"I want to be king! I want to be king! My bloody turn, you old bag!"
Prince Charles

The ninth episode of the first season of Celebrity Deathmatch, known as Battle of the Bulls.

This episode features three predetermined fights. The first undercard fight sees Steven Seagal and David Spade returning to settle their feud. The second undercard fight features a battle of the nicknames between (The Artist Formerly Known as) Prince and Prince Charles. The third fight and main event features Chicago Bulls stars Michael Jordan and Dennis Rodman facing off.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Abusive Parents: During a pre-fight segment of his training montage, Charles is mentored by his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. She is shown to have a no-nonsense attitude and is quite strict, but also has no problem belittling him to the media and on the sidelines.
  • Attack the Mouth: Michael Jordan manages to stuff an entire basketball inside of Dennis Rodman's mouth, and starts bouncing him around the outside of the ring.
  • Batter Up!: During the main event, Michael Jordan tries to attack Dennis Rodman with a baseball bat, but this ends up being a No-Sell as all of his attacks miss.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: David Spade spends most of his fight sassing Steven Seagal and taking his abuse, up until he is thrown from the ring.
  • Bling-Bling-BANG!: David Spade uses one of Scottie Pippen's NBA championship rings as a projectile for his makeshift slingshot, which ends up winning him the fight.
  • Boom, Headshot!: David Spade launches a chunky ring through Steven Seagal's head.
  • The Cameo: This episode features appearances from Scottie Pippen and Elizabeth II.
  • Continuity Nod: The fight between David Spade and Steven Seagal takes place following an altercation between the two in the previous episode.
  • Cool Crown: Queen Elizabeth II throws her own crown into the ring as a projectile weapon and hits Prince in the shoulder.
  • Crossdresser: Dennis Rodman enters the ring wearing a wedding gown, a reference to a real-life publicity stunt in which he wore a wedding dress.
  • David Versus Goliath: The fight between David Spade and Steven Seagal is described as this by both Nick and Johnny.
  • Flipping the Bird: David Spade starts off his fight by giving one of these to Steven Seagal.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Prince Charles becomes very jealous over the attention his mother is getting.
  • Jerk Jock: Basketball star Dennis Rodman is portrayed as an outright asshole, in contrast to his far nicer opponent Michael Jordan. In fact, during his interview with Stacy Cornbred, he beats up a child for pointing out that he missed a free throw in a recent game.
  • Knighting: Before delivering the fatal blow to the head with his mallet, Charles dubs his opponent "Sir Artist formerly known as Prince".
  • Never Mess with Granny: Queen Elizabeth II is not someone you want to double-cross, and quickly puts Charles in his place when he suddenly turns on her.
  • Rebel Prince: After winning his fight against Prince, Charles is overcome with envy upon seeing the audience's adoration for his mother, and decides to overthrow her. It doesn't end well for him.
  • Right Through the Wall: The Training Montage for Prince is... well, it's him having sex with a woman behind closed doors, and we only hear the action that's going on from the other side of the wall.
  • Royal Brat: Queen Elizabeth II accuses Charles of being one when she scolds him for attacking her.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Prince Charles is, of course, having to fight in the ring himself. But also, his mother Queen Elizabeth II is an effective mentor and comes to his aid when the fight isn't going in his favor.
  • Stuffed into a Trashcan: Michael Jordan slam-dunks Dennis Rodman into a trashcan at the side of the ring at the end of their fight.
  • Torso with a View: David Spade fires a chunky ring from the audience with a slingshot, which goes straight through Steven Seagal's head and leaves a gaping hole behind.
  • Training Montage: During the lead-up to their fight, we are shown two different videos portraying how both Prince Charles and Prince prepared.
  • True Blue Femininity: Queen Elizabeth II is shown wearing a light blue cardigan in her appearance.
  • Universally Beloved Leader: Literally everybody loves Queen Elizabeth II, and the audience show their appreciation by throwing roses into the ring.
  • Upper-Class Equestrian: While his opponent rides into the ring on a motorcycle, Prince Charles rides into the ring on horseback.
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: Aside from him entering the ring in a wedding dress, Dennis Rodman is shown wearing nothing but a pair of underwear.
    • David Spade is also shown wearing nothing but a pair of shorts during his fight.
  • Weaponized Headgear: Queen Elizabeth II's crown proves to be an an effective weapon.
