Morgan just pantsed us!
-Chuck

Chuck worries Morgan is letting the Intersect change his attitude for the worse. Sarah gives Casey relationship advice on Gertrude Verbanski. Captain Awesome discovers shocking news about Jeff and Lester.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Belligerent Sexual Tension: Between Casey and Verbanski, shown to best effect during the fight in her office.
  • The Chosen One: Invoked by Lester when Awesome briefly leaves baby Clara with him while he drags Jeff out of a fume-filled room. Lester's baby-watching is so poor she's crying when Awesome returns a minute or two later.
  • Cliffhanger: Morgan is himself again and wants the faulty Intersect out of his head. But he's spent at least this episode telling anyone who's stood still long enough that he's the Intersect, so the CIA has put out a kill order on him. This news comes just as Morgan approaches his car, which has a bomb under it...
  • Easily Forgiven: Played with. Chuck and Sarah forgive Morgan when they realise his actions were a result of a Trojan horse in the Intersect he uploaded. Casey, however, is not willing to let him off the hook for breaking Alex's heart.
  • Papa Wolf: Casey is not happy when Morgan dumps Alex by text.
Casey: [To Alex] What do you want me to do? You want me to kill him? 'Cause I'll kill him. Better yet, let's keep him alive. You can work him over for a while.
  • Mugged for Disguise: Morgan steals files on a job from Beckman from Carmichael Industries, so team Chuck break into Verbanski Corp's offices to steal them right back. They do this by tranquing some guards and stealing their uniforms.
  • No Ontological Inertia: Awesome realises that Jeff's... Jeffness is a result of carbon monoxide poisoning from sleeping in his running van. Once he stops, Jeff becomes erudite and civil. Because brain damage famously heals if you stop gassing yourself.
  • Shot in the Ass: Sarah fires a tranq dart at Morgan, who dodges using the Intersect. While he's heckling her, Chuck comes up behind and pulls his pants down, making Morgan spin around in outrage and get a tranq dart in the butt.
  • Shout-Out: Morgan uses a bullet time manoeuvre to avoid a tranq dart, possibly as an Actor Allusion to guest star Carrie-Anne Moss.
  • Tampering with Food and Drink: Chuck finally gets through to Morgan that something's wrong with his Intersect by getting him to remember the time he was pantsed in front of the school, and the revenge they took on the Alpha Bitch responsible. Helped by Chuck, Morgan remembers how they stole her sandwich and garnished it... with Morgan's moustache.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass:
    • Morgan's Acquired Situational Narcissism has evolved into borderline psychotic behaviour. Thanks to the influence of a corrupted Intersect, he steals files from the team on his way to work for Verbanski, dumps Alex by text, and gets a douchey haircut.
    • Apparently this isn't the first time Morgan has let something go to his head; in middle school, he grew his first moustache and became a complete tool for a few weeks until an Alpha Bitch pantsed him in front of the whole school.
  • Wham Line: From General Beckman.
Beckman: Morgan Grimes has the Intersect?
Sarah: Look, it was a mistake. Remember the glasses you sent to us after we took down Volkoff?
Beckman: Listen to me Walker, I *never* sent you Intersect glasses.
