang term referring to women who domineer over their spouses.
- Race Against the Clock: Numbuh Five reveals that the helmet will eventually permanently fuse with the victim, creating an urgency for Sector V to rescue its leader.
- She's Not My Girlfriend: As soon as an embarrassed Numbuh One introduces his team to Lizzie, Numbuhs Two and Four proceed to tease that "Nigie" has a girlfriend, to which Uno can only protest is false.
- Shockingly Expensive Bill: It's only when brainwashed Numbuh One receives extremely expensive restaurant bill that causes Lizzie's Boyfriend Helmet on his head to go haywire and explode, returning him to normal.Numbuh 1: WHAT?! How can you charge that much for a lousy STEAK?! UGH!!!! It's, it's, it's - IT'S HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!!!
- You're Just Jealous: Numbuh 1 suggests that Numbuh 5 is jealous of Lizzie when she tries to snap him out of the brainwashing. She is disgusted at the notion and tells him not to hold his breath before he hurls her into another lovey-dovey couple's table.
