"Where's Clam?" contains examples of:

  • Big Damn Reunion: When Clam finds Raj, the music swells as Clam gives him a hug.
  • Blatant Lies: Raj makes some increasingly bogus lies about where Clam went, culminating in claiming that he's invisible and flying. Lazlo falls for it.
  • Fingore: Clam gets a splinter stuck in his finger, pulls it out, and then remembers what Raj said about fair share and sticks the splinter back in. He's not too bothered by this.
  • Gainax Ending: The invisible ink falls between the floorboards of Jelly Cabin and gets into the water system, turning everything and everyone invisible.
  • Invisibility Ink: Raj uses invisible ink to write a farewell letter to Lazlo, but the words vanish before Lazlo can read it. Eventually, Lazlo thinks the ink is what made Clam invisible, and uses it on himself to become invisible. At the end of the episode, all of the buildings become invisible due to the invisible ink getting into the pipes.
  • It's All About Me: Raj shows no concern for Clam and even gratuitously uses his water bottle to help refresh himself, despite only having to carry a twig, before offering it to Clam.
  • Lazy Bum: Due to being weak and lazy, Raj forces Clam to carry all his firewood and then grows tired from carrying a single twig.
  • Oblivious Guilt Slinging: Lazlo does this to Raj after another lie of his.
  • Sleeping Dummy: Raj tries to make a Clam dummy out of a traffic cone and a bag of chips, but Lazlo sees through it.

"Bowling for Dinosaurs" contains examples of:

  • Bowling for Ratings: In this episode, Scoutmaster Lumpus tricks the campers of Camp Kidney into building him a bowling alley by having them dig for dinosaur bones. While the other campers soon realize they've been hoodwinked, Lazlo, Raj, and Clam continue to dig for dinosaur bones, interfering with Lumpus' bowling game in the process. They eventually manage to find a real (living) dinosaur skeleton under Lumpus' office.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Lumpus hits on the idea of planting a fake dinosaur bone, believing that Lazlo will stop digging and let him bowl in peace after finding it. Lumpus fails to remember, however, that the rest of the campers also wanted to find dinosaur bones and once Lazlo seemingly finds proof there are bones on the premises, they spring into action and destroy his bowling alley.
  • Gainax Ending: Clam discovers a living T. rex skeleton that destroys Lumpus's cabin and plummets into the earth with it.
  • Gone Horribly Right: Lumpus's false flag bone only results in the rest of the campers wanting to find their own bones and helping destroy his bowling alley.
  • Implausible Deniability: Despite Edward spelling out plainly that Lumpus tricked them all for his own personal gain, Lazlo refuses to acknowledge the deceit and keeps digging. He also completely ignores Lumpus's increasingly transparent antipathy towards him and takes it as a helping hand.
  • Kick the Dog: Lumpus openly brags about how the campers' hard work gave him his own private bowling alley and mocks them when they are appropriately offended.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Lumpus gets payback for it, though, when Lazlo refuses to give up and keeps digging. This sets off a chain of events that result in the loss of his alley and his cabin.
